Two guinea pigs. They had a litter of three (healthy), then daddy pig got mommy pig AND daughter pig pregnant, for 2 additional litters. One litter had 4 stillborns and one survivor (named Lucky, of course). Other litter was 4 little piglets. So within 6 months we went from 2 to 10 pigs. Four were given away; of the rest, they all died within 2 years, leaving the final pig - Lucky - to live on alone for another three years. It was a good experience but we didn’t do free-range or carpeted cages (yuck) - instead wood chips which had to be cleaned out weekly.

I have 3 piggies in my laundry area and we I open the fridge they automatically think its for them also: last night I had a nightmare that I stepped on my guinea pig and his face was flat and I woke up and had to hug the all before I went to sleep
The free roam expectation is the reality with bunnies. My bunnies are always sitting on my shoulder, walking on my laptop, jumping against my legs, running circles around me etc... they even lick me like a dog 😂
I miss my 4 piggies. They were so human, it was crazy. They could distinguish colors, would speak with me, they would follow me and be patient when I cut veggies and fruit for them. When Iwas gone for long and returned, they'd greet me with the loudest "I'M SO HAPPY YOU'RE BAAAACK" squeak. And of course, they were the _b e s t_ snuggle partners. I loved having them in my life. But watching them all pass away so tragically just made me decide not to have a piggie ever again. I can't take this pain anymore.

I was surprised that they have such unique personalities! I got them because I wanted a pet for the apartment but didn't have time or space for a dog or cat, and thought they would be mostly easy to take care of and feed and didn't expect much more - but they are not only so much fun to watch and interact with, they have such unique personalities and you get so attached to them because no two guinea pigs are quite the same!

I even named my puppy after one of your guinea pigs! (Lumi). And I just want to say keep going and never give up, Your channel is so useful and helpful and entertaining to watch. I’m looking forward to seeing what you post next! Have a nice day!
If I get up for the restroom in the middle of the night I have to be extra quiet... If they hear me moving around they think it's breakfast time and start screaming and zooming around. Doesn't matter if it's 1am. My footsteps mean breakfast. Sigh.
I'm doing my best for my first time taking care of guinea pigs. I treat them as my children (though I don't have any 😂) They're easily startled, but so far they are getting use to some of the noises produced by my movements, and they've started liking me too by liking and smelling my hand. They're definitely hard to take care but it's definitely worth it!
Haha, this is so accurate. I can relate to all of these realities, especially the 2:56 AM cam and cleaning reality! My two guinea pigs' cage is in my bedroom and I have resorted to wearing ear plugs to muffle the sound of the water bottle at all hours of the night. And, although I tidy their cage several times a day, it seems as soon as I am finished they once again have poop and hay all over the place (which is exactly why I tidy it up several times a day!) But I wouldn't trade my little cuties for anything because I love them. :)
Everything you captured in this video was perfect. They wake me up randomly throughout the night and I can’t keep them in one area when I let them roam. In fact, one of my piggies refuses to share a living space with the others. Nonetheless, I love them very much. Great content! ✨
Thank you for this! I watch guineapigs on youtube and see all these lovely clean cages - and I'm spot cleaning sometimes three times a day and it's poop everywhere! It's nice to see that I'm not the only one struggling with it! Also nice to see nose bops and stealing food too. My two (soon to be three) have to eat that one bit of hay the other one has even though there is a full hay rack, so they'll start snatching it.
Omg 😱 I love this! To all guinea pig owners this really speaks the truth. Especially right after you clean the cage though. Your just like I did a wonderful job, few minutes laters...........
I have had my piggies for the past five years and I’ve always been worried about whether stuff has been normal. Turns out it has been!!! ☺️😇 thanks for this video!!
3:19 is exactly why I switched from a bottle to a water dish (that & they kept leaking) - if you can find one with a lip that curves inwards & a wide enough base it’s basically tip proof 😎
HAHAHA! I'm so glad you showed this! I've watched several of your videos and was frankly, a little annoyed trying to figure out how your cage is so clean! And when your piggies were making noise, I looked over to see a few of mine looking at me. 😁 Thank you for showing reality.
I took care of my niece and nephews piggies for a week. Quite the experience. Took a couple days for them to open up to me but once they knew I was the hooman feeding them the wheeks wouldn’t stop 😆. Definitely would do it again, or get 2 of my own 🙂
I loved my guinea pig wheeking int he morning. When I was going to bed however I’d have to creep. The littlest bit of noise and the fog horn started 😂😂😂 Hearing them from another room when you open the fridge is another thing I love about them. If they lived for longer or just never passed I’d have them all but I can’t do the heartbreak 🥲
thank you for showing how their poops can cover 80% of the surface. i get insecure cos i think my babies poop too much cos like they scatter everywhere
Hey you, love your enclosure! but I'd like to recommend offering them a water bowl as well because those bottles cause quite a problem: they have to push against this kind of metal ball with their teeth in order to get water - this will actually cause serious damage to the teeth as the constant pushing hurts them and causes them to break easier or even loosen in the long term. This is a problem because even without this happening, a lot of now bred guinea pigs suffer from teeth problems in their life. And don't forget that even if it might not seem like that, guinea pigs need lots of pain until they show they're not alright, so better not let it get this far and offer them a water bowl right now so that they can slowly learn to switch
I can just imagine them constantly stepping on guinea pig poop which would be all over the place. That and their constantly gnawing on the wood furniture
I have again to guinea pigs I clean their cage everyday they have two houses and I'd like to poop in their houses where they sleep is there anything I can do

