@@modernninja1372 Nvidia is not fighting AMD or Intel in CPU market. Nvidia is only competing AMD in GPU market.
So Nvidia is fighting only 1 company.
If you want to get technical and say nvidia owns ARM, even then... it's not exactly desktop CPUs. They are probably fighting Apple in that market? Coz Nor intel, nor AMD makes ARM processor. They make x64 processors.
Intel is fighting AMD is cpu market. They don't make GPUs, yet. So Intel is only fighting 1 company too.
But AMD is fighting both Intel (in CPU market) and Nvidia (in GPU market). And they are close to winning. That's impressive considering they are fighting 2 companies at once. So yes, OP is right.

great video - thanks for the info. I anticipate a few more problems with the new 7000 series. I think I will wait a bit before switching over. I do have a Bios question - is the bios for a prebuilt system generally different from the DIY type build (I ended up with a 5800x cpu from a prebuilt and it won't run on my 550 board) I swapped ram, updated to the latest bios, I did that a few times.... I ended up swapping to a different cpu but still would like to use the 5800x in another build - just wondering if it could be a bios issue

Update BIOS once (I don't really want to keep messing with it)...let it go for 5 minutes (32gb spread on 2 sticks, only 2 I got)...and then...isn't there some "remember settings to the last detail" BIOS setting?
Also, why the hell did I find someone complain it takes 20-40s to start from cold boot? What the f is the BIOS battery for if not to keep power so it doesn't forget settings?
Also, also, if I get an ASUS TUF B650-PLUS and AMD Expo Vengeance 32GB Dual Channel DDR5 and I have NO spare parts or RAM, how do I go about things?
DO I flash BIOS without CPU or RAM (can I?) or do I just add everything (CPU, RAM, SSD, Cooler) and then do it...and pray? What if it doesn't boot? I DO NOT WANT to have to remove CPU, preferably EVER, and NOT THE COOLER either (like for 5 years+ after I put in it).
Does the damn thing start of with Expo activated? And why even use expo...I just want the damn thing to work at 6000MT 36-36-36-76 at 1.35v (what it says on the ram)? Does expo try to get it to work at ....say 30-36-32-36-76 at 1.4V or what?

ASUS X670E-E also has the long post, sits on Q code 15 for about 2-3 mins with 64 GB RAM. Does this only on first post. Once OS is installed, it's an instant boot. Though changing a setting in the BIOS will do another long first post and is fine after. Kinda annoying but apparently it's a process to tune the memory for best performance.

Just as a small update for those watching and perhaps are unaware 😁
Issue 1: There's now a "Short" AM5 backplate by thermal grizzly that you can replace your motherboards backplate with (If needed) and will be compatible with both your SAM (Socket actuated mechanism) and your AM4 cooler that required the backplate change.
Issue 2: AMD chips, Ryzen in particular are very memory speed dependent for their performance, this extended wait time is called "Memory training" and has been around since Ryzen 1st Gen, just be patient, 99.9% of all PC issues are able to be solved. It also helps if the RAM you're using is EXPO compatible, please check the retailer for more info.
Issue 3: This is a common issue with all new tech, Intel included, developers will always prioritise stability over outright speed, my AM5 system boots in about 10 seconds on a Gen4 SSD (In the back slot of my motherboard), if this problem persists for months and months, perhaps do some research on how you've got your system configured as there is a good chance it's an easy fix :)

    • @karlos1060

Is that 10 seconds from when you press the bower button or 10 seconds when it starts to post? My Ryzen 9 5900X works really fast from the start. I know Ryzen is memory sensative and enabling EXPO can cause instability. I recently bought a Ryzen 7 7800 X3D but within 1 hour it was dead 😢 so send it back and got a refund.
Also it seemed to take a long time to boot up. I am talking about 1 month ago when i bought it. I had 5600 mhz ddr5 corsair with AMD optimisation and a 650 msi board.
Still thinking about to try again. But i don't like long boot times or instable systems.

      @AxleLotl 8 месяцев назад

@karlos1060 10 seconds from pressing the restart function on the desktop. It's very quick.

@@AxleLotl Okay, thanks for the info. I am still leeaning towards rebuying a 7800X3D.
But from what i heard is that EXPO can easely kill 7800X3D chips. Maybe also due to older bios agesa?
I know it was a think when they launched, and i experienced it myselve.
And do you think it is stable enough to go for the 6000mhz ram instead of 5600?
My 5900X also has 3600mhz amd opt ram, but it's not stable at that speed. So i don't use expo and it works perfect.
