And LAPD is low on officers most of the officers doing shifts at night are all new tho which is unfortunate most probably with about less than 2 years on the job simply because of staffing. Horseback officers already have more than 2 years of patrol that's why they're on horseback or they could be K9 SWAT etc

Tools like the Byrna, a less than lethal tool, are illegal in CA with pepper balls because god forbid criminals face potential injury I guess. We live in Las Vegas for over 30 years. All of those wonderful citizens from SoCal are moving here. Crime has gone thru the roof or the back glass door. Remember when it was being reported that Argentinian organized thieves were walking on over the open border and making burglary hits in well-to-do neighborhoods (focusing on "luxury" goods)? I haven't a word about that in a long time now yet their burglary MO continues unabated.
Now they are placing cameras in people’s yards to observe them before they strike. Some were caught last month. They don’t get jail time. I don’t even think they deport or strip them of their visas.
I once legally parked on a Westside street to take a nap before my early Dr. appointment and the cops pulled up across the street. In less than 20 mins. Why don’t they police all neighborhoods like that? It’s funny but no rich people complain about over policing. You either want to be safe or not.
The bummer is that Pepperballs are banned in CA, so according to the law, this was an illegal act to fire pepperballs at the thieves.

Asian parents are controling and less accepting of individualism. Look at those kids in the Korean ferry disaster. They could have saved themselves but were taught to always, always listen to the adults. Sometimes it's a matter of the governments being more controling. Look at the gov't control levels in China where they have no first amendment rights and even what they can see online is heavily restricted and monitored. Try chewing gum in Singapore.
