I finally get my hands on a FORD Mustang, this particular model was a V8 convertible. My good buddy Aaron (babygorrila81) and I put it though its paces and talk about what we really think of Fords latest offering for 2017. It's far from perfect, but for just over £40k, we believe it offers good value in a overall package other manufacturers can't offer.
Apologies for the poor sound in places, my mic adaptor was damaged and I didn't realise until after filming :-(
We both had a lot of fun in the car over the two day period :-)

A relative owns a Mustang 5.0 Convertible manual and I agree with you in basically everything. The interior is not the nicest but it looks good and there are parts that are not bad. The seats are good and there's actually a lot of room in the car. The practical car they had was damaged, so they had to use this as an everyday car. It's now got 22k miles and it's only one year old. His daughters aren't the tallest, but they fit in the back with no problems; and bigger people also fit. It's a really practical car for what it is. It could be that I haven't driven enough fast cars, but the car felt super quick when I drove it. I reached 135mph without even noticing. It's a fast car. And yes, the smile on my face was priceless. The way the people look at you is astonishing (his Mustang is bright red, so...) Anyway, I really have enjoyed your review. You should do more reviews with him. BTW, does your M135i feel faster or is it faster than the 'Stang?

The coupe doesn’t have many of the drawbacks the convertible has. Coupe for driving, convertible for posing! Great video once again. Love your work.

Brilliant video and great commentary from the both of you. Need a tatbels wig for Aaron (at least for a little part of the video next time) for the windswept heavy acceleration and braking with giggling.

Probably the best hire car. I would never buy one, but for a holiday it's a bit of a giggle.
I could imagine in 3 or 4 years time bits of trim will fall off in the Mustang. I spoke to a sales woman at my Local Ford dealership who told me (after I pointed out the poor build quality) that when the first cars came over the bonnet (hood) was out alignment so the dealership had to take them off and put it on straight. I walked out of the show room and bought my M235i the next weekend. Great video yet again Joe.
Matthew's Motors I'd bet it'll be more reliable long term than any BMW - Fords just go on and on ... build quality and posh materials are not the same thing (and I've always owned German cars, but they've never been faultless)
Matthew's Motors nah fords are really on par with Germans for reliability, hence why you still see many 10+ year old fords about
CarreraGT I was mainly talking about the interior build quality of let's be honest a 40k+ car.
Was interested but if it’s 5.0l and not fast, I ain’t buying. Convertible or hard top versions ?

That thing sounds ace! Funny though about the gearing, 3rd gear in an F20/21 116i will take you over 100mph!

Hi Joe! In terms of acceleration and speed how do you compare it with your M135i??
I would say its around 10% slower than my M135i in a straight line
First thought on seeing one at my Ford dealer was, it's physically too big for the UK. The thing is huge!

The Mustang is made for the masses in the States so it's made cheaper than German cars. In Finland it's like 80k Euro or more lol so nobody buys them. It's a cool part of automotive history and now with independent rear suspension ;-)
Personally I'd rather get a second hand m3 convertible! If you can afford to run a 5L v8 get something that's actually worth it. Great video tho joe!

Lol, my friend bought this V8 5 Litre (425 hp is it) and he thinkhes gonna beat me in my new GTI Clubsport (whichs kinda like the Golf R at 300 hp) Will see how that goes... lolz ;)

3DFX he has a flat torque curve from almost idle.
I'd genuinely put this on par with the E92 M3. I love this thing, that engine for that cheap is unbelievable. While the German sports cars are falling with smaller, boring engines this just comes out with a big N/A V8 AND FOR £35000!
A convertible compared with a coupé? You have yet to understand the basics of cars.
