I discovered your channel through your videos, “Only Gameboy for 30 Days” and “Only Gameboy for 30 Days in Japan.” Those challenges truly inspired me to undertake a similar adventure, and it brought me immense joy. It allowed me to relive my childhood, dust off my old game collection, and rekindle my love for my Gameboy Color. This journey also led me to purchase the FPGBC kit. Since following your channel, I've bought some custom cartridges from Etsy, which have added a refreshing twist to the classics. I picked up Pokémon Prism and Pokémon Red Deluxe, and I was amazed by the quality of those cartridges. I also recently got the ModRetro Chromatic, which has quickly become my favorite handheld. Now, I'm collecting games and exploring the indie scene with homebrew titles. I occasionally stream on my channel, and who knows, maybe one day I'll review retro games. I just want to express my gratitude; if I hadn't stumbled upon those “Only Gameboy for 30 Days” videos, I wouldn't have discovered this new passion for the Gameboy. Thank you for all that you do-please keep making great videos!
I absolutely LOVE this video idea. For Christmas 03, I too got my GameCube, as well as Luigi’s mansion and Mario party 5! I remember I opened up a controller before me and my brother opened the console- and I was so excited. “Josh, we got a GameCube!!!!” I exclaimed. We didn’t have a memory card for a while, so for the first month or so, we had to unlock all our mini games and re-do all of Luigi’s mansion every time we turned it on. What wonderful memories, glad you took the time to share yours ❤
You and your brother have so many great nostalgic gaming memories and I’ve always loved hearing you talk about them! I think it would be so fun to make something together at some point! Happy holidays! :)
I’m so jealous of the library behind you :) I wish I kept all my physical games and cartridges but I always had to trade in my old stuff to get the new stuff. My parents weren’t a big fan of video games, so rarely bought them for me 😅
I'm really thankful that my parents never made me get rid of anything. That happened to a lot of my friends. Most of the games I own I bought for myself though! I started collecting games slowly over the years ever since I got my first part time job at the age of 15!
i discover you aswell from ''the only gameboy for 1 month'', i was playing like competitive games online and in some of them i was kinda high elo, people flaming sending friend request for insulting and blaming burned me so i returned to this type of ''chill solo player nintendo classic games'' i bought a nintendo switch with scarlet and i started to watch your videos, have good holidays and happy new year
Think that was the year I got Sonic adventure 2 for Christmas crazy how you bring up that year plus the new sonic movie out hope you have a merry Christmas!
This was a really enjoyable video. I was 2 back in 2003 so I didn't get to play the GameCube but I have so many good memories playing the dsi and 3ds as a kid. One of my favorite Christmas memories was when my aunt Virginia got me Ultra Moon for Christmas and I absolutely loved it, couldn't put it down until I beat it. I even based my team and their names on Christmas a bit. Most of the team made sense but then I just had this Butterfree on my team that I named Christmas Bug and it actually landed the final hit on Ultra Necrozma after the rest of my team had been knocked out.
My favorite console of ALL time gamecube SLAPPED. I got mine for christmas in 06. I had Pixar's Cars, this power rangers game, and I had spyro which I was too scared to play lol
EDIT: I've been fooled you look like another youtuber I was bingng today LMAO all G i loved these games as a kid too bro I'll stay subbed Merry Christmas
I didn't get a PS2 until 2004 because my folks wanted me to save $100 to chip in, so I'm pretty sure I didn't get any actual games that year. I was pretty into DBZ VHS tapes and Yu-Gi-Oh cards, so it was probably that stuff and action figures. I could probably count every game I owned up to that point on two hands, it was all hand me downs or gifts from outside the family. Mario Land 2 Wario Land 3 Pokemon Silver Yu-Gi-Oh: Dark Duel Stories Spyro 2 Digimon Rumble Arena Digimon Card Game Pokemon Sapphire Legacy of Goku
