I’m 62 and Linda Ronstadt was my first live concert at UCI 1976 I believe. What a privilege. She was so great. I was hooked on live music ever since. I’ve been to thousands of wonderful concerts. Just a great memory ❤
Not to be morbid, but I’ve told my kids this is the song I want sung at my funeral. For me, it captures the purity of Linda’s voice more than any other. My favorite song by my favorite singer.
A great choice… this girl has a lovely voice but not Lindas perfect and less ornate phrasing and just enough vibrato…. Such a perfect song by Gary White about unfulfilled longing

She was at her Illustrative career climax at this performance that will never be covered within any reach. Beauty of song at it's very best, this recording is. Actually the tempo changed at :44. Really slowed down. Guitarist should be setting and keeping the tempo instead of following her but great vocal performance

Wow..... So very good. I was young in the 70s growing up in Mass. and I loved the song then, but this version has brought back memories and I love it even more now. So impressive

Just experienced this beautiful talent for the first time last night at her beach concert. Was unaware of her until now. Did not watch idol so she was a brand new discovery for me. A blown away by her mega voice! Just perfect in every way. She captures the great Linda’s power, range and even the soprano notes. Finally someone who actually does deserved justice to Ronstadt.
I can’t tell you how happy I am that I found y’all especially Tristan’s voice I can’t put it in too words quite yet I hope to see one of the shows very soon

She's from Nashville, I'm sure she's down there often when the LRE isn't touring (they do tour a lot). Keep an eye out for them and for her (Tristan McIntosh) for sure!
Kristen should be playing Linda as a young artist in the planned biopic which has Selena Gomez tapped for the Ronstadt role. She looks like her and sings like her....what more is necessary.
Have just relistened to this cover. She indeed has a great voice and does very well. So my only suggestion: a slightly faster tempo. It drags a bit. I timed her at 80 and LR at 92. A metronome would sort this out. That aside, a great cover, a great song.
These videos are excellent, but the acoustics and recording doesn't always pick up the sound as good as it should. This is often an issue on concerts in various settings - so nice to have ideal conditions. The classic Linda, too, fought these issues at an earlier time when conditions would be extreme 000 - even on TV in those days they just didn't have PROPER EQUIPMENT for bands and singers and, like Linda said "They make you and your band sound like little ants" - they would bring their own equipment to make presentations better.

Isnt that what Linda did? Her biggest hits were remakes of other's successful hits. Her original tunes did not fare so well. This girl makes no claim other than being in "tribute band" like many others out there. Linda was greatly talented and her recordings live on and on. This girl is also talented. Let her do what she wants with her talent.