They are still great of course. As far as rodent pets go they get bronze rank after rats and rabbits.
Rabbits aren't rodents
I have 3 piggies in my laundry area and we I open the fridge they automatically think its for them
also: last night I had a nightmare that I stepped on my guinea pig and his face was flat and I woke up and had to hug the all before I went to sleep
What a nice dream......
Awwww
I would react the same way!
@@DailyGamesRadar yeah that flat face was extremely cute, with all the blood and all :D
Uncle Sam thats sadists have u tried going to the mental hospital thats right
The 3am wake up calls...🤣🤣🤣 My son just told me he has a crazy Guinea Pig alarm clock. 🤣🤣
The free roam expectation is the reality with bunnies. My bunnies are always sitting on my shoulder, walking on my laptop, jumping against my legs, running circles around me etc... they even lick me like a dog 😂
So they like walking around and instead of being in a cage
I miss my 4 piggies. They were so human, it was crazy. They could distinguish colors, would speak with me, they would follow me and be patient when I cut veggies and fruit for them. When Iwas gone for long and returned, they'd greet me with the loudest "I'M SO HAPPY YOU'RE BAAAACK" squeak. And of course, they were the _b e s t_ snuggle partners. I loved having them in my life. But watching them all pass away so tragically just made me decide not to have a piggie ever again. I can't take this pain anymore.
The first night I had my guinea pigs I thought they were escaping!

Sylvester: i am just as shocked as you are
Lol
My guinea pig while I’m watching this: WHEEEEK WHEEEEK
it’s cuy cuy not wheek wheek
Wait your guinea PIG so you have only one??????
Captain YEE is that a problem ?
@@youtubehere6604 yes yes yes it definitely is its animal cruelty and in most countries illegal
Captain YEE i meant i have only one guinea pig should i get him a friend
Oh my god 😂 yes, everything absolutely, especially waking us up with squeaks. But I love it really, and I miss it when things are quiet.
I used to love shopping delivery day!!! The Guinea pigs knew what day it was too. They would here the rattling of the carrier bags being brought up by the delivery guy. They could smell the pack of hay. They knew exactly which bags had the veggies fruit and salad in ....it was always a race between them and us...but we loved it .
Love the way you allow them to roam around the house , our 2 do the same and it's great .
Whenever i put my guinea pig on the floor so he can walk around. He just sits in freeze until i put him in hid cage😂😭
Same lol
He needs more human interaction then
It means he is scared of you
I also noticed u said Guinea pig [like you have just one]
Guinea pigs get very lonely on there own and either need a friend or constant attention from another human
@@lilymae5662 Yeah i know but it was 4 months ago... We have been training and stuff with him, so he isnt scared of me anymore:)

does he have a friend? He could be bored without one lol
They're like accordions.
The "If i sit under the table for long enough, someone will have to feed me" part is so accurate lmaoo
I feed my guinea pigs a variety of different veggies everyday. Fresh day and grass always available.
My guinea pigs:
“I chew toilet papers”
How do they get into the washroom? You let them in or eyes know how to open a door
@Levi Ackerman
No, they have a separate room to themselves. Sometimes I use toilet paper to wipe their puddles of pee, but as soon as they see the toilet paper they come running. I seriously don’t know why XD

I thought my guinea pigs were the only ones who “ remodeled “ there cage!🤣
One of mine outsmarted me so he doesn't to even move anymore. He pulled his house and food bowl over next to the water bottle so he doesn't have to move to go anywhere
Nope me too I clean the cage... put the hideys in position.. two seconds later on of the houses is flipped over and the other has been nudged to the corner on their cage

Guinea Pig Behavior
Expectation: "Let's be BFF!"

