    Wooooooow, crazy result bro!! Love this video. Top tier content as always. Also, I hear StarField is coming out this weekend. Any chance you will be reviewing that as well? Keen to know if it worth the hype. Can’t wait for the next one 👍🏽👍🏽🤩🤩

    Just came across this channel for the first time.
    I couldn't help but notice the Hifiman headphones. Hifiman Arya, I'd say?
    Also, great video!

    Today we learnt that Ryzen 8000 (aka Zen 5) will retain the same I/O die as the current Ryzen 7000 chips, which means there won't be any improvement to the memory controller. It is only a rumor for now, but it is something to consider. Zen 5 might be much faster in pure core IPC, but not much in terms of memory latency. V-cache will still play a big role in the Zen 5 generation.

    You highlighted some 24x2 kits at the end and those are Hynix M die (3rd generation) not A die just to be clear. Those are probably the most ‘future proof’ as of now although they are a tiny bit slower than 2x16 a die unless you clock them higher.

    I am running the latest AGESA 1.0.0.7C and I got an extra 250 points on Cinibench 23 with today's score a massive 39103 points. 7950X 420 mm water cooled. Liquid metal. No slow down and that is with the lastest August 18th Asus Chipset drivers on a ROG Crosshair X670E motherboard.

    Nice . But there are now even more improvements in 1.0.0.7c new bios f8c is with the following :
    Update AMD AGESA 1.0.0.7 c
    Improve DDR5 OC performance*
    * Higher memory speeds may cause longer memory training time on the first boot.
    Im looking for guidence for bdie cl36 6000 to oc. Any pointers?
    No links in the description for ram bytheway.

    AGESA 1.0.0.7b screwed up my bios big time. First attempt the EXPO profile disappeared. After rolling back, I had to flash it using the default profile. Even after then my saved profiles got corrupted with junk values. Also, if I set VDD_SOC to auto, it want to assign 6.66V!
    edit: 37%!?! thanks for saving me from buying 7800X3D.

    I have a 7800x3d, with some ddr5 6400 cl32 ram, finally got the ram to run at full speed with this new bios build. though i noticed its running a bit hot, (89 C under 100% load and 45-55 C idle) I have a kraken x73 cooler and using noctua nt-h1 paste, it seems to cover the whole IHS and i have the pump mounted as tight as i can. do you know of anything i could tune to make it run a bit less hot, (currently running default bios settings with D.O.C.P enabled) and VDDR_SOC is locked at 1.290

      If you use Precision Boost Overdrive with a negative offset the temp should go down. I also did notice my CPU getting more hot, now that you mention it

    • @ToddyS
      @ToddyS 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@gamedaytoday1 i set it to negative, and a magnitude of 30, dropped 5c also seeing wether i can drop the SOC voltage, currently at 1.2.

      @ToddyS 11 месяцев назад

      @@gamedaytoday1 now idling 40-45, had to put SOC voltage to 1.25, anything under was unstable, tested some PPT limits for the CPU as well, for me 85W is the sweet spot, getting more performance than before and its stuck at 80-82 degrees under 100% load running cinebench, though at such loads it will only boost up to 4.93 GHz for me, usually stays at 4.85 though. at 80W limit it was stuck at 4.85ghz at 100% load and got it to stay at 75 C the whole torture test.

      @@ToddyS Awesome! cinebench will stress any CPU I am confident that you are seeing higher Boost frequencies in game. Well done, higher performance and lower temperature. Its a win! Enjoy your perfect gaming experience :)

    This is amazing. Great video. I only play Sc and I'm trying different configurations. I have another question. I was reading that to able to benefit from the 8000 memory on a Ryzen 7000 you should have the dual ccd processor like the 7900x/x3d or the 7950x/x3d due to the infinity fabric bandwidth otherwise as your video shows it doesn't benefit at all. What do think about it? I have the 79503xd with a gskill 48gb 8000 memory and I'm trying to overclocking the memory. But I may need a different motherboard because the hero doesn't help. I'm thinking to get the same as yours. If I get it stable I'll be happy to share the results with you and contribute some how. thanks.

    Hey I love your vids, learning so much! I'm building a new rig, deciding between intel and amd and it seems that switching to amd (am5) is the move right now (considering zen 5). I love the sticks you linked but I need 64gb and 4 sticks are no-go, right? Can you suggest what to do?

    • @gaurlglmistrz
      @gaurlglmistrz 10 месяцев назад

      I mean I would go intel for that fps advantage you show in benchmarks (look at starfield!) and productivity but since it's the end of the socket + high hopes for zen 5..

    Many thanks for this video…
    However for now no one should be buying DDR5 as much its factory overclock speeds suck
    A 7800X3D should theoretically be able to do 8000MHz CL34 you used CL36 and the kits you can buy only come in CL40 or for a lot more money CL38
    I do wonder if any of the ram settings your using differ from what they should be…
    For example Ryzen DDR4 has tRCDWR and it should always be 8 completely regardless of ram speed and i think 4-5 other settings where it should always be a certain number or can be set lower than on intel systems with the same sticks
