Yeah when I went to LAN with him I also thought he was cheating, so I made him change his controls to inverted and made him move his mouse with his ballsack. Was still hitting shots, definitely cheating.
they are not stupid for releasing cs2 they are stupid for deleting csgo , should have been just like every old cs game leaving us the option to play on community servers
@@JohnSmith-el4ez good, there making money either way. the fundamental money maker of that game has remained the exact same in both... nothing will change allowing people to switch between. the only thing is server times might be higher or lower depending on what people are feeling to play. but It will also force valve to make updates because actually being able to compare the games between each other will be so much easier and flaws will be exposed left and right.
you can still play on the community servers, just download the csgo and choose it when you are launching the game. You can still join servers through by opening the console and writing down "connect" then the servers ip adress
I had early beta access. ATM I view it as the DEV's are taking us on a ride after release. I am going to enjoy the process. Valve did a great job transitioning all of us to CS2. I give Valve an A. I saw Valve release Casual and it was garbage (Super buggy) compared to COMP. In a blink of an eye, they released CS2 and casual ran perfect. With fixes to a couple skins and stickers. I will say the one thing I am waiting for though is an ANTI Cheat. This is the one that matters most. To help the cheaters out so they can enjoy the game.
@@theletterkei I honestly think its so more players and especially pro players can play so they can get feedback and data to make the game as good as possible for the major quals. They already cancelled one major and I really doubt they wanna go through the PR nightmare of having to cancel another one or release the game right before it starts and no pro team is actually prepared
@@jordan2104 if they had opened it for everyone right out of the gate, they probably would have received way more bug reports than they would've been able to handle at that time. so give it to a few people to find/fix major bugs, and once that's done give it to more people to find/fix smaller bugs, so on and so forth until (in theory) you have the game ironed out and ready to release. my guess is when the open beta arrived, not that many people played (and thus valve didn't receive enough feedback to keep improving the game), so they decided to "force" players into it.
in dev for 4~ years, in beta for half a year, yet: - basic things not in game like: - - left hand - - viewbobbing - - (proper) netgraph - - remove decals, - - player count instead of pictures (added 2 weeks after release) - - demo viewer - - workshop - horrible implementation of subtick (e.g. incredible peekers advantage, dying behind walls, inconsistent movement) - - said subtick was implemented because according to valve most of csgo playerbases hardware spec couldnt properly leverage 128 tick - - - game is so "unoptimized" said players can barely run cs2 to begin with - economy is not balanced for mr12 - amd users VACd for drivers - hlae VACd with -insecure - the buy menu technically being just a downgrade unless they plan on adding new guns // but whatever floats your boat, I know some people like it and there are always two sides to a coin - game is BRIGHT // not a general problem, but a lot of people (me included) claim eye strain when playing with 100% brightness I'm aware most of these are just nitpicks and will be fixed/added down the line, but they are missing nonetheless. Now, Do I disagree with what you said? No Is the game perfect? No Is the game terrible? No Is the game good? Debatable People who only see the bad in it and claim that the game is a piece of pooch-poo are just as dumdum as people who try their best to ignore the issues, claim that it's perfect and are willing to defend it with their lives. But with that said, Go has been out for 10 years, they had a decade to learn from everything GO got right and wrong. Defending the game by saying that Go had a just as bad- if not -worse launch is just wrong. I think valve simply "98 in 4"-d themselves in the foot by saying it would release in the summer. I'll be honest, I didn't play the beta, didn't want to nor cared enough to, so I have no idea what was going on back then but half a year of beta and the game launching with the subtick system being in such a weird state is just... weird. @@Scyborg832 First impressions unfortunately matter. 62% is not even rock bottom since 30d has not yet passed. Just like with CSGO it will take YEARS again to regain approval. Valve clearly dislikes casual players. The message from Valve is clear: cs2 is now exclusively for skin market and esport.
@@xtwmx A competitive game being tailored for competitive play? Say it isn't so! How do you even play CS casually? By ruining other players matches in comp by not trying? This game isn't FOR you that much is true. And that's alright. CS hasn't been casual for over a decade now and that's okay. There's lots more for you to play that's "casual". CS isn't one of them and shouldn't BE one of them. Play something else. CSGO had a clear separation between them without any community servers even needed. It obviously can do both as it always was a game for everybody. If Valve cannot replace csgo then it should not have removed the game and kept it for casuals without skins at least. I don't care at all about your competitive scene or the skins market. yeah, IMO valve kinda fucked themselves over with the "coming summer 2023", when this really should be a public beta, i've been looking back at footage from CS:GO's release and it's quite similar to where we are now
@@StillConfusing True, except you can't see it as a standalone game, at the CS:GO release the servers for Source weren't shut down and for Source, not those of 1.6 - means you have to compare it to CS:GO 2023 not 2012, cause its only an 'update' and against that, it's a disaster!
