- Kyle's van is back! This time the Garage Garage duo of Danger Dan and Kyle swap spots - with Kyle laying down down welds and wrenching on his daily driver Astro surf van. Today's agenda: getting rid of a beat up old rear bumper, and replacing it with some steel bars - and laser cut awesomeness.

You all are the older yet, more successful versions of me and my homeboys. same humor, and love of cars.. its just dope to see similar things to what i do regularly only at a bigger scale, and the fact that i know i can accomplish whatever it is that i put my mind to, and i do what i need to, in order to make it happen then i can eventually be just as successful. keep it up, and appreciate everything. life is way to short to spend valuable energy on the less important. (just a little bit of, un-needed advice im sure you'e already figured out ) thats just how i live happy no matter whats going on.
repaint the roof gloss white, maybe with a ghosted in graphic. Roof rack for sure. Watching someone learn teaches us at the same time. Keep Killin It!

I grew up in a blue Astro van. My dad and I had many toad trips up and down the East coast, racing motorcycles! Best memories ever! I really dig the van. You should let the guy who painted HHIC's old Cossie paint it up. Just let him go to town!!

Favorite build on this channel. It's about a vehicle i would have never consider interesting, instead it's the most different, interesting and somewhat sensible. Go Kyle
I think it's great and so underrated how supportive everyone is in the shop when someone else learns something new, like at 9:00 when Vinny sees Kyle welding.

I definitely want to see more of the van, I'm currently restoring an 86 Astro Shorty, from Southgate Ca, so once it's done i'll drop by the donut yard and do some sitters !
Getting close to finishing my own astro build. Put some turns on the torsion bars up front and you van correct some of that rake and get some extra lift. I dont suggest maxing it out. Did a ton of the work myself and some with the help of Mike over at Journey's. Lemme know if you need some info!

Leaf sprung SAS astro would be sweet. Cut the top off and add a pop top as well for headroom when your camping. 12v water systems are pretty easy to set up now (you probably would like to wash the salt off after surfing sometimes right?). There is so many projects you can do with this thing man!

Bro, my uncle has an astro like this and we’ve been looking for an AWD for the outdoorsy recreational-ish in the PNW. It’s dope seeing you put yours together! I’d say a mean roof rack with a side ladder connected to the back bumper for cargo, and big lights or light bar on top up front, maybe some fog lights, would be dope! Also a camping set up for the interior to rest after a long hike, mountain biking or surf day lol. A decent low drone exhaust that sounded like a V8 would be nice too. Just throwing ideas to see what sticks lmfao.
