If you have a decent inverter in your rig it's a good idea to keep an electric tea kettle in your truck to warm up water and use it to thaw out frozen stuff like that exhaust pipe for your diesel fired bunk heater
Exactly ...and for those who don't know it an APU on most can be put in the econo. mode when on hometime which keeps a fridge, warmth as your saying and trickle charge to batteries if they get below voltage point. But they will never do this..lol
I think that is one of the great things CFI does for when your truck is in the shop they get you a hotel and pay you for breakdown. Had someone from orientation when I had worked there that became friends with, helped him get going on his own after he left his trainers truck, got put into breakdown situation (his trucks transmission was... toasted, one of the freightliners).. He got more a day then I did waiting 28hours for a load to become ready lol
Just FYI, it does matter how far do you set the triangles, yo need to make sure they are DOT distance approved, if somebody crashes in the back of your truck and the triangles were not placed at the right distance is on you!

I dunno anymore, been working on boats too long lol). You'll spend $400-500 for a good stash, but you'll never be stuck because of broken air lines again. A spare brake can and/or airbag isn't a bad idea either. Just make sure they're correct or you'll end up kneecapping yourself.

if an air tank is leaking, you can stuff any piece of wood or rubber type plug you have to temporarily maintain pressure. No need to call a tow-limp to the next station.
Small blow torch will melt the ice an close the value..
Hotel? Thats an apartment never been in one like that lol
Damn driver you have the same kind of luck I'm having but I've been broke down in Waco Texas. My transmission went out in the middle of the construction zone in Waco Texas. We will stop for a few minutes when I put in drive it done not go anywhere. In the middle of the construction zone then you realize how quick you can come number one . With in within a month my rear end of my truck went out in North Carolina and about 2 months after that my airlines busted underneath my truck you haven't seen kind of like I'm having. Each time I was down about 2 weeks.
Great video! So much better understanding after already reading the book a couple times and I'm only 2 min into ur vid lol
Dave, you just taught me something. That Rubber Mallet works a lot better than a steel mallet
