Only the early TEC-9s were open bolt. but following review from the ATF, Intratec was required to convert them to closed bolt as they were deemed too easy to convert to full auto. Therefore, a vast majority of examples ever produced were closed bolt.

When is OP gonna make a "Everything wrong in my videos" video? Lots of misinformation in a lot of these videos.
And the closed bolt variants were named KG-99 after they were forced to convert all to be exported firearms.

It's a really weird spot for CS2, where the core gameplay fundamentals need to be kept and thus we have reload animations more akin to 90's shooters (where there's 1 reload for all scenarios) than today... Though it's certainly a lot more nicer now with the models.
Really wishing that they'd at least make new reload animations, though, same with inspects. Most pistols and the AUG actually block the crosshair when you reload D:
and new sounds, that will be better
They can still do it, theres plenty of time.
They don't "have" to, there are plenty of ways to modernize animations without sacrificing their gameplay aspect, Valve is just way too lazy.
@@MitsurugiRlol gabe is sleepin
Now I see a lot of people saying that the guns need new inspect animations, but do we? I prefer just holding the button down to look at the gun and inspect my skin, instead of it constantly moving like in Valorant or COD.
For the Famas, it uses 30 round mags because it's a G2 variant, you can see with the trigger guard
Then again the magwell doesn't look G2 at all, I think this is the G1 variant which doesn't accept the STANAG mag
It can fit American AR magazine
@@HighTierTree Oh yeah my bad, it's stupid, they should have modified the model to get the G2 magwell
You can see the stanag clip piece that latches into the magazine release at the back part when the uploaded views the model.
@@thevaltwoOr change the magazine model to the correct 25 round mag to make it look like FAMAS G1
While the Five-seveN now ejects bottlenecked cases, they look rifle-sized to me. Difficult to tell since there's no unzoomed view of the cases here.
Your spot on, theyre WAAAY bigger than a 5.7 casing.
Game probably only has 2 models, pistol, rifle. Still technically incorrect
Yeah they look like 7.62 or 308
That AK's sight being set to ~700m is unreal lol
The FAMAS is the G2 model (used by the french navy) which uses STANAG magazine. By the way, both full auto and burst fire modes are slower than the actual fire rate (and the safety is on).
No, the FAMAS is the G1 model, look at the magwell. The FAMAS G2 borrowed the design from the G1 but with more upgrades such as the support for STANAG mags (which can be identified by a more square magwell)
yea the g2 can go upto 1000 rpm if i remember correctly
You can clearly see the threads on AAC flash hider, so the silencer attachment is perfectly correct here.
CS:GO fans explaining why removing a guns shell casings is critical to competitive play
All valve fanboys are like that, no wonder they don't even try
I still find it so funny that, despite much of their success being based off their shooters, Valve games tend to have super inaccurate (and often silly) firearms.
Their games are about gameplay, not gun nerd representation
old cs mirrored models
Honestly it hurts way more in tf2 and half life.
@@thebigsamGameplay? You know you're talking about a game with a gameplay from the late 90's-early 00's, right? No ADS, no partial reload animations, predictable spray patterns, etc.
I know you never played it because you’d know “no ADS” is a good thing if you had
The P2000 and the Berettas have the hammers way too high, the USP's slide is clipping through the static hammer, the AKM has the sight set to 800 meters.
The Tec-9 civilian is closed bolt. Its the semi auto version.
Exactly my thought; I've heard somewhere that semi-auto conversion/build of machine pistols make them closed-bolt instead of open-bolt.
The Tec-9 was originally Open-Bolt. It was semi-automatic. But due to laws, it was converted to closed bolt due to the popularization of illegal conversions. It was originally named the Interdynamic KG-99. The company eventually renamed itself to Intratec and gun was renamed to the "Tec-9"
@@munanchoinc Due to the buyout. But the CS2 one still fires at(i think) in closed bolt semi auto.
@@memoriaz.016 oh yeah.
@@munanchoinc And i think it was the post 86 full auto weapons ban, the Tec-9 was made.
All I got to say is valve made more mistakes than corrections. Classic valve.
im starting to believe at this point valve almost always makes innacurate reload animations for their guns just to mess with gun nuts or get vids like this to further promote their already popular game. Genius
This is true for a lot of game developers, not only Valve, Trashthesda is specially bad at depicting firearms corretly, you just gotta look at the Old Earth shotgun from Starfield, it litteraly has a reverse pump
@@Ananonymousguy-nk9ojit's bethesda, what are you expect? They create non larp generic fps game so it's no big suprise
@@animq4ionboi.153indeed like Bethesda and gtav
@@eradicatormkivgamingI can forgive many errors but a reverse pump... Nah
One thing to note, closed bolt tec-9s do exist, made by interdynamics as the KG-99 but they are body wise the same as an open bolt tec-9 and often just called tec-9s, along side this there also were some post ban intratec tec-9s made to be closed bolt, similar to the closed bolt ppsh and suomis that exist in the US as well.
