For me it was beating The Cave of Trials in Steamworld Dig 2. That cave ends up teaching you so much more about the physics of the game and how you can move the character and at the point that you reach it you have already technically beaten the game. It's such a masterpiece of a final challenge. For me it was obstacle after obstacle that I didn't think was possible to overcome. Then you play around with the movement and realize you can do so much more than you thought you could. It's incredible. A runner-up for me would be a lot of bite-size challenges in Slime-San, the best arcade platformer ever made.
This has got to be the most frustrating level in the game.

It is the most beautiful challenge I think I've ever overcome in gaming. To get through it you literally have to learn ways to move the character that you probably didn't realize were possible until that point.

2:35 this is where I'm stuck at. I stopped playing because of this one obstacle lol. I just turned it on again after months of not playing and I still can't fucking make this one jump 🤦🏾♂️
Same here! Did you ever figure out how to do what they did there? They got it on the second try which tells me I’m maybe missing a technique. It even looks like they are sliding UP the wall a little bit when they land against it!
@@slant675 I'm not sure how to explain it but the idea is to keep the momentum when you run and jump wall to wall. It took me forever but once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy. When you run, just slightly tap the jump button and as soon as you touch the wall slightly tap the jump button again, aiming towards the direction you want to go in, when you produce a higher jump off the wall then you're doing it right. Just play with the run and jump technique off of a wall until you produce a higher jump to get a feel for it.

I had my TV on Standard mode instead of Game. I probably tried 50+ times and almost quit twice. The 4th try after setting it to Game mode and getting higher FPS, I did it. Not only once but twice since I didn't make the jump after the double momentum jump lol. Check your FPS if it's not high enough you might be unable to get the timing right because of it.

How do you do the jump at 2:34 ? After the cut how did you managed to jump so high ?
OldrickTheOnlyOne i just managed to do it, it's really just about good timing. I jump off full speed a few framesadter the torch and as soon as you hit the wall turn left and yeah you know.... try it a few times, it will work
This area is so dumb. They don't even keep track of your progress once you've cleared an area. If you die, you start all over, and there's no way I'm doing that platforming level again.
They shouldn't have wasted time with this and made a proper endgame instead.
I do exactly that and my jumps are almost ALWAYS short jumps. Hot the fuckdid you get it to jump so high? F this. I'm stuck in here and my portal won't send me back. If you're going to make an area like this and have it save you friggin progress and give you the option to leave. Ugh.
@@Kharnellius try to press jump again the moment you land, or shortly before
run off the ledge and hit jump as you will impact the single block then immediately turn around and prepare to wall jump.
Those Vectron areas scare the shit out of me with those terminator bots lol

Level 3 Jetpack is the only thing i didn't buy in the game and now i've excavated all loot from all mines and i can't get the money to buy it so i can't reach the trial place? Shouldn't have bought those cogs...
You have to return back in the strange mines where are all the slugs... and keep killing those slugs to obtain some big heart stone.
You can do it. Go to the Yarrow cave called Leaky Lodge, at the entrance there's a snail there that you can farm for blood stones and money. Make sure you have the cogs which increase your chances of getting a blood stone and also net a cash prize upon killing with a pickaxe and then go there and farm.

that dungeon is not open for me... every thing on the map has check marks... i dont know what to do next
You need to colect all the artifacts.
There are artifacts in the overworld on top of the ones in places with check marks, so you're missing some of those
yes yess... i started cleaning every block in all of worlds to find hidden areas ez :D now if i have had no jet i could not get to top without self destruct :D
George Chiqovani there is a blueprint you get for all 42 artifacts once that is gotten and turned on it will be open to you.

It's on the yarrow, second branch that goes right (starting from the top), above the water zone. If you can't find it now, I can try to explain better haha

Yes, it's on the first zone you start mining (When that old robot tell you that you can't go mining without a lantern) at the bottom left, it's a block that you can break.

How does something that isnt required ruin a game?
Once you get in, it won't let you leave, unless you start your game over.
@@Kharnellius not true, (at least on switch) your last checkpoint is outside the cave.
