Dude, most of the boat youtubers spend like 80% of the time with their face talking about what they are going to do. You video yourself actually doing it. Then, while we watch you do it, you describe what you are doing! YOU WIN! SO MUCH BETTER! OMG do I disfavor the channels all face and talking about stuff. You are the dude. p.s.: A little 'beasties boys' in the background never hurt anyone :)
I enjoyed this diversion from your main output. The historical context helped to clarify the need to invest and improve this fine, exciting little boat. Your plan of action was with its usual well placed logic and reflected what we have been enjoying that last few months. Your narration deserves praise as it is clear and informative, while introducing an element of restrained humour that I find most enjoyable. Thank you so much for your original and well constructed episodes. Kenneth. (GB).
Great stuff. Check whether the outboard engine gets hot. If so it´s time to change the impeller. (Often neglected maintenance and worthwhile job when buying second hand outboards)
I admire the exactness of your work! Myself I'm in an ongoing refit on my boat, a 1989' Bayliner 2556 Fly. Here I allow myself a slight "fuzzyness", for ex. with sawing boards or so, but use concealings to make the things even or plain optically. This is because I'm focused in getting my works done but not consuming too much time for it. But in the meanwhile I learned to be more exactly by your example. So its also a good teaching, I get from your doings. 👍🏼
I want to cry of happens when I see that there are no rusted bolts and no damage from sea salt on old installations... We, who have to deal with it, know the struggle... Salut to WD-40. P.S. Great, great job, and great music cover in videos!
Nice work on your boat. The changes you've made should enable you to enjoy it more. Hopefully, you can find a decent-priced cover for it so that it stays nicer longer too. As far as buying another boat before finishing the big one, that's your choice of how to spend your time and efforts and it makes perfect sense to have a smaller project boat to give you a break from the bigger one. Good luck with whatever you select to do next.
I'll tell you what I think of it....I loveeee it godamn !!!! As a long term sub I've just got back from renting a decent boat up at york in the UK today. ..even the wife has probably accepted that my next car project will be a boat .....you do not help !
Yes you do need a break from the Big Blue the refit is quite intense over time. All the Floaters you have had have been vastly different from each other so technically they are all first Boats. What a great bit of kit and as you say for not a lot ya have a fast mover. Great job on it,s first refit what a hoot. I don,t think you would have got a cheaper boat if ya tried. All you doom sayers and moaners go get ya own boat or bugger off go annoy some one else. Outstanding and excellent Carry on. Cheers Nick
I think your new dashboard is a good design but please paint it the original lovely blue colour. Clear finished plywood is still plywood, Also, just to protect your passengers in the back seat, cover the wire supports with rubber tubing.
You need smaller boat to get to shore to do other projects and get food. You know the local market of them . So sell off the one you had before and for little time and money get a better in the end boat . I think you done very good .
A fisherman? Not hardly. This RUclipsrs gets to test his boat. The wake was small. And the "fishmerman" is just throwing tortured catch and release fish back while avoiding time at home. Don´t worry so much about who owns the water. There are plenty of truly bad seeds; let the good ones grow greg vrooman.
Amazing work. Only thing, please change the throttle over to the correct side!!!! It will look so much better and you will be able to rev the engine while it’s not in gear to get that two stroke running easier.
love how you said when you installed the throttle and said its a reminder of your lack of knowledge lol since you can switch the lever to the other side
Always adding boats to your fleet are you sure you are not a Star Citizen?? lol :) always great to watch your channel always interesting and new content! Stay safe and keep rolling!! 👍👍
It definitely has DDR looks but it cuts through the water beautifully with very little wake. Why did you want the steering position on the starboard side?
I enjoy your enthusiasm, but the wood dash was more work than needed. Some fiberglass cloth and resin would have worked fine to fill the hole on the port side then cover the new helm on the starboard side.
HEIDEWITZKA! What a fun runabout. So the takeaway is sometimes one needs a fun little project to help charge the power for the big never-ending-ones? Let me get a pen, I need to start taking notes.
Have you given any thought to designing it like the narrow boats of the UK!! You could very quickly cut a hole down the center leaving at least a foot on each side to walk the gunnels, thus giving you approx 4 meters by12 meters to build as you want!!
Hi, how can you insure a boat whose manufacturer's plate gives 9 kW and make it run with a 30 HP? Is this possible in Germany? Thanks for editing your videos, it’s a real pleasure to watch them.
Maybe try to find or make a cabriolet hood that can be converted to a bimini top. That way you can close it off and cruise while being protected from sun burn by the bikini.
You need a much larger container or better still a set of 'muffs' hooked to a hose to run the motor. If you put it in gear for an instant it throws the water out of your small container and sucks in air. Presto impeller ruined. Did you notice that your tell tale water stream was lacking?
This had me thinking.. You could get a jet ski and fabricate a power hoist on the back or side of your ship to raise and hang the jet ski up out of the water as you travel around in your ship or houseboat. The jetski would serve as your land fairying dingy
Any plans to add any of the following items: engine gages - speed, rpm, oil pressure, other; depth gage; compass/GPS; fish finder; USB connections for music/charging/other; portable float capability search light?
Before the winter, you had like 5 boats. Then only the trawler, the barge and now the floating trabant. Your second fleet is born.
Awesome, you have an ability to transform the most unlikely boats into solid and functional watercraft. Well done.