My main issues with cs2 are the missing console commands it’s weird how they haven’t released a proper net graph and the cl_bob commands yet, but overall great video
They should never have announced it in April, they should have worked with pros completely in the dark, like NDA in the dark, in regards to movement, shooting, tickrate, etc. then maybe announce the game close to now. I believe Paris had something to do with the release schedule and it’s sad that we got a slightly undercooked game, but Valve is working on it and we will eventually love this game just like we did GO. As long as Valve fix hit reg, cheaters, movement, and tickrate then we should be fine.
I don't think working in the dark w/ pros would've been the better option. Keep in mind pros have top-tier setups and gear, while casual players, which make up a big part of CS' player-base, have gear ranging from potatoes ran on wind-mill power to extreme NASA computers. I liked the open beta (despite me selling my ruby daggers 3 days before they announced it and therefore lost a couple thousands of $) because it gave valve responses from the broader audience and not just the best of the best. Sure you can criticise valve for TONS of things, and there are many things they could've done better, but announcing the beta early and giving access to a great variety of players and PC's, is not one of those things. I'm opportunistic about the future of CS2 and i'm extremely excited about the possibilities the new engine creates.
yeah, can't rely on pros all that much. they're only a small fraction of the actual playerbase and cs isn't just competitive sweating, it's a lot more than that as there so many sub-communities to the game
they announced it april because they needed people to test the game, people tested the game more bugs and issues were found, valve didn't have to fix all of them and the release was rushed
@@hi_its_jerry casuals don’t understand counter-strike enough to see anything wrong with the mechanics in CS2. I see a lot of random defense of the bugs and inconsistencies in the game by players that probably can’t understand the problems right underneath the surface.
@@ceeeya I say pros should have tested the game because IEM Sydney was a disaster in terms of the game functioning as intended. There are several clips from the major where we see bugs and inconsistencies that would never have happened in CSGO. Shots landed when they shouldn’t have, kills happened that shouldn’t have (someone was one tapped in grand finals with full helmet from long on Ancient by a Tec-9) etc. We need to hold valve to a higher standard than content mediocrity by laying down the problems in a fair and orderly fashion to Valve so that they may be fixed.
I’m no where duck riding valve, and the current states of CS2 is not even feel like a release-ready product, but I have to agree with this video, ur words will wake people up for CS2, it needed to be said since the week one of release.
-25% player base. not our fault we can't run the game at competitive levels. they could have made it with that in mind, but they chose to add a little reflection and some cute graffitis here and there instead. to make it look pretty, depsite everyone running it on low settings anyway🤦

I believe that the say "Yo bro the game will be good in 2 years" doesn't excuse the absolute dogshit release of an unpolished game, movement, sounds sprays and the awp are all different in a bad way makes much of what you grinded for useless imo.
9:54 the hitboxes were already fixed quite a while ago and the subtick "bug" has been actually explained. When you shoot, the change is applied after each tick. That's why sometimes it might seem like your shot went somewhere else than your crosshair is. The game remembers when you actually pressed your mouse button and applies that shot on the next tick, so if you shoot in between ticks, the server is basically showing you your past. If this is a good or bad thing is debatable, I recommend watching some RECENT videos and make your own opinion. Subtick kind of reduces consistency since now your shots are precisely at the moment when you pressed your mouse button and not locked to ticks. Edit: There were ways to lock your shots and movement to ticks as shown in the video, only Valve knows what they will do about that. The subtick system needs a lot of polishing. Great video by the way. 10/10

Your take that Cs2 releasing in its current state is better than being delayed because "people would be mad" makes no sense. Almost everyone who is complaining about non performance issues is saying they wished it was still in beta cause its not release ready. The fact that he just skips over that point to say. "There is a hypothetical universe in which if valve waited to release the game when it was ready, people would be even more mad". How do you know? Almost every annouced valve game ever has been delayed. Ur just assuming things. What we do know now is that alot of people are mad that the game is bad, and was not release ready. Hell, the best CSGO player IN THE WORLD, thinks the game is unplayable. But fuck them right? Cause valve needed to hit their release day.
I was there in the CSGO beta and it's all true. Everyone hated everything. The recoil was impossible to control because the screenshake didn't telegraph the next bullet like in CS 1.6. Then we figured out that it was the same all the time and you could just memorize it, and then everyone hated how memorizing the recoil took away the skill out of controlling it and got away with the decisions of how to shoot in each situation because the answer to every fight was spraying. Funny thing is, now that CS has competition inspired by CS1.6, the same players defend memorizable recoil as the pinnacle of shooting skill.
