Quiet mode is definitely a nice feature. Could have used that on my BMW. Ended up putting in a quieter exhaust because it woke the dead every cold start.
Corvette had active exhaust like 10 years ago and I loved the idea. Really wanted to adapt something to my older cars but the mufflers are typically huge to make it work. The aftermarket has come out with some stuff but I can't find much video on any of them and they are quite expensive to gamble on.
There is an in between for the traction control, if you press the button it is mostly off. To fully turn it off you have to hold the brake and hold it for 10 seconds.
I just started watching these guys. They are so engaging and enthusiastic. By far the most entertaining auto reviewers, and pretty damn informative. I never had so much fun watching a pair of auto journalists drive and picking apart a car.
Great video and that exhaust is WOW. I feel for y'all as well, filming in a convertible is a nightmare in terms of getting good audio. Keep up the good work!
or a considerate smoker either. It's because Mustangs are so impractical that the only reason you'd get one is because it's cool, but for any other logical reason.
2015 PP GT in yellow owner here: love the optional gauges, active exhaust and magnaride but I prefer the looks of my year. The nicer materials on the doors and center console would be nice to have and that extra power. The 3.73 gears of the performance pack help the low end. The new clutch/flywheel would great too. I added the Roush axleback exhaust to mine and the sound is perfect. Just like sport mode on the new active exhaust. If you can find one used like I did, the depreciation lends to killer deals.
"I'd take the Miata,..." Yuri, I'm weeping. I've never felt so happy, I want to have your baby. Then again, the exhaust note, the pin you into the seat stuff, ... that has to be a real thrill. It's been something like 40 years since I drove a car with a V8. Your reviews are always smile inducing.
Enjoyed the comments about the various display settings, I know this video is 3 yrs old, but I am looking for a pre owned car so this is great, nice video work!
I am a Camaro guy BUT this is the first Mustang I actually think looks good. THat backend is so nice, and the front end just makes it sleek through the air.
Yep, former 2015 gt pp owner who just got a new Gt350. Besides the preset modes that adjust all attributes together, you can press the traction button once to eliminate traction control only (stability on), double tap twice quickly for sport stability mode or hold for 10ish seconds for full off. Keep in mind you have to start each manipulation from full on mode, meaning you can’t go from traction control off to sport mode with a double tap, have to turn it back on with another single tap, then whatever you’d like from there.
I love your guys’ videos so much. You are so gifted and do such a great job. Thank you for your awesome work and service. You’re such a blessing. God bless you guys and your family.