Love your channel ! and you unpretencious, down-to-earth..., let's-get-it-done kind of attitude. Keep on it man!
As long as you restore boats i will watch you no matter what boat.
Great content, your filming as well as your commentary are excellent, keep them coming.
Great stuff. Check whether the outboard engine gets hot. If so it´s time to change the impeller. (Often neglected maintenance and worthwhile job when buying second hand outboards)
Agree. I could not see the motor pee.
Totally agreed..!

Nice work. 👍
One thing though, please, for peace of mind, bolt your engine to the transom.
- Those clamps have a history of working them selves loose.
Just marathoned your channel I’ve the past 5 days and sadly have come to the present. Needless to say, love the channel/hate that I now have to wait.
I love that they use the windshield from a car. Brilliant.
What better music to start a motor boat video than 'Ride of the Valkyries'? Awesome content
Wow! I must say that you have a lot of energy and know-how, nothing can stop you, lovely to follow your projects. Have a nice summer. 👋🌞
Much of the work I see u doing is of exceptional quality in my opinion.
I want to cry of happens when I see that there are no rusted bolts and no damage from sea salt on old installations...
We, who have to deal with it, know the struggle...
Salut to WD-40.
P.S. Great, great job, and great music cover in videos!
I can't get enough of ur channel, just really appreciate the work u do on limited $, thanks for sharing 😁🇦🇺🌈
Good to see you have put the steering wheel on the RIGHT side
My first 20 boats, those last 2 switches could be marked "turbo boost" and "launch torpedoes"
Don,t you mean EJECT.
@@Sluf7 EJECT, EXPLODE, SELF DESTRUCT, PARTY loads of options. He can, of course, install many many buttons with many different actions.

Lovely little project boat. Well built and with a canopy even an overnight camping trip! Have fun ☺☺❤
That`s a sweet looking little runabout. Be great to see the full re-fit later in the year.
Hope you're still alive and well bro, miss u :')
been here sience day 1 love the series man, keep up the great content!
Looks great. I love it. Nice little project.
I'll tell you what I think of it....I loveeee it godamn !!!! As a long term sub I've just got back from renting a decent boat up at york in the UK today. ..even the wife has probably accepted that my next car project will be a boat .....you do not help !

Just a tip dude is to move the bilge to the lowest point in the vessel which is next too the transom. Cheers !
Cant wait to see the work that has been done on the barge or big boat since last post
I enjoy your videos and also the manner in how you go about things.
That's a cool little boat, I would like to see the windshield clips utilized for a weather cover for rainy days.
I think your new dashboard is a good design but please paint it the original lovely blue colour. Clear finished plywood is still plywood, Also, just to protect your passengers in the back seat, cover the wire supports with rubber tubing.
I like your workmanship.
Ella is a delightful boat, may she give you many happy hours of service.
You need smaller boat to get to shore to do other projects and get food. You know the local market of them . So sell off the one you had before and for little time and money get a better in the end boat . I think you done very good .
We’re going to have to call you Admiral of the fleet
THE TRABANT WAS BEAUTIFUL!
I think your motor needs an impeller. I did not see the little stream of water which tells you the impeller is working.
Looks like lots of fun while using minimal fuel. And with that keel it is probably pretty stable for its size.. That is a very nice little boat.
What a great little boat, nice job.
I do so enjoy sharing your fantasies.
Great job. love all your projects. Lot a work but lot a fun too !
You start as many projects as you like and we will enjoy
Good job. Love that little boat.
What a little beauty. Well done. Inspirational
Cool Little Boat Like Your Blogs AJ East,Texas USA
That was a very correct explanation for your diverse nature. Seen how you blasted by that old fisherman. Have Some Respect.
The motor is not cooling right, you need to replace the impeller.