Just to clarify, the TEC-9 IS closed bolt. "post ban tec-9s made to be closed bolt" is a bit misleading, only the KG-9 was open bolt and they were classified as machine guns by the ATF before they were even a full year into production, which made Interdynamics change for a closed bolt and birthed the KG-99. The KG-99 was then rebranded as the TEC-9 when the company was sold. Intratec never produced any open bolt TEC-9s.
@@insurgentleman yea I realized I got confused, post ban tec 9s are KG-99s, but kg-99s were sold before the ban as well, hence the wierd pre ban post ban tec 9s, sort of like pre ban Mac 11s and post ban m11s by Mastercraft arms (I think is the company name, they make thr wierd 5.7 m11 clones and glock mag compatible clones)
I swear, Valve really just said “Screw QAing this game, we do it later.” Not just models but the game in general. It’s not unplayable but has a lot of weird bugs.
Other games like cod and battlefield put the graphics first and actual game design later whilst valve (cs team) actually designs a game first
Cs2 is buggy yes. Still fun though
At least they fix their issues. Activision with their CoD MW2 2022 still has a ton of bugs after 1 year
Imagine Valve actually caring about their games
the safety is up on the AK, no matter the circumstances, which can also be seen when equipping and reloading it, which is bread and butter error for the AK in video games
unsure of what other weapons they butchered in the game
The glock was heavily butchered as well, for what Munancho said it is a hybrid between the 17 and the 26, it's called 18 and has a burst fire mode that not a single Glock pistol has at the moment, the most similar thing is the M93 raffica wich probably was the inspiration for this mutant
Crazy how despite being a port of GO, they still went back and made all these mistakes, most or which they fixed previously.
That 30 round M4A1 mag is what you'd call "RUclips compliant"
Because 30 rounds is too much
Also for the AK, it's rear sight somehow adjusted to probably 300 to 400 meters instead of flat 50 meters
It's realistic, for the terrorists usually do not know the function of the flap
seeing that you'd have to aim at their feet in order to land a headshot with a spray, I think it's pretty accurate.
Correct mention, but slightly incorrect numbers
It is set to 700-900 meters
Dude. Высота прицела "П" соответствует прицелу "3", то есть на 300 метров.
It’s better to use akm set on 300 meters, and ak12/74 on 400 meters. Because no matter how far or close your aim will be spot on standing target. So fighter don’t have to re-adjust sights ever in combat.
@@proteus5340 yes, П, 3 or 4 are the most universal value to make corrections if target is closer or slightly far away
Wow im impressed finally somebody that actually knows that the so called "ak-47" is actually a derivate from the Akm series, it is a Akmn because of the dovetail mount and stamped receiver , Ak-47s use milled receiver, didnt use bakelite as pistol grips and neither came with ribbed magazines.
The very first AK-47s used stamped but smooth recievers, later versions of the 47 used the smooth milled recievers you know, also i'm almost completely sure that even though ribbed AK mags weren't originally a thing they are interchangable
@@Ananonymousguy-nk9oj I know You mean the ak type 1 which i think is actually a prototype of the ak thats why I didnt include it,the stamping method on ak type 1 was totally different compared to the Akm's, i didnt add that. yes all the ak mags are interchangable but I assumed that the Akmn used in CS is straight out of the factory/non modified
@@gtw1200It's used by terrorists, terrorists will use whatever they have at hand, they could even use custom mags if they need to
Ak47 is iconic though, unless ur audience is like tarkov or stalker you want that brand recognition. Making up shit like m4a4 and scar-20 (you can at least say scar-h) or still saying xm1014 instead of m1014 is weird.
@@MsZsc The Scar 20 is a real gun though. It's the DMR version of the Scar 17.
I hope they fix these problems and the other issues+a real trailer
To all saying the FAMAS is supposed to use 30 round STANAGs because it's a G2, check again. It's a G1, which uses the same magwell, and by extension, the same 25 round mags as the F1.
one i noticed right away was the ak mag finally being fixed to be the 7.62x39 mag and not the 5.45 one, it used to annoy me so much
The reload at 3:56 perfectly syncs with the music
I've also mentioned that AK rear sight is set around 700-900 meters distance to target
The hammers on the p2000 and Berettas are also placed way too high up. The pivot point should be in the frame, not the slide
on the dual berettas they actually have the correct thickness now.