Not really... I bought a exec used grabber blue premium GT. No way in hell I'd get the same deal with a 2018. For me the biggest changes is more horsepower, better transmission & clutch, electronic gauges and the active exhaust. It just wasn't worth the crazy jump in price. Maybe I should have waited a year for a exec/demo used mustang, but it just wasn't possible. I'm super happy with my rare mustang, plus I avoid the issues with the new engine.
Yeah, I bought a 2016 2-1/2 years ago and I still love it. BUT, I am sad it's not a 2018. There little updates are so nice. The low end power is pretty weak in the 2016, and there's a nasty little power Plato from curve dip from 3800-4200 that really bugs me. Overall it's still an awesome car and I'm not too upset!
I bought a used 2015 GT and I'm not sad at all. Don't like the looks of the 18 at all, and the fact that a loaded GT hits Corvette territory is absolute crap. I got my 2015 GT for 27k, around 30k out the door, good luck ever finding this new droopy-faced pony for that price.
Guys, I'm in the southeast U.S. My S550 is black. I can drive it hard for an hour when it's so hot you could cook an egg on the road. Afterwards I can park it pop the hood, raise it, and latch it no problem. It's really not that bad.
Happy with my 2016 GT convertible. Added 20 HP with Roush intake and tune. Next is Ford Performance axle back exhaust. Bought my 2016 one owner with 21k miles for 36 grand. In sport+ mode it really blasts. I couldn't justify 58 grand on a new 2022 GT convertible. I would have had to trade my 22k mile 2010 grabber blue GT500 and that ain't happening. Now 540 HP to 435 HP you can really feel in the seat of your pants. 435 to 460 HP not a big jump and really a few tweaks to a 2015 to 2017 puts you near or over what a 2018 to 2022 has in HP. If you want the real deal get a Mach 1.
I’m a BMW guy but this new Mustang GT changed my perception. It may not be as refined as Germans but this car is the greatest value you will find in its class. For a weekend fun I’d spend $45k and save $40k instead of an M4 convertible.
The first new car I bought when I was 20 was a 99 Cobra. A yr later traded it in on a 00 civic Si. That car was amazing . Not long ago I bought a white 98 Cobra with black interior. That car was pretty awesome. The 96 -98 Cobras will be worthy collectables in the near future. Side note, my 99 Cobra new, was 32k$. They've literally doubled in price.
Royal Crimson is the best color. Everyone I talk to either loves it or wants it, but didn't get it. Clearly you guys didn't look at it right, because it's red, purple, and brown, depending on the time of day and the angle of the sun.
Rico Sauvelone it feels amazing as a daily, I’m modifying it to the point of 350 HP and well whatever he torque is after that haha, already at 350 LB-FT
It’s weird how no one else competes with dodge at the high level, but at that medium level of muscle ford is killing it. That display is insane for a car most people thing is supposed to be a rugged drag car.
Here in Vancouver, Mustangs are among the slowest cars on the road. The four vehicles I avoid getting behind are buses, dump trucks, cement mixers, and Mustangs. I think it's mostly older people that buy Mustangs here, out of nostalgia, and then are afraid to touch the gas pedal.
When I was car shopping I was excited to try out a Mustang. I didn't even go on a test drive, after sitting in the thing I was so disappointed with the interior quality I walked away. Ended up with an M240i instead.
Could we have a review on the Ecoboost High Performance package hard top with manual transmission this summer please? With gas price this year it could be a great car to discover!
finally you guys have a car that is worth driving lol. it's neat to see how strong that car pulls, especially in relation to all the other cars that you guys normally drive.
I remember driving my dads not too long ago. I put in in track cuz... you know... track lol. After watching this video and realizing it turned every traction safety feature off, I’m thankful I never put it in a ditch on that rainy day. 😂
I have the same options on my 2018 except the color and the convertible top.... I wish the dealer could have found me one to my liking in Royal Crimson!
When you have a car for a bit you don't need shift lights, exact rpm or even a tach. You drive by sound and pull. Had a 92 civic hatch cx with muffler, air intake, plugs, wires and a planed head and after a few days never hit the limiter much after. Unless I was dusting a 305 camaros until 160 kph and trying to keep revs for 4th. It would do 220 in 4th and start dropping in 5th. Lotta fun
Hopefully the Mustang will see their new OHV V8 configuration. They have the new OHV 7.3L V8 coming soon, which would be awesome like it is, but even a smaller displacement would be awesome, and it needs to make its way into the Mustang.
Doctor Ferdinand Why would the regulatory environment stop them from using an OHV configuration?? You do realize every competing V8 car from the other American manufacturers is OHV, right? And that OHV is actually more efficient in theory and reality, scoring lowing CO2 emissions and better MPG on the CAFE cycle, right?
Doctor Ferdinand When done correctly, OHV engines are cheaper, simpler, smaller, lighter, stronger, have fewer moving parts, and actually have lower emissions and better fuel efficiency. The only reason bigger displacement OHV is not as popular and why downsizing is taking over is because idiots have too many misconceptions about engine displacement. Regulation have nothing to do with this. Not only is this new OHV engine going to have more displacement than outgoing OHC 6.2L and OHC 6.8L, it's expected to be more efficient, too.
Shoutout to Jakub calling it an amazing transmission - one year later Ford is being sued over it lol. And you can change the RPM on the tach to show the gear youre in!!! Love the videos boys
You guys have great chemistry. That's something most car review channels don't have.
Literally, no one will ever unsub even you just cut the audio completely. Great review!
Dude I came for the cam angles, stayed for engine sound

Quiet mode is definitely a nice feature. Could have used that on my BMW. Ended up putting in a quieter exhaust because it woke the dead every cold start.

That Royal Crimson color is one of my favorite parts of the 2018 Mustang. It looks so nice in the sun!

Rumor has it the next mustang gt will be a 5.2 cpc.
9:10 Yuri hits his best point of this video at this mark 🎯
Shoutout to Jakub calling it an amazing transmission - one year later Ford is being sued over it lol. And you can change the RPM on the tach to show the gear youre in!!!
Love the videos boys
Ours never broke 🤷🏼♂️🤣
Wish you guys would review a 2019 mustang performance pack level 1. 10 speed automatic you guys do such great reviews.
OMG 9:46 Yuri getting a woodie for sure :) Keep up that smile - we know what you mean
I AM a considerate Mustang GT 5.0 owner. I do not make noise in my neighborhood.
Good point you raise about the hazard light switch. Maybe if the tip was red-coloured it would improve visibility
Huge thanks for adding the conversion for your friends south of the border!!!!
I’ve booked one for June ‘22 in Orlando for my holidays … if we ever get in the US
I love that front end so much, I used to be on the fence but I love it now
Great review as always. Ford have nailed it with the 2018, however those triple spokes would have looked absolutely hideous on that Mustang.
