Sounds Like Her 'Family' Were "Thugs" of Hindostan. She was probably a stolen child from the start, snatched from a cradle and raised to be a slave and scapegoat. Such evil people. That sounds more like it, that, or a product of adultery or incest kept secret. Anyway, i think she should get a DNA sample from all involved in this criminal behavior. Chances are 50/50 she's not related. Would explain alot.

I had a Asian friend during my school days. We were really close and I do remember times when she appeared stressed and really sad. When asked what’s wrong she always said her brother and Dad got on her nerves. She was never allowed to come to my house, I wasn’t allowed to her house. I feel a bit guilty that I never chased up when she just disappeared. The last conversation I had with her 50 years ago was she was being sent abroad to get married. I’ve never heard from her, never seen her again.
After listening to this horrendous human torture and abuse I feel 😢😢😢😢. So sad. I am so glad this lady is still on her journey of loving herself. But I feel sad her children had to suffer too. Keep spreading the word. Why does this culture look down on females. You wouldn’t exist if a woman wasn’t around.

@@yingdormak9049 Right? How indefensible is that? I watched one about a woman gang r*ped and beaten on a tour bus by 6 men in India and it was horrific! She was able to tell her statement to investigators while suffering from multiple injuries, including disembowlment. She died of her injuries while being flown to a specialized hospital. Then when the tourism director of India said that a "small rape" that received world wide news coverage caused them to lose millions of dollars of revenue from female visitors made me absolutely sick! WTH is a small r*pe? He and the r*pists blamed her for being out after dark with a male friend. Of the six men that perpetrated this unconscionable act one was killed or committed suicide in his jail cell, one was 17 and was sentenced to three years at a reformatory that teaches them skills and gives them 10,000 rupes when they leave , and the other four were hanged in a group. Since then India has changed their law stating that if you are over age 16 and commit such a horrific crime you will be tried as an adult.

I was told about 9 or 10 that my sexual abuse was not bad enough to remove me from my home while they took my older brother out of the home. Albeit his situation was worse but we were both beaten, chained up and given no facilities. I on the other hand got the additional sexual abuse. But that is the American system for you.

And even the boys grow up like this, seeing-, and learning how to treat EVEN YOUR OWN FAMILY... no wonder they see any westerner's life as wxrthless. You disassociate and when you have to relive the horror, you once again disassociate; you know it happened to you, but a different "you." It's called survival. We just find a way to survive in a way no one else will ever understand other than to often think of us as cold. "Cold" is our coping with what we live with and doing our best to remain strong. Often our strength is our ability to rise above and not to let anyone know our inner pain and turmoil. You see our strength as us being cold. It’s disgusting when people say “why didn’t you just leave?”
Are you kidding me? She was psychologically conditioned to sustain abuse.
Be grateful because to ask a question like “why didn’t you ‘just’ leave?” It’s evident that you have likely grown up in a household with at least subpar love and even if you’ve a history of surviving abuse you were around enough love and support that gave you the confidence to know there’s an options such as walking away. Coming from a reality in which allll of THIS is unacceptable. Means you grew up with healthy boundaries. Whereas, abuse is the transgression against another humans boundaries. Abusers fail to recognize others as humans.
Stop the cycle. Don’t let your kids grow up thinking this is acceptable. It’s not.

I agree, but I think that most people can’t see staying with children especially when they are now sharing in the abuse. It makes her complicit in them receiving abuse because she isn’t protecting them at all. Abused children cannot understand your trauma when they are undergoing and enduring their own. This is what most people can’t understand. She shares that she didn’t want to be around people at the women’s refuge because they were drinking, but stayed with a partner who was abusing her children. It’s tough to reconcile that. For me anyway, her being a loving parent didn’t override her partner being a monster. Her children still endured and that saddens me.

@@ThePimmy11so the alternative is to just stand around and watch her daughter being raped by her husband and relatives, also almost being beaten up to death later? She did nothing. She didn't even TRY to get help. You bring a child into the world, you protect it with all your might. She could have called a neighbour or the police or the emergency number . Yes the daughter tried on her own later and that one policeman didn't help but that doesn't mean EVERYONE is the same. Not everyone is evil in the world, there are people who might have helped or intervened if she had at least tried to do something for her daughter while she was being beaten. Most sane people won't stand around and watch someone being 'bounced off walls' , 'bones being broken' and 'stamped on' . Ever considered that?

I remember the moment in my healing when, at 33, I enjoyed the freedom of looking at a tree - specifically a leaf that was dangling from the tree. i had been in survival mode for so long, I just stood there for a good 20 mins, in the middle of the day, next to a busy road just staring at this leaf like it was the first time i'd ever seen one. I couldn't remember how long it had been since I'd noticed anything around me besides what I feared. I must have looked insane. Like Nina, I too remember the moment I realised that anything bad I thought or knew about myself was what people said to or thought of me. My heart aches for all of us whose childhoods were stolen. This is not what our lives should have been and the road back is such an emotional roller coaster ❤

@@villa_fan8882 ok, here goes. You have to know that this was 50 years ago when i was child. My mother was Irish(so was my father) and much like I would imagine for many Muslims when you got married it was for life. Divorce was not on the cards in those days for Irish women. You must also know that then society did not view marital abuse in the same way as we do today. There was no help, no welfare that would allow you to walk away and in those days believe it or not the police were really not allowed to remove a man from his home even when he was a violent bully although the Police did on many occasions. My mom was terrified that we would be homeless and that we would be taken into care.
My mother always worked 2 jobs and sometimes 3 as my father rarely worked and would then cook, clean and be incredibly involved with us as well as being incredibly loving and caring towards us. She worked her fingers to the bone and always made us believe that better time were ahead. She was no pushover and did fight back but the pressure on her through the community and socially was immense. She did divorce my father after 9 attempts and brought us up by her self. She also took care of my father until he died even after she had divorced him and even though she couldn't stand him-she did that because she believed it was the right thing to do...he was our father.
My mother died aged 89 2 years ago. When she left this world my mother died as poor as a church mouse but my mother died like a Queen. She was looked after, at home by her family until she died with incredible love and devotion and was surrounded until the day she died by her 7 children, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. None of us cared about about an inheritance because there was no money. But she left us with the kind of inheritance that money cannot buy. We all knew that every bit of prosperity, every great experience and everything good in our lives came from her unbelievable efforts and that is why she was adored and why we shall all miss her for the rest of lives. We may be biased but we know she was an exceptional woman and every day we look to the heavens and thank God that he could choose us for such a gift. Thats why.
BTW we grew up a mile from the Villa!!

totally agree and it makes you value your own life even more...
I sometimes complain but it's like 0,00001% of what she went through
when people here my story they say OMG you have had so much badluck
perhaps I was lucky cuz it could've been million times worse!!!
(PS: i was never abused or anythings like that, actually had very good parents)
So I hope you also had a good childhood... in any case stay strong!

These disgusting vile men must be exposed. We need to let the whole world know who these wretched souls are and ensure this doesn't happen to any one else. I feel horrible that you had to go through this

being woman of the year is simply not enough for someone like Nina. she is the woman of this millennium. I can only thank the Almighty Lord, her children and her wonderful dog who guided her to survival. thank you for surviving Nina, you have more honour in your finger nail than any of the abusers wish they could have. what a wonderful warrior you are 💓

Jesus suffered and died for crimes he didn't commit, he paid our debt to all who put their trust in him and who he really is.
It's hard to see all the good he has done when our hearts are turned away from him. God has declared His glory through creation.
