- It’s a new record! We’ve taken the Tata Nexon EV MAX to the world’s highest motorable road, Umling La pass in Ladakh, at a height of 19,024 feet. In this epic video we drive from Leh to Hanle and onwards to the Umling La pass via the Changthang wildlife sanctuary and Norbu La pass. All in an electric car - a huge achievement for a made in India EV - and a record certified by the India Book of Records.

i have been to umlinga on ford ecosport diesel in 2022 with 150000 kms in meter in our trip we had to do off road in last 2 kms as BRO was laying new road and blocked the road since we travelled from bangalore we took the more tough road and completed the trip i know what it feels like after reaching their for just one photo. its like life time achievement like climbing mount everest.
The roads now are like maska.... damn good

How did youll manage the return trip because as per the details shared in video there was only 59-60 kms left before the battery drains out completely?
I think as it is down hill they might have managed to do around another 70-85km, and might have towed it down further...😅
All downhill to Hanle, we recovered lots of range.
Using Regen it puts little energy back going down, might have just made it back
@@sirishch That would mean the regen works really well and we can confidently do some calculations in such situations while going downhill. Great to know thank you for sharing the details.

This was epic video...watching this video was like a movie for me and when u are mentioning 17kms left till 3kms left my heart was saying yes you can do it..don't breathout my hero (Nexon EV Max & not sirish 😜) similar to what we see in movies. Hero wins, happy ending 🤣🤣🤣😜😜.

You need a Honda gasoline generator to go back to Leh or a Recovery truck.

Saving planet while lithium batteries 🔋 killing it
Hi looks like i need help, i have nexon ev max with ac fan setting at 1 and regen set at 2 drive mode in eco the max mileage i have got is 250 km average speed maintained at highway between 80 and 90 , but regularly i only get 220 km not once in the display as shown i can drive 300 km complained raised at tata motors service no help in Bangalore. Any leads who can help me much appreciated
Drop your speed down by 10kmph and you’ll see a big difference

To make a single li-ion electric battery for a vehicle environment has to be damaged equal to cutting down of one hundred trees and tons of land must be dug out.
This whole EV scene is a big drama.Its like eating a burger wrapped with lettuce and saying it’s healthy..

it is just pure marketing video, with 60kms range left how will one come back, ok might be downhill but how much can one regenerate
Range anxiety is there with EVs, period! No two ways about it, No matter what Tata official says, usually they say very stupid things
All downhill so Umling La to Hanle easily done. And then recharge and head back to Leh. Not rocket science
60km can be extended with max re generation and its downhill... This is an issue if a flat terrain... However I was wondering is lithium actually a green battery 🤔..
