It has been a total game-changer changing the bed from going length-wise to going horizontally like yours. Totally made things fall into place more easily in the van and in my vision of what I want to do and in organization. Thank you so so so much. Also thank you so much for your replies. So kind of you.
I try as best as I can! I am usually out of cell service range, boondocking and such, so I tend to get behind on answering comments. Thank you for your patience! 🥰
This is the simpliest and neatess van build out and still have all the necessities ..so efficient and comfortable looking. Using the zipped pillow shams as storage for extra seasonal clothing is a great hiding spot out in the open. Thank you for sharing.
Everything is so well thought out. You are so sweet. Love your organization for sure but what I love the most is just how lovely and serene you have made your home. Blessings to you. Safe travels 💜! Can’t wait to see your next adventure! Oh and that fireplace,...AWESOME!
Very smart setup with a great use of space especially the bed. It makes sense. 💙 Minimal, clean and cozy. Any thing you can bungee down is a great idea. Stay safe during your hiking adventures ✨️🙏
I LOVE your van. So many great things set up. The wooden blocks you have under the legs of your cabinet could easily be replaced and tidied up with a piece of pvc pipe big enough for the leg to slip into, then cut the pipe the length of elevation you need. Then you have small white round legs for your cabinet and more foot room. Love you window and door covers.
Beautiful van "no build"! I love that little fireplace lamp and the lanterns for at night. It seems perfect and still plenty of puck lights if you need to see something more closely. You have a knack for making your space cozy and uncluttered even though it has tons of stuff. Happy hiking :)
Thanks for sharing your van tour. I love IKEA and you have done an amazing job with space and organizing utilization. I have lived full time in a Bluebird Wanderlodge since 2016. Safe travels 🚎
Excellent idea how u organized the kitchen inside. What I loved was sliding out to the left and right your rubber drawer of dishes and the drawer of bags. I hadn’t seen that format. Major alpha info. Thank u
Personally, I feel like it needs so much more security wise. The key is to not need anything that requires hand-to-hand combat. In other words, once they are in. If you are dead alseep, that whistle won't help at all. There are quite a few videos by other van dwellers who share multiple ways to really seal up your van for security. Window and motion alarms are great. Cameras ourside that show anyone outside the van. Things you can put on the van windows to make them shatter resistant. Etc, etc. The windows also look like light can be see around them. I may be wrong, and hoping I am. Like anything that more and more people do, so goes more and more crime, and criminals will learn how to spot the vans that are stealth.
I agree! I love it! I will probably do a similar no build. I have a futon in my house. I have a small solar setup, but want a larger one. I love your kitchen! Love, love your van life van! And no complaints is wonderful to! Namaste
wow, for having no van build. just put it in and somehow you managed to get everything in and make it stationary. and it looks nice and definately functional.
i love ikea, decorated my little apartment from lots things there. i make my little toyota yaris hatchback into a tiny camper for occasional adventures, you've given me some good tips!

