Hi, I'm from Brazil, I work 6 days of the week, 8h to 10h hour per day including Christmas and New Years Eve, so I was looking for a way to take control of my family diet without loosing too much time (since I have to wash clothes and clean the house) and GIRL YOU'RE THE BOMB. I'm so motivated after watching your videos! Fell in love here. Seriously.
I'm convinced the reason she has this energy is BECAUSE of days like this in the kitchen. She has extra time to recharge and "refill her cup" doing things she loves, since she isnt in the kitchen cooking every meal every day. If I only cooked like this once a month id have extra energy too 🤣🤣 I definitely aspire to get on this level. Love to see it 👏👏👏👏
@@icecream_andcookies Same here 300% Maybe I can start small and begin by cooking for a huge fam of 4 (even though it's just me and hubby who basically cooks all the time), then I can eat my single potion, then freezer the rest for the week. Then move on to 2 huge meals. I am super unorganized and even if I just try to multi-task, crap happens. I have bad ADHD so this looks way easier than it would actually be for me.
@@icecream_andcookies I agree. I cooked like this for a 28 day plan. It worked for me. I LOVED the minimal clean up and supper, not trying to come up with something to eat, not being hungry and trying to get a fast meal in the table. It was one long day, with a bunch of cleaning inside that day, but not awful, and a month of relaxing about meals!

I did this when our children were young and my husband and I both coached baseball and all three children played ball. One Saturday a month, I cooked from dawn to dusk. 28 meals, no meal more than three times, except homemade spaghetti and meatballs which my family would have eaten every day if allowed. It was hard at first, but I LOVED it after the first Saturday!!! Before bedtime, take tomorrow’s meal out of freezer and place in refrigerator. Walk in from work, place in oven. Eat in 1 hour. Minimal clean up. At the ball fields early! Only one negative…meals were portioned to have no leftovers, so when my children would spontaneously ask to have a friend over to eat, I didn’t have enough food. Sometimes I would eat something else so the friend could come, sometimes I said no. One piece of advice- some things you can pre-cook and then freeze, like lasagna, but things with chicken, freeze raw and plan for longer cooking time. Otherwise it can be dry.
You listen to Audiobooks while cooking and I listen to you while I work. I've made several of your recipes and have loved all of them. These freezer meal videos are a life saver. Thanks!

To kick up the Cranberry Chicken I add a packet of onion mix. My mother in law taught me to use whole cranberry sauce, onion packet, and Catalina dressing. Mix, pour over chicken and bake. It is our beef stroganoff. I also use the onion packet over roasts. My mom always brown's her roast then bakes it with veggies. I add the onion packet and broth to knock it out of the park. 😋

I can’t tell you how you’ve lifted me to another level. I’ve never seen a chef as good as you. On TV, in an article or blog, a book, or someone I knew. You are your own category. Do you even know that? I have a feeling you do. You have laser focused knowledge of food. It’s humbling and fun and scary and not scary. Like I said. I just love you. Keep doing what you do!! Thank you for letting us see how things could really be with some work and care. I’m blown away.