@@Gadottinho Literally any mid tier processor from 2014 and forward will run cs2 just fine. GPU is where you need to watch out but what are you doing trying to run a extremely competetive game with anciet or garbage tier hardware. Technology and games will move forward despite you. They can not stay and wait. Valve should try and optimize to the best of their ability but Source 2 is S2. We are not going back to 20 year old technology.
i wanted source 2 to release too but i never thought that they will replace it with csgo i always thought that its just gonna be a whole different game i honestly miss it just because it was a casual game to play with friends did some montages on it mainly the only thing i liked about it is movement and honestly i got no issues with the game as long as they fixed the movement anyways RIP csgo it is what it is
You're actually somewhat wrong about the optimization of Source 2, and while I agree it isn't made for dinosaur PC's, the entire original point of developing it and it releasing with Half-Life: Alyx was so that the source engine took proper use of "modern" hardware, which is basically anything past pc's that existed in 2004, such as utilizing your full CPU's cores and threads, RAM, VRAM, etc. It verifiably runs even slower than CS:GO did, I used to get over 300 fps on most maps, yet brand new ones that barely look any better start off around 120-140, and quickly dip into the low 40's and high 30's for no apparent reason mid-match. It's a downgrade in every respect, despite the fact that HL:A runs absolutely flawlessly while vastly increasing graphical fidelity, and in VR even has to render 2 of the exact same scene, making it's performance even more impressive. It's not Valve's typical polish, and it is valid criticism.
I honestly only agree somewhat with what you're saying, yes CS2 isn't as good as CSGO and that's completely understandable since it just came out but not all of the hate that revolves around CS2 is particular to the game itself, I'm talking about Valve and the decisions they've made, just because CSGO had issues on launch a decade ago does not mean it's fine if CS2 comes out as an unfinished game and as a replacement of the superior version given that people paid money for that game though I understand why they did it. Not giving everyone Beta access from the very beginning but instead giving it to people who rarely play or don't have any hours, streamers who milk it for content of course who were supportive of the game because they made money off of it but now they're complaining as well. Then you have a Valve Developer telling you to cap the game at 120fps while claiming it is not his issue to find out why there are performance issues, while he took back what he said it still makes you wonder why someone would say that. Hardcoding 64 tick into the game which is another issue and also removing GOTV-Spectate along with Overwatch, I can't even be certain if someone is cheating now, also I can imagine why people still complain about the Michael Jackson peek because while they claimed it was patched yet there were still instances of it happening. You can't even compare CS2 to CSGO as you'd compare CSGO to 1.6 because in this current sequel half of the content is missing from its predecessor but I do agree that they've also made improvements from CSGO, workshop maps which is what made Counterstrike great as well, KZ, Surf, Retake servers can still be found but there isn't even a community server browser that works, you have to manually search it up on google which just sucks. You using IEM Sydney as an example is also not really great since they're playing on LAN with no delay, some of the pros clearly stated that the game is more enjoyable on lan but still has its flaws while it's horrible to play online. I'm a player that doesn't hate just to hate and completely understands if someone likes CS2 and enjoys it but I feel like getting fucked over by a multi-billion dollar company that runs all over its consumers and doesn't seem to care since they're making hundreds of millions in cases with this unfinished game in a month. Also to add the lack of transparency Valve has with the community is giving a lot of people a headache, if they could at the very least tell us what they're working on or what their thought process behind some of the changes I'd be happier. I could add a lot more things as to why I'm disappointed but I've written enough, I do think this game can be greater than CSGO but some of the hate Valve is getting is deserved.
For me the problem is that CS:GO is just... not there anymore. I am all for an update to a classic series. This is enough of a negative for me to dislike it as a whole. It may seem like a small thing but they also removed achievements, but for me and probably alot of other people that was huge. I took pride in having alot of achievements, it gave me another awesome goal to go for. Now all my achievements are nowhere to be found and it hurts because I remember the feeling I would get when I got a new achievement, a visual representation of my progress. Thats just one small thing but its a big thing for me. I cannot speak on the content of the update because I have not played it, so I won't. I would also say that the new graphics hinder my computer, but as I said I havent played it since the update. Regardless I shouldn't have to worry about wether or not the game I have spent 600 hours in (I am 15 years old, this is a very very large number in my overall playtime) is even playable anymore. CS:GO was and is a historical game at this point and I really really hope that its brought back somehow because its a very integral part of gaming as a whole. The influence it has had is immense and to pave over something like that feels wrong. The problem I recognize with this is that CS2 doesnt have much to differ it from its original leaving it to be a lackluster separate game. But in turn it makes for a damn bad decision to be an update. If it is hard to tell, I am a bit mad. Just frustrated that they would even change it from CS:GO to CS2 and removing CS:GO entirely, it is baffling.