What futon bed do you use with that metal frame ? I’m 5 feet and have thought of doing my bed the way you did yours. Thank you. Everything looks very nice and functional
The futon is one I had prior to van life. It is the Ikea Lycksele Lovas. I have a video on my channel on how to fit it into the van. I had to remove several pieces.
I’m planning on buying a van And it’s super refreshing seeing others with mini vans with awesome builds, definitely gives me some confidence to do this
I’m glad that this community seems to be safe for young women alone, but please be smart and safe. Have to be so aware of everyone around us these days.
One of the nicest minivan setups I've seen!! Sooooo cute!! We have a lot of the same items, the touch lights, the Honeywell fans, same type of blanket, I have white lanterns! and i almost bought that fireplace light, but moved into a new van in March with a propane fireplace. I would love to see how your curtains are hung, and how your pop-up window covers work! I'm also from BC and moved into my 1st 2000 Ford E150 Converted cargo van January 2020, just moved into a renovated 1997 Dodge Pleasureway, am now enjoying the hightop, built in sink, stove, fireplace, Pantry, and 2 closets, and Solar! Can't wait to start to really travel!
Oh wow! I would love a high top LOL. Sounds amazing! A real fireplace is most definitely better than a lantern! 😂 I am happy you like van. Enjoy your adventures! Stay safe and happy adventuring! ❤️
I have never seen a set up with the bed cross ways behind the seats ! Pretty cool, I too am short so this kind of arrangement would work for me. You have ample storage on top but a very neat uncluttered arrangement within your van. You have achieved a very neat , efficient and pleasant environment to call home inside your van. THANK YOU for sharing.
@@JanetFolkerts Thank you so much for the lovely comment! I am happy you enjoyed my van tour. I am 5’3” and the space right behind the seats is 5’6” (between the two cupholders). I do not like clutter so this layout works very well for myself. Thanks again for watching and commenting! Stay safe and happy adventuring 🙂💕
Nice build. Looks so cozy and well organized. You can also get netting to put over your tailgate when it’s open and it will give you a little outdoor area free of bugs. Thank you for sharing.
@@geminigreywolf6655 Hey! Thanks for watching and commenting. I use Ikea Lil sheer curtain panels like bug screens on my back and sides of van, they keep the bugs out and look pretty too 💕
So glad you mentioned how, by living in the van, this helped you find out what's right for you and because nothing is built-in, you can rearrange to suit. Using all but one door opening for furniture but still being able access the underside is great planning. Having an L-shaped seating area gives you options, especially on days when the weather keeps you inside. I don't think any cars in Australia have deep wells under seats, which is sad. Great layout, every nook and cranny used and exceptionally pretty. Well done..happy travels😀
If you have Chrysler/Dodge vans over there, you do have that same option. It’s from removing the seats, which ordinarily would fold down into those wells in order to give a flat cargo area.
I noticed you have a lot of pillows 💡💡I think it would be space saving idea to store your least used clothes in the pillow cases and covers 💡💡 that way you can have more book storage underneath your bed and you don't have to give up what you enjoy 🤗🤗🤗
I did mention in the video that I have sleeping bags, two puffy jackets as well as sweaters packed into the cushion covers already lol. Everything MUST have at least a dual purpose in such a small space! Thanks for watching! 🙂💕 There are no actual "pillows" in my van. I don't even sleep with one. It's a habit I picked up backpacking. Less to carry that way lol ☺️
Your van looks great! I just bought a van and I’m excited to get ready to head out. I’m also in Canada. Where did you buy your little fire lamp it’s so cute and anything that makes a small space feel homey (which I will add you’ve done beautifully), is a plus. Safe travels!
I have a link in the description of this video for the fireplace lantern. When you click on it the one you see is a different model, this rectangle model is one of the options. I adore it! The ambience in my van is amazing and I can take it out at camp to sit around LOL we are current in a fire ban.
How tall are you? I’m 5’7”. Are you less tall? I can’t imagine anyone taller than about 5’2” fitting crosswise. I love your set-up for a shorter person, though! And the nighttime lights are so cozy!
Love, love your ideas especially the way you designed your living/sleeping space! Looks like a real "room" and I can see using the shelving unit to watch a video, etc. Also like the idea of sleeping on the futon as it would seem easier to get up in the morning! Great for taking a short nap if needed as well!
I instantly subscribed when she said “I’m a libra, I need it to be aesthetically pleasing” that’s so me !!! ha ha it’s a need not a want at this point ! Great Video !
I've seen a LOT of videos with mini van build outs as I'm in the process of doing one myself.... This is one of the best! Absolutely love her organization. 💖💖 Thank you for sharing your lovely creation!
Thank you very much it really really means a lot! It took me two months to figure it out for myself and I was proud of my final result. I may not be the best at filmography but I wanted to show others that you don't need a fancy build. Live your dream! No matter what it is :)
Thank you, that means a lot to me. It was my hope to show people like myself without building skills, that van life is possible! Thank you for watching! 🙏
I just bought the screens through your link. I have never seen them before. I just got my 2012 Transit van delivered yesterday morning. It is 9 years old but only 40K miles. Looked a long time for one, they go fast when one can be found. Lots of cool ideas that appeal to me. I like the cottage look. LOL I am an ambiance light nut. Fireplace light is on my list and I to want to sleep across the back of mine. More room, I am only 5'1. I have no Ikea near me, but I am an artist and have great one of a kind cabinets I used for art supplies. The netting adds character.
Yessssss, the lighting in the front seat is SUPERB for tweezing, makeup, etc. Natural light🌞 I used to live in a Ford Freestyle(r.i.p.🚙) and that was my favorite place to get ready. Great little home you've built. Happy and safe travels🙃