LOVE your energy level... At 51 I've lost some of mine. The food looks delicious 😋😋 just 1 BIG SUGGESTION don't microwave your Honey it kills All the nutrients in it. Put in a jar and place in a pot of water on the stove just let it simmer. It'll take a few extra minutes but we'll worth it. I'm going to be making your sour cream this weekend and I can't wait to try it ❤️❤️❤️.
I had some hamburger meat in the fridge I needed to get cooked up, I opened up a can of manwich into it and put it in the freezer, not near the same as what you are doing but I do feel pretty proud that I have a meal to just pull out of the freezer on a busy day :D you inspire us all so much . I made your seasoned salt a couple days ago and it's great. Hubby is making ribs tonight and I used the seasoned salt on them, can't wait to try em.
What a joy you are! You just showed up on my feed and I have subscribed. Many of your recipes will work for my husband and I. Tomato allergy here. LaVictoria enchilada sauce is made with chilies only, so I have been able to use that to substitute for tomato in some recipes. I enjoy making ahead. Just the two of us also and we eat much like you and your husband do. Now I have some new things to try. Looking forward to getting to know your style better.
Tomatoes mess with my husband's stomach, so I try not to cook with them -- really hard for this Texas girl! I gotta have my chili! One thing I've used as an alternative is pumpkin puree, with chili powder for some flavor. Thanks for the enchilada sauce idea. I'll have to try that.
I have watched this video probably 3 times already. Time for the 4th viewing! I just love watching this while I game or relax! You're an inspiration to all of us. I am planning to start a veggie garden this next year and I have you to credit for inspiring me. Virtual hugs from Norway.
Enjoyed this video very much! Have a sausage extraction hack from the wrapper: when you cut it in half, also cut the tiniest part of the ends and run a slit up the sides of both halves. Then just peel and dump. Less mess, NO waste!
God bless you girl, and here I’m thinking I’m the only one who is heavy handed and doesn’t measure, kind of gal, it’s why our food turn out BOMB!!!! 🙏🏼
I just recently found your channel and I've been loving these kinds of videos! My boyfriend is indian so seeing tikka masala was awesome and gave me some great inspiration. A tip though when adding the spices, garam masala is already toasted so it should be added towards the end of making the base of the sauce to avoid burning it, add it after blooming the other spices and before adding chicken or any liquid. I would suggest trying chana masala if you haven't yet, it's my favourite indian dish!
I love your channel. I have some major food allergies and I love the fact that you link the recipes so that I can look at them and figure out what I can substitute. It’s such a challenge when you have food, allergies, and sensitivities so recipes that you actually can look at it for you attempt it make it so much easier. Thank you so much for all your time and effort.
You inspired me to make meals for me and the boys! I made 4 extra large lasagna, 5 meatloafs, 2 sloppy Joe meals, 4 bags of spiced potatoes, and 8 steakhouse burger patties. I love your videos!! - Catherine

@@AcreHomestead Thank you for sharing your homestead with us through the vlogs! You're inspiring me to get my ish together and meal plan and buy more in bulk and reorganize my pantry and grow more herbs!
A pumpkin idea if you need to use some up. Purée pumpkin (2 cans or that amount of frozen) 1/2 cup any kind of peanut butter. Cup of oats (or so) and flour to make a nice dough (not too soft). You can add some crumbled cooked bacon if you wish. Roll out cut into small(1”x2” ]rectangles, bake at 300 until almost dried out. Cool and put into a container for dog treats (dogs go crazy for it) 😀

Aw thank you Jennifer :) You are so kind
Impressed!!!!!!
This is a great lesson in..Timing is everything and possibilities
Thanks!!
I love when you say "don't' want to waste time" because I have never seen someone use their time more efficiently than you! You get more done in a few hours than some of us get done in a week outside of work. I love watching your process, you are amazing.
I would like to see how you package them for the Freezer and how long does it last in the Freezer?
Sorry this is so late! I wrap them in 2 layer of foil. I will show it next time... we try to go through them in within 3-4 months..
Just found your RUclipss. You’re a breath of fresh air for your generation! Wow! 🥰🌻
I just found you on RUclips! You and these videos are gems! You have the best presence and personality in these videos. Your videos are also full of valuable content!
Thank you!
I love that your not afraid to season season season that makes for an awesome home cook!! I love your channel
Thanks!
Oh good to know!! thank you!! If you make it let me know on IG how you like it! @Acrehomestead if you have IG
You are ridiculously organized motivated and informative. You are prep goals. Thanks YT, one recommendation I didn't mind lol
This inspired me and today I meal prepped 12 meals for the next two weeks. Looking forward to not having to cook so much this week!
Wonderful!
Thank you!!
Your extreme use of garlic, onion and garlic powder makes my heart happy. Wish I could try your dishes 🥰
God bless you girl, and here I’m thinking I’m the only one who is heavy handed and doesn’t measure, kind of gal, it’s why our food turn out BOMB!!!! 🙏🏼
Agreed!
How am I just finding this channel?! Girl you are awesome and just what I'm looking for!
You are Phenomenal!!! So resourceful & a Great cook!! Your husband is a Real Lucky Fella!🤗 Thank You so much for sharing!!!
Your meal preps are the best on RUclips! So enjoyable to watch.
Washing your chicken with a little bit of vinger and salt makes it taste way better since the chicken sometimes has an odd taste without washing it 💕
Oh really! thank you! Sorry this reply is so late!
Too risky washing chicken, water splashes and you’ve then got salmonella in places you never seen it land
The executive function helpers you incorporate along the way really helped this click for me. Thank you
Wow! This young lady is so on point with her domestic skills!💯🙏
Where the crawdads sing and What Alice forgot are amazing!! Highly recommend
You inspired me to make meals for me and the boys! I made 4 extra large lasagna, 5 meatloafs, 2 sloppy Joe meals, 4 bags of spiced potatoes, and 8 steakhouse burger patties. I love your videos!! - Catherine
If you want more air out ziplock bags place in water watching that water doesn't seep into your food, then gently squeeze the air out. The water acts like a vacpac