The TEC-9 is by default closed bolt. It only becomes open bolt when its illegally modfied for full auto.
For what i know that's not the case, the OG TEC-9 was semi-auto but fired from an open bolt but since according to the ATF it was too easy to convert into full-auto so later models fired from a closed bolt and the remaining OG TEC-9s are now subject to the NFA along with every other gun that fires from an open bolt
Nobody going to talk about the Dualies and P2k having absolutely awfully placed hammers which look like they can't even close ?
mp7 already in Half Life 2 was ejecting straight walls, and colt 723 for a moment used to have 25 round mag in csgo
valve could really do well with the detail fidelity with the weapons, they have the means, but they not do it
6:18 its is threaded for suppressor, look to me like an aac flash hider
USP and deagle still have stuck hammers and have them down. Although USP does now have suppressor level sights
Mag 7 does eject the empty shell, but it goes down through the gun/magazine instead of to the side like it should
One thing that i haven't seen mentioned anywhere is that the barrels of some weapons look way too thin like the supressor of the M4a1-S, it feels like it's smaller than 22LR!
same with the AK, when i first saw it i thought wtf is thin barrel. also why the hell are the shotguns tiny???
The TEC-9 is only open bolt when originally designed to be full auto. The semi-auto redesign for the American civilian market is closed bolt, and that's the version the game is depicting.
The TEC-9 was never designed to be full auto, only the KG-9 was easy to illegally convert into such.
It's impossible that it was originally meant to be full auto since it would've been subject to the NFA
@insurgentleman
The basic design was as a compact SMG, but because Kelgrin couldn't find an international buyer, he modified the design to be semi-auto, closed bolt, to comply with the ATF regulations on the US consumer market.
The design was originally a full auto, open bolt, compact SMG, but was converted into a large pistol to get some return on investment. It seemed to work decently well, because after Intratec went under, Kelgrin sold the IP and tooling and used that capital to create a new company called Kel Tec.
@@Ananonymousguy-nk9oj
Hey, did you forget that foreign militaries and security contractors exist?
@@fudgerounds91 You're talking about the MP-9 and the KG-9, those aren't the TEC-9. The TEC-9 came straight out of the KG-99, which was the closed bolt version of the KG-9, meaning the TEC-9 was never "originally designed" to be full auto in contrary to what your initial comment implies. It's just a small correction, to emphasize on the distinction between the KG-9 and the KG-99 (TEC-9).
I find it hilarious how the M4A4 was set to full auto in CSGO but changed to safety in CS2, and the M4A1 was set to safety in CSGO but changed to full auto in CS2
ngl since the AUG has a 42 round mag it would be cool if it was reworked into a diet LMG to make it different from the SG556
When you're showcasing the G3SG/1 I think you perfectly synced it with the music XD
Every gun is messed up if you think about it. The reloads are not correct - if you reload when you have half-full mag. After changing mags the character still racks the charging handle.
I really could've swore I saw the mac-10 as open bolt while I was doing the inspect animation. 1:06
They have to fix the model issues *before* any skins are out using them.
New skins use a lot of tricks that expects textures in a set place that can't be easily retroactively fixed.
they wont even fix a quarter of these tbf
with how they've been fixing things it isn't out of the picture for them to actually fix these issues..
Goes without saying on the Famas, if it's a G2, it takes STANAG mags, and since it has the enclosed pistol grip, that's looking like a G2, though admittedly it looks like a hodepodge of both.
Tec9's sold on the civilian market were closed bolt, and are a shit ton more common than the earlier open bolt ones
The open bolt KG-9 didn't even make a year into production before they were classified as a machine gun and forced to change, the creator has to be REEAALLY outdated to even think the TEC-9 should have been open bolt
Valve never got the weapons right, even this time.
I really wish they would remake all the reload and inspect animations to be smoother
the Model 723's suppressor is actually accurate. the 51T flash hider directly mounts a suppressor, although the underloading of the mag is kinda wack.
It probably wouldn't be hard to model a proper 20-round mag for the 723.
moral of the story: all of CS2 and Csgo weapons are in safety mode yet you still can shoot
Given it's Valve, I'm not sure if any of these will changes besides shotguns ejecting shells. Not hating on Valve, but I just don't see them fixing any of these issues. It'd be unfortunate, but it's what we gotta ignore. We still have time and hope for them to actually fix it though.