Thankx for helping me to stretch my mind when it comes to van interiors. Nice work. My goal is 1.5 years (a Freudian slip would be “tears”) from now… then the van life!!! I want to go see ALL the stars. I worked at an IKEA, so I know their stuff stretches (in quality & durability) from junk to the sublime. I’ll settle for practical. Thanks for all the product references too - I’ll probably consult them all over the Christmas holidays.
I am so happy I could help in some way. Thank you for watching and the lovely comment. Good luck with your build! Van life is totally worth the tears…and years! Stay Safe!
Hello! We always enjoy meeting fellow RUclipsrs and van lifers! Organization is definitely the key to happy van living! ;-) I love your kitchen - so clean and organized! The living room/bedroom is absolutely adorable - looks so cozy and inviting! Thanks for sharing! 💙Terry and Terri
This has inspired me!! I have a 2013 Odyssey, and I have recently been discouraged by the cost of building-out Class B vans. You hit the nail on the head with that stealth toilet!! Perfect solution! My one remaining concern is keeping my space cool in the heat…🤔. Fans just won’t cut it in NC and the surrounding states in summertime. If anyone sees this and has ideas, I’d love to hear them!
Let the fans blow over a bowl of ice. Stay hydrated and use stealth toilet as needed. And remember that sweating is great for weight loss, in case that's a goal of yours... And if not, you can eat ice cream right before bed!
Love the coziness , love the fireplace and the two hanging lights .. Smart idea putting those other lights where it is and so very nicely organized and well thought-out .. Thank You for sharing your awesome creation .. STAY SAFE !!
You did a fantastic job well thought out ,you must love it all that piece and quiet away from annoying as hell people ,you should look into expandle awnings expanding your floor space outside .
Prior to moving into my van I had ordered an ARB Awning for the van through an RV service center. I had an appointment for it to be installed but then was told they couldn't install it because the mounts wouldn't fit my roof rack (factory). They were unwilling to rig something up...so the awning was sent back. I am hoping to find someone willing to install one for me.....I am unable to do these things myself due to health reasons.
@@RootlessWanderer do some research and see if there's other alternatives there appears to be many different styles like the one I mentioned if you would like it would double living space look for something with screens attachment option the bug screen covers for your windows.
I love your van setup. I would like to know what you do to access the water and stove when you are unable to get out of the van, because of weather issues or safety concerns please?
HI Kerrie! Thank you very much for watching and commenting! So, accessing my water is super simple. I just lean over my cabinet and the water bottle is right there. I can pump the water easily into my water bottle or wash basin. Now as far as cooking. I do not cook inside. Ever. I will either use a picnic table, or just the back of my van and cook on top of my fridge. I prefer to cook outdoors even in rain. snow and wind. I also now have a canopy tent I set up for an outdoor kitchen. I should also note: If I ever feel unsafe in a location I will leave immediately...and I have. If I am in a place I need to be stealthy I will simply snack or make a PB&J 🙂
This is beautiful. I love how neat, clean and organized it is. Awesome job! I see several ppl asking about certain products/items you used in your van. I’ll definitely check out how to fit the futon video. Safe travels!!!

Love mine! Great for hot days and excellent for humidifier in cold months. Definitely blackout curtains and foil covers. I did it in 20below and 95 highest so far. 8yrs of watching these vids and you have done an amazing job! Hope your safe and well! God Bless and enjoy your adventures!
Thank you so much for the idea! I had Temu reach out to me and wanted to send products to review…I had no idea who they were so I declined lol. Now I know! Lol
Thank you! I have a Town & Country van, which is a bit different than your Grand Caravan. You’ve given me some good ideas I want to try , so perhaps I’ll see you on the road!
Oh I was also wondering where you got the wooden boards you put across the seatwell in back...that is genius and I love the 'sink' setup....might try to do something similar in my van...
The wooden boards I purchased from home depot. They are called "project panels" and they're made out of pine. I did not need them cut, they fit perfectly across the seat well. The sink is working out very very well. I think I may add a usb chargeable water tap next!
Nice No Build van shared out on my community page plus nice tip about not transferring invasive species, we live in the smoky mountains and some invasive stuff killed a lot of trees in the great smoky mountains years ago (we live near Gatlinburg and the great smoky mountains so that’s home to us and I love natural and don’t like seeing it die off from invasive species) / my hubby loved your rain shields and window screens and I liked your IKEA setup / thanks and have a blessed day

I really like how you did the bed. I really don't like to have so much of the space taken up by a bed. I'm not even 5' tall, so if you can do it, I should have plenty of space too!
Great job. Everybody should have one parked in their driveway just in case of an emergency - like here in Northern California. A friend called and said they needed to evacuate and I said remember when ai suggested you get a minivan and fit it for just such occasions? I'm going to tell her to watch your video. Great example of the use of a small space and its very 'homey.' Kudos. ☺
I've watched dozens of these videos and your setup is one of the most practical, functional and CUTE! You have really helped me visualize this for myself some day. Look forward to following your experiences!
Thank you very much Karen for the lovely comment. I am having so much fun! I hope you make it out one day, and adventure in a vehicle. It really is an amazing experience !
Neat setup. I would recommend you make the window covers fit right to the edge of the glass or a little over. Check your van at night with the lights on. Walk around outside and see if there are any cracks. A perv can peek in through a small crack. You didn't say what you do to make a living. Do you have an online job?
I would say- you have many skills!! Hidden abilities that have aided you in creating your mobile home!!! Imagination, persistence & vision!!!! Great work!! Nan from Florida

