    I appreciate all the detail you put out about your suspension work on the CRF250F. I'm a middle aged rider and want to get a simple air cooled trail bike, but I'm 6'3" 260 so I'm guessing I'll want these or similar suspension upgrades. Thanks!

      Thank you! Yea if you’re taller you may want to look into the front springs and the rear Clevis at least. That will raise it up a bit for you and help with the front end bottoming out! There’s a few ways to go though. But that’s just the cost effective way without throwing over 600 bucks at your suspension out the gate

    Thanks for the review. Been waiting to hear your feedback, before I pulled the trigger. I'm 6' and between 205-210.

      You’ll love it! Just compress the rear a little more than I did if you want it a hair stiffer and you will be set!

      What did you do with yours? The BBR front and rear? Or something different

    • @ironthumb3048

      @ThatGuy-771 I had a suspension shop install race tech springs front and rear. They also added air bleeders to the front forks.

      @@ironthumb3048 heck yea! I had thought about that too but wanted to go the cost effective route for everyone on this one. Maybe later I’ll go for something along those lines and do a comparison for everyone. If ya don’t mind me asking, what is the price point for both front and rear? For comparison purposes

    Hey brother, loving the channel. I'll tell you what I did with my suspension, I know that alot of people don't want to put big money into a bike like this, but I love this bike so much I didn't mind it. (I ride a 2023 YZ250f on the tracks so suspension is a big thing for me). I got a set of XR250r forks, sent them to Bruce Triplett for his Terrain Tamer setup ($$) with the Race Tech Gold valves, not to be confused with his basic rods and springs. For the rear I used the Hagon shock (I wish Vonkat would come out with a rear shock for this bike) and the Corona link. This setup is insanely plush with alot of bottoming resistance as well as adding ground clearance. Just giving you another option to think about.

      I greatly appreciate the support brother!
      That’s awesome. Yes I do plan on going a few different routes with the suspension just to give everyone things to compare for their builds as well. I don’t mind spending the money on a trail hog like this either hahah a lot of people say I’m crazy for the money already into it. But it’s awesome. I appreciate all the info! For sure gives me more to look into when I do the other suspension comparisons! I appreciate that! I’ve heard amazing things of the Hagon shock paired with the front and Race tech valves!

    Did you use the BBR rear spring that also fits the 230F? I saw it on CRFs only and hyperlite, but the description says its best for mini 4 stroke riders. Im new to the game so I might be missing something.

      @ThatGuy-771  4 месяца назад

      If I’m not mistaken it is a different part # for the 250F. It works great but it is very stiff. I’m testing a few new things as we speak for the rear because I’m only 170 and I did not get the “sag” results I wanted now that the bike is nearing completion. But I did purchase my rear spring from crfsonly.com

    I want more details on how to tune the ejk tuner. The video was confusing to me.

      @ThatGuy-771  7 месяцев назад +1

      I can release an EJK Tuner only video and go over how to dial it in as well as what each setting is. It’s going to depend greatly on your mods and elevation for the most part. I’ll try and get one out on the EJK only for y’all this weekend

    • @ThatGuy-771

      You more so float a lot better on the trails with any bump or tree limbs. I mean your going to feel stuff regardless but it’s not going to be anywhere near as rough and harsh as the stock setup.

    • @ThatGuy-771
      @ThatGuy-771  Год назад

      @@ethancook9167 yup you will really like it. The front made a HUGE difference. The rear was a big difference too in my opinion. I did the rear BBR shock, the shackle and the new linkage as well. I have 2 other videos. Suspension Part 1 is of the entire rear end and what I did. The Part 2 is the install of the front fork springs and the fork extenders. I do the full install for you as well and tell you what’s needed.
      But I LOVE what it did feel wise for the bike for the money.

    I went all out with the race tech and it was so disappointing over a grand for the custom shock and it blew up in less than 6 laps then they rebuilt it and sent it back and it blew up again three times. Total waste of money the stock shock worked better and never failed once bone stock can’t believe I blew that kind of money on that shit. Race tech fork springs with the gold emulator valves were also trash nothing special when I get the bike again I’m going all bbr springs.

    • @ThatGuy-771

      Dang bro. I hate that for you. I haven’t heard to many things about race tech that would ever make me switch. I absolutely LOVE this BBR setup and especially for the price. Heavier weight fork oil and it’s golden. Impressed the hell out of me during the last race too how it handled everything. You’ll love it if you ever decide to go that route for sure!