Wow thank you so much!!
You 👏 are 👏 my 👏 hero 👏 !! This was crazy impressive lol
Hello it is so nice to see people still do this I was a stay-at-home mom and I enjoy all of it saved a lot of time for family events I had four small children and I was a stay-at-home mom thank you for these memories I wish you and your family the best
You have the kitchen and equipment of my dreams! I need to start doing this for me and my husband. Started doing a small garden... ok fine its just carrots potatoes did not grow :( or even my aloe bit carrots are blooming! Lol it's a start on a garden. But one day hope to have the back yard and kitchen that you have its so big to be able to do all this!
You can do it!
Becky, what you have done for my family is a ministry and I actually love you for it. You have inspired me to cook freezer meals for my family of four, for buying bulk and eating well, good quality food. You have changed 4 lives over here😘😘
Finally, someone who cooks like me.
OH GOOD!!! Sorry this reply is so late!
If you and your husband like spice… I need to send you our Demond powder … a little goes a long way… about 9 different hot peppers make it up and it’s amazing. You are an inspiration for meal prepping and organizing and getting back out into my garden.
Your book recommendation reminded me of one of my FAVORITE books, The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls. Highly recommend it!! Love your channel, been watching all your vids this week. You are so sweet and I'm so glad I found you!
That’s is an amazing book! Thanks for being here
@@AcreHomestead Thank you for sharing your homestead with us through the vlogs! You're inspiring me to get my ish together and meal plan and buy more in bulk and reorganize my pantry and grow more herbs!
Becky!!!! The sausage and pumpkin pasta is SOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!! I went holy moly!!
I'm really glad you like it!
Hey Becky! Can you share your go-to freezer pizza and pie crust recipes when you get a chance? :)
I will in the next freezer meal video!! I just need to eat all of them still LOL Sorry this reply is so late!
@@AcreHomestead Awesome!! Looking forward to it. Really enjoying your videos!!!!!
Cool and put into a container for dog treats (dogs go crazy for it) 😀
Your public library should have audiobooks you can listen to for free
Thanks!!
@@AcreHomestead you can also try over drive or Libby, you need a library card number.
I do that too while I'm working most of mine from the library.. I loved that book. A couple of suggestions, "Where the Crawdads Sing" and "All the Light We Cannot See" they're both really good. Love your videos! Just subscribed.
Just amazing and so yummy. I am 70 love to cook but got so confused about which pot went with which recipe. Had to watch this twice. Sure hope somebody else was confused. Gosh Becky you are awesome!!!!!!
Omg I thought you were food prepping for a family of like 12 lol.
Me too ! The whole time I thought ''She's smart to cook while the kids are out of the house'' XD
How many people in her household?
@@janfrandsen9371 just 2, but they both have careers on top of the homesteading and RUclips, and so they take the leftovers for work lunches.
Love all your tips! I would recommend not rinsing your pasta after draining. The starch on the pasta helps sauce stick. Pasta water is gold.
Whenever I meal prep I'm always running around the kitchen bc I like to have multiple things going as well lol
I LOVE your freezer meals. I have typically stayed away from them because they're traditionally crockpot meals. and they never turn out other than mushy! These are wonderful!!! Thank you!
Dude. Those sweet and sour meatballs are the BOMB! holy cow so good. What's more, I only dirtied 3 dishes!
Love your energy. I work full time and trying to grow as a gardener and light weight homesteader in tiny steps at a time due to two young kids as "helpers" love it.
AMAZING!!!! I am curious about the pots you are using. I love my le creuset Dutch oven, but loved the pot you used to caramelize the beef... time 19:28, as well as later the deep pot you used to make the brocolli chicken macaroni at time 26:05. I love to cook in wrought-iron as the food cooked is so tender & flavors so great. Thanks hun🙏
I might be wrong, but I think it's a Le Creuset braiser (www.lecreuset.com/cookware/braisers). :)
Yes, gotta have a Jamerrill bowl! 👍🏼🤣
Thanks!
Sorry, I just saw this! Thank you, Dana!
