    Excellent! Tried it tonite. The lemon was a great GREAT addition. It made the dish so good! Thank you very much for sharing your expertise!
    2 green chillies were enough for us. Also the moong dal did not lose its skin even after 3 hours in warm water with baking soda. Perhaps have to soak it overnite.
    For me the bottom of the pan got the milk to burn at the bottom, luckily by then the dish was all finished,

    Generally when you cook dry vegetables or chicken you use a combination or cumin seeds, mustard seeds. Depending on recipes you use hing and dry spices. Hing is generally used in lentil preparations and achars..

    I have tried this at home for my last guests... Moong daal was never so rocking, throughout my childhood I avoided it, but it turned out sooo good..EYE Opener recipe :D
    I am a BIG fan of yours .. I watch your videos always before some guests come to my home, your cooking is wonderful but also your recipe telling style is very good ...has a personal touch.. Namak Shamak !!! :D ...

      I have tried it. The recipe comes out awesome. I did not add milk but did add lemon in the end. We had it with jowar bhakri.

    Sat sri akal sir.. I like ur recipe's. Please solve my problem of how to use various masala like cumin seed, mustard seed, coriander powder, Heeng.. In which recipe we put dis or in which not?? How it improve the taste.. I dnt knw its better use..

    Very nice recipe but I have a query agar instant dal bnani hai toh kya karu because you mentioned in the starting that we have to soak the dal for 3 - 4 hours

      Instant banani ho to thoda boil kareen pehley till the dal becomes soft and the grains are still intact..