I often wonder if the guns set on safe is some kind of inside joke
I wouldn’t be surprised if it is.
If I'm not mistaken on the galil it's A for auto as in auto loading and R for repetition as in "fully automatic"
You're mistaken, it's the opposite. A for automatic, R for "repeat" as in you have to pull the trigger again.
The Mac10 is my favorite weapon, but now it looks completely goofy, so much so that it has discouraged any desire to play.
What I gathered is: Every gun has their safety somehow broken, and the AK is using space magic since it should not fire!
i cant belive they didnt even concidered making anything about outdated and kind of clayish animations
And the animations still suck... These animations could literally be made by someone who started animating like month ago.
the tec 9 is semi auto only closed bolt. the conversion makes it a full auto open bolt
Well for me there is no new reload animation
Valve hire this guy to fix it for you.
they should just re-model all the guns so the bolts are on the wrong side, for old times sake.
Now that somebody opened the can of worms that is weapon autism, does it bother anyone else that AK's iron sights are adjusted for like 500 meters?
to be fair I dunno if most terrorists know what the flap does.
I think the game is depicting the Tec DC9 (mac 10 is probably california complient aswell), And the steyr aug is deloyed with a 42 round magazine (im not sure with the a3 tho).👍
I think none of the models changing is because skins are supposed to carry over from the Original CSGO. The Colt rifle with the suppressor should be using 20 round-sized magazines, but all the original CSGO skins were made with the 30 rounder. A lot of these skins were made by the community, and people who no longer make skins, and in some cases have passed. So instead of having to alter the skins, they kept the models the same.
I think this could also account for why the AUG still doesn't have the transparent plastic magazine, that change in material would make skins people paid money for look different.
For skins coming from CSGO, they actually use the old models from CSGO rather than the new ones from CS2. You can see this by comparing any skin to the new default models. The only skins I know that use the new models are skins made by Valve themselves like the Safari Mesh skins.
That’s just how good they are as operative even with an AK on sage they can still gun bitches down
the cocked hammers on dualies look really weird
got them 2009 L4D2 animations
cod cold war:put 30 rounds into a 20 round mag
cs2:put only 20 rounds into a 30 round mag
Lol, the clicking as the magazine is almost out of ammo... (This is the first time I've watched a Counter Strike video with audio turned on.)
The biggest problem is that they didn’t update the reload animations
When using skins on MAC-10 it will show it as open bolt, but the round will be untextured.
I heard somewhere CS2 skins uses CSGO models
also, hammer on desert eagle doesnt move when firing, and when the gun is empty, the slide goes back, but when it reloads the slide automatically goes back like tf?
This looks like the sort of stuff an indie developer would get right. How's Valve messing up on basic stuff like this?
The close-bolt Mac-10 makes me boil
Famas can use a 30-round STANAG mag, unless the issue is that in-game it only has 25 rounds. I don't remember because I haven't played CS in a long time.
The FAMAS F1 can’t accept 30 Round STANAG magazines unlike the FAMAS G2 which can. The model depicted in CS is a FAMAS F1.
4:03 i might be wrong but judging from the grip of that famas that kinda looks like a G2 variant which was designed to be fed with stanag mags
The one shown in the game is a G1. The G2 got the grip from the G1, and the G1 has the same magwell as the F1 as you can see in the game's model
It incorrectly uses 30-round STANAG magazines in its F1 magwell instead of the proper 25-round straight magazines. It's the G1
@@munanchoinc didnt look at the magwell, yes you’d be right here
Let's also not forget the biggest mistake they did with cs2 - pulling the warcraft 3 reforged stunt.
I beg all this years for them to fix the thumb of galil scout and sg552 and of course the gap while holding the scout since i am not famous i dont have a voice that galil thumb always hated it since css

I'm pretty sure the MAC-10 bolt is fixed in CS2 LTG.
Another weird thing, the Colt 723/"M4A1-S"'s charging handle is just a flat bar on some skins, while on others its the correctly(?) modeled charging handle. Wonder if there's more differences between skins and models?
Some skins still use the old, weirdly proportioned model.
old skins still use the csgo models which is why the funky charging handle is still around

No one gonna talking about dislocated hammer on the new P2000?
Glock skins like the moonrise still don't have the mag release
pretty sure the famas can use stanag mags as well although with 25 round capacity in the game it'd make sense to use the 25 round instead
Only the FAMAS G2 and later can use STANAG magazines, the F1 and G1 lack a magazine release button. The one depicted is a G1, as you can see by the large trigger guard and F1 magwell.
