i feel this was great man and how your expertise from your jazz school days, but missed the mark in expalining mixed rythms like the dotted 16ths and 8ths combos, because you didn't really explain to them, the common mixed rythms at least after the subdivisions, I think you should have at least done a couple of the most common.
      Thanks for th website

Don’t play guitar to get girls. My girl got me back into guitar. I picked up an acoustic guitar in 2015 at 15yrs old and I messed around with it a bit but was bored and I was intimidated by the electric guitar so I never switched in my teens, instead I ran into some trouble, in life, got a house arrest charge, met my girl in college and she got me to buy an electric guitar 16 months or so ago I’m playing gigs live now with my bestfriend since childhood (drummer) and he’s a better drummer than I am a guitarist but people like our music and I’m obsessive about my playing I play guitar 6+ hrs a day I have to get all that time I lost. And my drummer always tells me rehearse ideas with a metronome before we record on pro tools.

The thing I don't understand is why you have to play 16 notes when you play a 16th note. It doesn't make any sense and you didn't explain that fact of music. It's a dumb rule.
