    DESCRIPTION
Since I come from a strong 3ds Max + Vray background, I have very much gotten use to an HDRI workflow. That is why I am so happy to have a similar workflow in Unreal Engine, but with real time adjustment. Real time makes everything more fun.
In this video I go over how to use an HDRI workflow in UE5, and demonstrate how you can use it to easily and quickly add more interest and drama to a scene. To me, it is usually the most effective way to light any exterior scene, and it works very well for interiors too. I love that you colors and reflections in the scene always match the lighting perfectly. I also love that you can instantly change the whole mood of an image by simply finding a new HDRI with a different lighting scenario. UE5 makes this all super easy with the HDRI backdrop, but there are a few tips and tricks that you need to know.
If you're looking to create high-quality 3D scenes, then you'll want to check out this HDRI lighting tutorial. In just a few minutes, you'll be able to create realistic lighting with HDRI in Unreal Engine 5!
Check out the video and see what you think.

I have added HDRI backdrop but how i can make it hide while rendering sequence?
I tried with skylight having same HDRI map but there is light difference and bounce light difference. It look like HDRI backdrop is giving real lighting and bounce.
Hide in Game function not working. Any solution for this very basic function??
    Thanks

Hi very nice tutorial here thanks for sharing !
I'm trying to have correct reflexions but for some reason they turn blurry as soon as I rotate the HDRI backdrop. (in fact only the hdri is blurry other objects reflect just fine)
I've only got clean reflexions for 0°, 90° and 270° angles.
I've tryed setting the HDRIbackdrop to movable but I've the same issue.
I'm quite new to unreal so maybe it's just a simple fix

I have not experienced this, but I bet it has more to do with your reflection settings than it does with the HDRI. You get different results between Lumen reflections, ray trace reflections, and screen space reflections.