you have done well with this boat 🇬🇧
Great job brother and the best part is your on the water cheers 🥂
I sure like your videos! And am hoping for another soon. :-)
Always adding boats to your fleet are you sure you are not a Star Citizen?? lol :) always great to watch your channel always interesting and new content! Stay safe and keep rolling!! 👍👍
You are soo crazy and your videos are soo great fun! I wonder what kind of weird floating “something” you will have found for the next time… Luv it!
Please service the lower end and replace the water pump impeller. Awesome project.
Cool little old boat
It definitely has DDR looks but it cuts through the water beautifully with very little wake. Why did you want the steering position on the starboard side?
Yes that wake is a sign of a really good hull design.
Love the projects and videos. Awesome
Just a thought, instead of carving the indentations, try a countersinker! Love your projects.
I like it. Nice little refit.
It looks like a lot of fun!
superb little boat
You Sir, are a genius, love ya work
Nice little boat. I was wondering if we would see your old platform in the end of the video.
Ostology! I love to learn anything I can about the DDR and the Grenzers
I enjoy your enthusiasm, but the wood dash was more work than needed. Some fiberglass cloth and resin would have worked fine to fill the hole on the port side then cover the new helm on the starboard side.
well, you move the wheel to the wrong side :) fun little boat though..
Take some heat shrink tube and put it over the ends of those steel cables for the backrest.
HEIDEWITZKA! What a fun runabout. So the takeaway is sometimes one needs a fun little project to help charge the power for the big never-ending-ones? Let me get a pen, I need to start taking notes.
Nice quick job!
Very nice. Looks Great!
Have you given any thought to designing it like the narrow boats of the UK!! You could very quickly cut a hole down the center leaving at least a foot on each side to walk the gunnels, thus giving you approx 4 meters by12 meters to build as you want!!
This series should be titled “My first FLEET”
How have you acquired all of these different skills? Truly impressive.
You are into old boats. Nice. Are you sure, that the impeller of the 30hp Mariner is working correctly? I coulden´t see a control ray in the video.
The cables for the seat back. Shrink tubing will clean that nasty safety hazard up.
I was comming to make the same suggestion. Just be sure to get some rated for outdoors.
shes a wee beauty and deserves her refit 👊
Hi, how can you insure a boat whose manufacturer's plate gives 9 kW and make it run with a 30 HP? Is this possible in Germany? Thanks for editing your videos, it’s a real pleasure to watch them.
The wheel is supposed to be on the left side for this boat. There was no need to butcher it up like that.
Finally another boat!
Boat lacquer will not last against fiberglass it will rot later on..been there done that more then once! Nice work!
cool little boat!
This had me thinking.. You could get a jet ski and fabricate a power hoist on the back or side of your ship to raise and hang the jet ski up out of the water as you travel around in your ship or houseboat. The jetski would serve as your land fairying dingy
I like the little stickers you used to label the switches, where did you get them from? Looking forward to more videos from you 👍
Very cool boat.
Add heat shrink to those cables to stop snagging and poking
You need to rename the channel to "My first twenty boats"
Your fifth (sixth? seventh?) boat seems solid. :)
Many projects at the same time, the big boat, pontoon, speedboat, how do you do that, and we’re are the others boats now?
Hallo Berlin. Cooles bod grüsse aus 🇩🇰
Dude, you rock!
Traboat? Cool!
Water skiing next?
What happened to that cool little red speedboat?
Any plans to add any of the following items: engine gages - speed, rpm, oil pressure, other; depth gage; compass/GPS; fish finder; USB connections for music/charging/other; portable float capability search light?
Looks like a really nice little hull. goes fast enough. Will she fit on the steel hulled boat with no name?
