These games are works of art. Some of these games are what I would show someone who’s never played a game to show how far the medium has come. They can tell beautiful, wonderful and sometimes sad stories they we can all relate to as human beings. For instance I’m at the end of of Spiritfarer and I’m not ready for it to end. I have a good idea of how it ends and I know it’ll break me down emotionally. These kinds of games are good for the soul.
I admit these are beautiful, but when one reaches a certain age, and has gain many experiences in life, he/she starts looking for games which are fun, and uplifting... Ori is a masterpiece, and yet I felt very lonely, and sad... so I stopped playing, and replayed Rayman, or DK...
A did hold my breath until the last game... and thankfully, you did choose wisley: Ori and Blind Forest AND Ori and the Will of the Wisps are the most beautiful games (not only platformer!), I have ever seen. And I played more than 10.000 games in nearly 40 years!
My heart is so happy to see SpiritFarer first thing on the list. I highly highly recommend this game if you want to experience something that will leave a mark in your heart forever.
Very good list, I played almost every title and can especially recommend HOB. That was the surprise of the year for me at the time. Not all titles are classic platformers, but each one is unique in its own way.
I remember playing the original with my old neighbor's then five year old kid that first five or so minutes: we laughed, we cried, we cranked up the visuals
@@germanandres24 Ori and the Blind Forest is my 3rd favourite game ever and Hollow knight is my 6th. I played both. Only thing i didn't do in Hollow Knight was Absolute Radiance. Even if Hollow Knight has much more to do than Ori and even if Hollow Knights combats is way above Ori i love Ori more.

It makes me so happy to see Raji: An ancient epic get recognition and mention because to make it the lead Dev had even took a loan against her house or sold it.. the situation wasn't very good. But the game came out as beautiful and a very sweet experience
Some of these games, like Child Of Light are on PS3 as well. :) Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will o the Wisps are also utterly stunning games, from the music to the scenery.
The Trine series, imo, can not be beat. I am absolutely in love with it. The art, environments, level design, and character skills all bring such joy. And then solving a particularly tricky "puzzle" or finding a really well hidden item makes me feel really good. Plus the music is gorgeous.
My sons and I have fell in love with Trine. It's all they talk about. We play games on the weekend, and Trine is a really big deal, haha. We beat Trine 4, and now are on 5. Castle Crashers is another good couch co-op.

The company that makes it just released another game that's all about the alien(s) from Castle Crashers, but it's only on X-Box. Nice to hear someone else enjoys Trine as much as I do. the whole time waiting to see where Ori ranked on this list. When i saw hollow knight, i knew ori couldn't be far away. absolutely stunning game visually, musically, and mildly traumatizing with the story.
Haven't played a lot of games overall, but Ori.............. Ori will always hold a special place in my heart. Right from the beginning, it had me hooked on its breathtaking graphics and intriguing gameplay, and don't get me started on the story. Easily had me tearing up--- more than once. Beautiful, beautiful game and fantastic soundtrack. I actually found the soundtrack first and fell so in love with it I was determined to buy the game. I'm so glad it made this list--- although it's hardly surprising.
💨Ori and 🧙Trine series are my favorites! They are fantastic! There are other cool ones in these list like Hollow Knight, SteamWorld Dig 2... but it depends on everyone's tastes ❤.
Arise and Pathless are mouthbafflinly underrated and ignored, the others are somewhat popular thought i didnt knew about Greak. Going to add it to my wishlist at the very least and possibly i will give it a try.

I'd say Ori is most likely the most beautiful video game ever created. Graphically, sure, you have impressive games like Red Dead Redemption and the likes, but art style wise, Ori is just orgasmic.

i would put Ori and the blind forest i know you already put the Other Ori games, but even when they have a similar style the first one is entirely 2D while the second uses shadows and lighting to simulate some sort of 3d animation style on models. other games that was impressive on his time and more considering it was less than 1 GB size was "Sons: a tale of Two Brothers" a charming and emotional pratform game from Xbox 360 Arcade era kind of precursor for "it takes two". Brothers looks amazin for a game of his size and an small studio the sounds effect and music are also great. sadly is a really short and easy game more focused on storytelling than gameplay

Ori will of the wisp is one of my favorite games of all time. It was confusing at 1st but once you get past the 1st area it's amazing
The Ori series is the first platforming game that I really enjoyed playing. It's sooo good. Looking forward to playing it again in the near future.

Ori is the game that I will never forget in my lifetime. Metro last light is such another game which I wont forget ever.

i would put Ori and the blind forest i know you already put the Other Ori games, but even when they have a similar style the first one is entirely 2D while the second uses shadows and lighting to simulate some sort of 3d animation style on models.
other games that was impressive on his time and more considering it was less than 1 GB size was "Sons: a tale of Two Brothers" a charming and emotional pratform game from Xbox 360 Arcade era kind of precursor for "it takes two". Brothers looks amazin for a game of his size and an small studio the sounds effect and music are also great. sadly is a really short and easy game more focused on storytelling than gameplay
Gris is hands down the most visually stunning game I've ever seen.