How tall are you? What is the max height that someone could sleep horizontally across a minivan like this without feeling cramped?
I’m trying to figure out how u sleep widthwise
R u very short? I’ve tried to sleep in the backseat of a minivan n it was scrunchy
I’m only 5-4
This is the simpliest and neatess van build out and still have all the necessities ..so efficient and comfortable looking. Using the zipped pillow shams as storage for extra seasonal clothing is a great hiding spot out in the open. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much for watching and the lovely comment! 🙏🙂💕
that fireplace is adorable. You did such a great job setting up a cozy home. 🙂
Everything is so well thought out. You are so sweet. Love your organization for sure but what I love the most is just how lovely and serene you have made your home. Blessings to you. Safe travels 💜! Can’t wait to see your next adventure! Oh and that fireplace,...AWESOME!
Thank you so very much for the lovely comment! I certainly feel serene in my home. ☺️💕
Very smart setup with a great use of space especially the bed. It makes sense. 💙 Minimal, clean and cozy. Any thing you can bungee down is a great idea. Stay safe during your hiking adventures ✨️🙏
This is so relatable. Fasting also works for me, and yeah less work which also helps me be in a better mood.
OH my! I JUST did the pic pipe thing for the legs! That's awesome, great minds think alike! 🙂
Beautiful van "no build"! I love that little fireplace lamp and the lanterns for at night. It seems perfect and still plenty of puck lights if you need to see something more closely. You have a knack for making your space cozy and uncluttered even though it has tons of stuff. Happy hiking :)
Thank you very much, it sure is cozy to me! Thanks for watching1 :)
Really one of the best builds I’ve seen: simple, easy to do, and affordable. You’ve given great ideas. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing your van tour. I love IKEA and you have done an amazing job with space and organizing utilization. I have lived full time in a Bluebird Wanderlodge since 2016. Safe travels 🚎
Very cool! Thanks for watching! Stay Safe and happy adventuring! :)
Excellent idea how u organized the kitchen inside. What I loved was sliding out to the left and right your rubber drawer of dishes and the drawer of bags. I hadn’t seen that format. Major alpha info. Thank u
You are very welcome! Thank you so much for watching and commenting! Stay safe and happy adventuring! :)
Love your build! Organized, practical tips, and so cozy! That fireplace lamp is perfection!
Thanks! Isn't that lamp great!?! I have it on every evening. The ambiance is amazing! Feels so homey! ☺️💕
@@RootlessWanderer I love that, too!
Lovely! Yours has to be the best layout and design for a minivan that I’ve seen. Great job!
Thank you! 🙏💕
I agree! I love it! I will probably do a similar no build. I have a futon in my house. I have a small solar setup, but want a larger one. I love your kitchen! Love, love your van life van! And no complaints is wonderful to! Namaste
Add magnets to the inside cabinets!! Great setup!
I love that idea! I will start collecting them! :)
wow! what a nice mini house love it
wow, for having no van build. just put it in and somehow you managed to get everything in and make it stationary. and it looks nice and definately functional.
Thank you! Not bad for an ol' arthritic gal lol. Thanks for watching! 🙂💕
i love ikea, decorated my little apartment from lots things there. i make my little toyota yaris hatchback into a tiny camper for occasional adventures, you've given me some good tips!
Oh nice! I am happy I could help out! Happy adventuring! 🙂
I started camping in my 09 Yaris hatchback. :)
@@IlianaGuadalupe Love this! That's SO great! I've recent'y convinced a friend to stick a mattress in the back of her Jeep Patriot and now she's hooked! Leaves it set up for her weekend adventures! Stay Safe & Happy Adventuring!
Share it when your finished too
What futon bed do you use with that metal frame ? I’m 5 feet and have thought of doing my bed the way you did yours. Thank you. Everything looks very nice and functional
The futon is one I had prior to van life. It is the Ikea Lycksele Lovas. I have a video on my channel on how to fit it into the van. I had to remove several pieces.
Your practicality of the placement of things is amazing!!! ....and the cleanliness is beyond words. A true reflection of your beautiful soul. 💫
Love how you put the bed in the front! Most van videos the bed is always in the back, but the front makes a lot of sense! Great set up and video!
Thank you! Unfortunately not everyone is as short as I am LOL. At only 5'3" this was a fabulous way to optimize my living space! 🙏💕🙂
This is AWESOME. I could so live the rest of my days just like this, traveling our beautiful country ❤️🙏🇺🇸
I’m planning on buying a van And it’s super refreshing seeing others with mini vans with awesome builds, definitely gives me some confidence to do this
You got this! 💪
adorable no build van build. You are in my top 3 if not 2, mm, maybe 1 😄😉🙃
Lol well thank you very very much! I had a lot of fun putting it together 💕
I love that wherever you go you pick it up . I taught my kids this over the years they still do it
I’m glad that this community seems to be safe for young women alone, but please be smart and safe. Have to be so aware of everyone around us these days.
I love how you have decorated your home. It looks super cozy. Happy hiking ✌
Thank you very much! Stay Safe and Happy Hiking! 💕
Girl, you are a GENIUS!!
LOVE the metal cabinets - I've never seen that before! xoxo
Thanks so much! ☺️ If there's a way to add Ikea I will find it 🤣 Thanks for watching! 💖
@@RootlessWanderer ...lol! and I love the way you keep it uncluttered and feminine! Makes all the difference!
I loved, loved, loved your tour and set up. Best mini van look!!! Great job.
Thank you soooo much! I am happy you enjoyed it! 💕
The spare propane bottles may be safer in the filing cabinet; then if they leak then the gas will be contained & sheltered from flame or sparks.
OMG! You are so organized. I love how you’ve created a space for everything and have multi-functioning areas.
Love it. Another lady had built a bed behind the front seats. Glad to see the purchased items fitting so well. Really inspiring.
This is my favorite van build so far out of hundreds I've seen. Great job!!
Emoted seeing your van - I have 2 questions: what kind of van /SUV is this and how long is the futon? Thanks!
I typed emoted vs. enjoyed! Sorry.
Thank you very much for your comment! I sure did have fun with it! 💕🙂
The wells are from stow and go seats that she removed.
@@RootlessWanderer 😊 Except for that part at 21:13 😜
Your van looks great!
I am happy you like my van! It sure does feel like home! 🥰
@@RootlessWanderer okay I will check it out thank you and yes there are fires everywhere
I’ve been wondering about putting ikea in my van. Thanks for this! 🥰
I adore Ikea LOL most of the stuff I already had.

