This line of thinking of knowing why you're wearing certain items at specific times is so important. Oftentimes I feel like it's the last thing people think about, as you're rushing to put on a pair of pants or shoes, but without even thinking about it you've just dictated the whole purpose of the outfit! I really like the categories here too, they solidify the reasoning behind wanting to (motivation) and being able to (practicality) wear what you have in your closet. Most of the times I look like a homeless dude because I feel like it doesn't worth to look good when I'm not with friends or family. And most of the time I'm not with friends or family so I use the same old clothes all the time, and it feels like I don't deserve to wear those good shirts and jeans.