They run around at night and squeak. But I’ve gotten used to falling asleep with their loudness haha 😂. They are SO worth it :)

Hey Little Adventures, So about yesterday my guinea pig had passed away.
And I just wanna say that I love your channel and it helped me and my guinea pig! I even named my puppy after one of your guinea pigs! (Lumi). And I just want to say keep going and never give up, Your channel is so useful and helpful and entertaining to watch. I’m looking forward to seeing what you post next! Have a nice day!
❤️❤️❤️
If I get up for the restroom in the middle of the night I have to be extra quiet... If they hear me moving around they think it's breakfast time and start screaming and zooming around. Doesn't matter if it's 1am. My footsteps mean breakfast. Sigh.
😂😂😂
Maybe inching on the floor might help?
So it's like having a baby
I'm doing my best for my first time taking care of guinea pigs. I treat them as my children (though I don't have any 😂)
They're easily startled, but so far they are getting use to some of the noises produced by my movements, and they've started liking me too by liking and smelling my hand.
They're definitely hard to take care but it's definitely worth it!
Some one: “ so how many piece like should I give my guinea pigs per day?”
Nugget: 10.
More like unlimited 😂
THE HAY PART IS SO TRUE! I’ll literally be sitting there struggling to pull out the hay and only end up pulling it off in small chunks 😭😭
That cushion remaining vertical juuuust long enough to make you really "appreciate" the peestains before it slooooowly keeled over was comedy gold
I love how nugget and gaspy are just sitting on the floor eating veggies while your in bed 😂😂😂
I have guinea pigs too I have two and a big cage for them
This video helped me feel a bit better :)
My guinea pig just passed away on October 18th.
She will be missed, I loved her very much.
Sorry for your loss
Theres always that one guinea pig in cages that steals the hiding spots ✨
Omg 😱 I love this! To all guinea pig owners this really speaks the truth. Especially right after you clean the cage though. Your just like I did a wonderful job, few minutes laters...........
4:50 Nugget was like:
*SNATCHED*
The little 2 cuties roaming around at the floor is so adorable, ur piggies are so loveable even if reality can be different sometimes :)
Expectations: asthectic nice piggys
Reality: poops and pees everywhere and demands for food as soon as they come across u

My guinea pigs found my fridge-
Your on your own pal my guinea pig just ate my entire fridge 😔✌️
Love you and you're pigs,
I have 2 1 called Bubble and the other is called squeak.
Could you please recommend a outdoor cage
My girls are Bubbles and Barbara. Bubbles is so chubby.
I have two one called Karamala and one koke
This was soooo dog on funny!!!! Reality never seems to fall in line with our expectations!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love the “2:56 AM cam”, how you cut the footage and the angles you used. It portrays the random night noises of the piggies really well.
HAHAHA! I'm so glad you showed this! I've watched several of your videos and was frankly, a little annoyed trying to figure out how your cage is so clean! And when your piggies were making noise, I looked over to see a few of mine looking at me. 😁 Thank you for showing reality.
The alarm part is so true I always end up oversleeping and wake up to the sound of my guineas pigs telling me it is food time
2:54 My guineapuggies started screaming when they heard a voice😂
I took care of my niece and nephews piggies for a week. Quite the experience. Took a couple days for them to open up to me but once they knew I was the hooman feeding them the wheeks wouldn’t stop 😆. Definitely would do it again, or get 2 of my own 🙂
For the water bottle tapping, a dot of velcro will do wonders :) ❣ these critters look so happy and well loved.
I related to the waking up one on a spiritual level with my piggies 😂
There so cute I let my piggies free roam and one of them hid but we found him he was sleeping under a suitcase 😂
I'm from Finland and here Lumi means snow XD
lumi ,sounds like good
Ots o I am from Russia
I’m from Greece, Lumi doesn’t really mean anything, but in Greek letters it’s Λούμι!
So cute
Yeah that's probably her naming scheme. She looks like snow. Either an odd coincidence, or she just named her like that on purpose
I love the piggies, but that's why I"m glad I have fish!
I loved my guinea pig wheeking int he morning. When I was going to bed however I’d have to creep. The littlest bit of noise and the fog horn started 😂😂😂
Hearing them from another room when you open the fridge is another thing I love about them. If they lived for longer or just never passed I’d have them all but I can’t do the heartbreak 🥲

Hi little kingdom lol
We have three guinea pigs and.. This video is so true. What's even worse they love to bite rungs of their cage. :D
Love all things, the hay is so accurate I've gotten so many hay slivers I wear rubber gloves now to grab it all 🤣
thank you for showing how their poops can cover 80% of the surface. i get insecure cos i think my babies poop too much cos like they scatter everywhere
I can relate to this so much! I have six guinea Pigs at home. Great and funny video!!
Beyond accurate, the hay feeding is very relatable my gosh.
I can just imagine them constantly stepping on guinea pig poop which would be all over the place. That and their constantly gnawing on the wood furniture
I have two male guinea pigs that likes to poop in their hey is there anything I could do to stop them from doing that
I have again to guinea pigs I clean their cage everyday they have two houses and I'd like to poop in their houses where they sleep is there anything I can do
This had me laughing because it's so true 😂 but we love them anyway