Super build, congrats! Love your lighting!!! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for putting yourself in this public forum. Your build is terrific and your responses are even better. Thank you.
😱😱❤️❤️❤️❤️ so cool …. Really well done … one of the best I’ve seen 👍
Awww thanks! I sure did have fun putting it together! It really feels like home! 🥰
Yessssss, the lighting in the front seat is SUPERB for tweezing, makeup, etc. Natural light🌞

Stay Safe!

@@RootlessWanderer You're so welcome and I enjoyed it and loved it ..Thank You ' Safe travels to you ..
This is awesome!!!! You’ve changed everything I was planning - this is so much more practical- thanks!!!!

I camped in my honda civic. No easy task. Too hard with my furbaby. Currently seeking minivan or suv. Im using you as a template. Best no build I've seen. Excellent use of space and love love love your lil fireplace. Like the magnetic spice holder someone mentioned above. I can tell you Temu has 2 head and 3 head fans USB cheap! that attach to head rests. Extremely powerful! I have 2! Helped in Florida. They also have one you can put ice in has multi lights. Love mine! Great for hot days and excellent for humidifier in cold months. Definitely blackout curtains and foil covers. I did it in 20below and 95 highest so far. 8yrs of watching these vids and you have done an amazing job! Hope your safe and well! God Bless and enjoy your adventures!

@@RootlessWanderer thanks a bunch .. Yeah I'd go with the USB from others.. they seem to with work well.

I really like how you did the bed. I really don't like to have so much of the space taken up by a bed.
I'm not even 5' tall, so if you can do it, I should have plenty of space too!
That is exactly why I moved the futon into the current position! I do not like to feel cramped lol. I am 5'3" so you will most definitely fit! 🙂
@@RootlessWanderer Ahhh I was waiting for this answer. I'm 5'10" it won't work for me. But, lots of good ideas. Thx
I apologize ahead if you’ve already said but where did you get the hanging lanterns?
Great ideas… you are a delight ! Thank you
The lanterns were purchased at Dollarama - a Canadian dollar store much like Dollar General. $2 a lantern!

Neat setup. I would recommend you make the window covers fit right to the edge of the glass or a little over. Check your van at night with the lights on.
