Wales to the Mediterranean by Motorhome: Part 4 : Metz to Morzine in the French Alps :)

After overnighting in Metz we are now covering another 300 or so miles down to Morzine, in the French Alps, where we are going to try and find a space at the free Aire De Camping in Morzine town and spend some time with our eldest daughter :)
There are two free sites in Morzine - one the Aire De Camping and the second is a large gravel car park in the centre of town.

Love Morzine been there skiing a few times. Not been in motorhome yet. keep missing it for some reason . Not a fan of the fresh hose being next to cassette empty point . Not everyone is of same morals so would give that one a miss. Roll on my next rip to the Alpes.
I'm with you on the hose mix!!! It is a beautiful part of the world - I might even consider apres ski !!

Hi guys, what camera do you use when travelling? Enjoyed watching your vlog.
Many thanks for watching Memyself and I use a GoPro Hero 10 and a GoPro Hero 8, I added a media mod to the 10 with some twin Rode mics recently and that has really helped the sound, plus a GoPro Volta battery handle which allows the 10 to last all day without a second battery :))
The drone is a DJI Mini 3 Pro :) - again a recent addition and learning!!
So all is 4K which was my base line :)
I use a 4K dash cam - a Nextbase one - but I’ve not used that footage yet in any of the films :)

The 4K dash cam is the centre item then the other two are Austrian and Slovenian toll road device holders. The little toll boxes are in the glove box for this trip but we used both on our Croatian trip last September - that series is on the channel too together with some separate films on toll road use and costs etc when we got those devices. The credit lasts up to 5 years so we’re hoping to be back !! ☀️☀️
@@motorhomingadventures perfect, thanks. I did think that might have been the case. We’re into year 3 of motorhoming after 20+ years of caravanning. Our trips are limited to 2-3 weeks currently, but at some point want to go longer and further afield when circumstances permit. Croatia is definitely on our list, so I’ll have a watch of more of your channel. Thanks

Did you encounter any problems with fuel or the authorities? We hear stories of problems but is there any truth?
Thanks for watching Rogerramjet and no, none at all. I swear it's GB trying to discourage travel!! Their roads are amazing, no difficulties getting fuel at all never been stopped by the authorities, who are always smiling, and the only thing we did this year was keep a bit further away from any of the big cities where some of the protests were. It really is a beautiful country with so much still to see :))
Not easy on the ears the transition from loud music to quiet talking poor sound😢
