    Awesome! This is the most thorough review of the 250f and the pros/cons of all the usual mods that most owners will look at doing. Thanks so much for making this video!!

    I upgraded the suspension, hyperlite skid plate and wider foot pegs on mine. It's been a great trail bike and doesn't stall in the slow tight trails but can also go fast in the open areas. I enjoy your channel. Thanks for your review

    Thanks for the video. I have most of the same mods, but a different pipe I bought from Hyperlitemoto.They have a lot of nice stuff for the bike. I also replaced the stock lead battery for a much lighter lithium one and a Renthal aluminum sprocket, 110 IRC rear tire, and a little wider IRC front tire, which helped a lot. I also bought an adjustable red anodized aluminum kickstand, from Nicecnc for a Honda XR650 l. It bolted right on and was higher and lighter.

      @ThatGuy-771  8 месяцев назад

      That’s awesome! I’m actually running the stock tires still even lol been pushing to just go ahead an upgrade to a 110 IRC as well. My rear sprocket is actually the Renthal Ultralite. Absolutely love it for getting out from a dig. What size are you running on yours??
      Love heading of other suspension mods! Especially ones that help lighten the bike up! That’s awesome.

    I just purchased a 2022 crf250f. I have the yoshi full system on order and I’ll be doing the air box mod as well as getting a 51 tooth sprocket. I’m in California, do you think the EJK will be worth it? I know you said it’s not that much a difference, but I was just wondering with all the California carb stuff, would it really open her up to be worth it? Thanks for all the videos and info. Great work.

    • @ThatGuy-771
      @ThatGuy-771  8 месяцев назад

      I appreciate you watching brother. So where at in CA? Asking for elevation purposes. The tuner will give you better throttle response. That’s about all I noticed. However I will tell you I have a video on when I did the airbox mod and had the EJK and for me it still was not enough air flow. So I did go to the full kit with the bigger filter and all because of that. But your elevation will play a factor in that too. Do you know what elevation your sitting at?

    • @liljay32
      @liljay32 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@ThatGuy-771 I’m in Northern California. Where we usually ride the elevation ranges from 650-1750 ft. Where we live, the elevation is 394 ft.

    • @ThatGuy-771
      @ThatGuy-771  8 месяцев назад

      @@liljay32 okay so your similar as me. I’m about 1,300 ft. You may experience some back firing just due to higher elevations there isn’t as much fuel consumption which leads the tuner into dumping a good bit of fuel and the exhaust burning off the excess. But opening the airbox up a good bit will help drastically and don’t overload on fuel with your first few settings. You’ll notice some throttle response difference but just play with it if you feel a good bit of backfiring or any stalling coming down from high rpm’s to low rpm’s. Took me a while to dial mine in finally

    • @liljay32
      @liljay32 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@ThatGuy-771 right on, I really appreciate the info. So it would be a good idea to get the EJK for my elevation? I just wasn’t sure if it would be a good bang for the buck. Keep them videos coming. We really enjoy them.

    • @ThatGuy-771
      @ThatGuy-771  8 месяцев назад +1

      @@liljay32 yea I would run the EJK just since your riding over 1k in elevation. The exhaust was the biggest performance difference maker but the EJK helped me run a lot smoother. I greatly appreciate it brother! We have a few big things planned for the bike I haven’t found anywhere online yet for this tank coming up. I appreciate you checking it all out!

    So you would say a yosh exhaust would make a difference even if I dont want to upgrade the airbox?

    • @ThatGuy-771
      @ThatGuy-771  4 месяца назад

      Yes. It did give a bit more spunk at lower rpm’s. It gives a lot better flow. Don’t do the airbox (It is free in some newer videos I have out) unless you plan to run a full ECU (best bet and same price as an EJK) or the EJK programmer.

    I am a previous “intermediate” woods rider, haven’t ridden in 10 years, now 53 but still very active on mountain bikes. I am wanting to get back into playful trail riding with a no frills bike, no intensions of racing but still want to tear it up from time to time. This bike seems to fit the bill for the transition but will I be craving more as my skills gradually return? Or can this be a forever bike (my hope)?

    • @ThatGuy-771
      @ThatGuy-771  8 месяцев назад +1

      I actually didn’t go to the 110 yet. That’s actually what I was mentioning you can go to and is about my last mod to do. Which I am actually about to order that setup and a new front but from others I know said it made a HUGE difference as far as just traction and bite which from the race I did… I really needed more of in the ruts.

    • @stevef8065
      @stevef8065 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@ThatGuy-771 I've been thinking about going with a 110. I have been using my CRF 250F and racing hare scrambles. The problem is traction. The trails are mostly very hard pack with very fine powder over the top and it at times feels like I'm racing on ice. I was looking for something that would give me more traction. The deep ruts are so difficult the rear end slides all over. Sometimes I feel like a clown on the bike trying not to crash. I will say this on a hare scramble course that crf250f hangs right in there with the race bikes until a long straight away or until I crash.

    • @ThatGuy-771
      @ThatGuy-771  8 месяцев назад +1

      @@stevef8065 exactly! Heck my short video I had uploaded the other day my rear end slide right out from under at the end but traction is the biggest struggle. I even run a pretty low tire pressure for the rockier areas but yea I’m races it needs a wider tire. I’ll let you know once mine comes in and give a review on it. May even change a couple other things up as well.

      So in my newer videos you will see exactly why actually. So I built the bike for XC racing as well and it does not have a race camshaft in it. 1st gear for a lot of our single track riding and hills was not really to important. I can now ride in 2nd and 3rd a majority of the time and access the power faster needed.