I honestly 100% agree on this. In my experience of playing CS2 I didn't notice any issues (see edit), but I see a lot of people complain about the same things. It is just the beginning and things are going to get better from here, I'm really enjoying CS2 so far. Great video! Edit: It is worth noting that I play MAX 3 hours of CS2 a week, so it might not be enough for me to see issues with the game, but as a casual player, my experience is great.
theres definitely a desync issue of you and the enemy not being 1:1 of whats actually going on. but this issue existed in csgo it's not even a cs2 thing. people are only noticing this just now i swear. the way tick rate works is the developer decides which action get prioritized and im guessing movement comes after someone firing a shot. this will never get fixed because computers use a binary system. in real life binaries can happen simultaneously.. even binaries become binaries.
Counterstrike 2 actually made me start playing again. I believe it is the future of counterstrike and it's bright. Valve just needs to fix the sub-tick issue and the servers. I have died multiple times after I peeked and quite literally gone far into cover. It's like ghost bullets and I don't have packet loss. It's not a big issue with rifles but with the awp it is game breaking.
@@ren2cozy The community has been demanding 128 tick for half a decade and valve gets around that by developing subtick just to keep their servers running on 64 tick, you can be 100% sure that at the latest after they hardcode the game to 64 tick there is no way to change that anymore! Btw.: BattleBit has 256 tick servers in 2023... :)

CS2 is my first Counter Strike and I’m loving it… it may because I’ve never played the older ones but I think the game is fun and the people in game are fun (sometimes)
My hot take: - CS player simply dislike change: if they not use to it, they complain, if it's broken, valve will fix it, if it's not, pro-scene will prove it's OK since it match the "competitive scene" and everyone accept these change. - CS2 is necessary if Counter-strike fan want the game to survive and evolve: CSGO engine is too old and hard to develop in long term, it have been shown how troublesome every time valve update the game by programming new layer upon other since the game wasn't very structure to begin with. - CS2 feel less of an issue compare to other counter strike step up (from 1.6 to source, and from both of these to GO): CS2 is build as the intention as an upgrade version of GO, which mean it will try to retain the most mechanic, rather then completely create a new game. So people when move from GO to CS2 can get use to them very quickly, unlike how 1.6, source and GO feel completely different (i wasn't start with 1.6 and when people trash GO by say it's not same as 1.6, i try to play it and it feel unplayable). This is also why i feel it's much acceptable when deleting CS:GO, because if both of the game exist, it will overlap on each other (playerbase, skin have to migrate between game, tournament difference) - CS2 will have to suffer player loss, but this wasn't entirely because of gameplay, we have to look on the variety when playing CSGO: CS:GO doesn't only have competitive player, there are casual player, modder, map designer,..etc... Since CS2 wasn't fully implement these function yet, the majority when test CS2 only join to play competitive, and it's lack that casual feeling, since a major base player only play CS:GO for community server - Subtick is not good but it's not that terrible, specially when we look them on mechanic aspect and the idea it could playout: tickrate was a limitation counterstrike suffer, and competitor will base on this limitation to pull player base on their game simply by provide bigger number (i.e: valorant with their 128 tick). It was also due to CS:GO that most people care about tickrate in the first place, if you went to any fps shooter, they most likely will shoot and said it was good, but for CS:GO, this become an obssession. Subtick idea aim to process between tick without require more server hardware, which is a perfect world idea and give a better solution by simply increase the number. - The graphics is one of the aspect that just blow CS:GO away, hardware need to upgrade, but it's not that bad: a lot people compare CS2 to valorant, simply because it look brighter to CSGO and i'm gonna be honest, GO look dogshit and a lot of time i couldn't even see the enemy because some of the corner is too dark and i have feel this less of an issue when move to CS2, nomore those i could't kill them because i don't see them. About the graphic requirement, the game looks better so it have to require more, but it's also different requirement compare to GO, most of the low end player who play CSGO use only CPU with intergrated graphic and they could ran the game at 100FPS. For CS2 if they keep the same the frame will drop heavily, but for player have GPU, it is not that impact since CS2 require more GPU power now, so having a GPU even for a low-end type is OK and if people complain about that, they should really upgrade their PC. Also the game run with lower frame compare to CS:GO, but it's really stable on most situation, there will be time when sudden frame drop like when throwing smoke, but when you move around the map, FPS doesn't jump every where like in CSGO, and a 50fps loss doesn't make you feel like a slowpoke. - Biggest criticise is valve release the game too early, before it match the suitable competitive play: for dota 2, the transition between two engine feel less suttle and better plan than CS:GO, valve should have give it more time before release, the release of CS2 was feel rush and people didn't like it. However they also provide the quickest update of the game (which never even happen on CS:GO), and we should at least appretiate it.
The only complaint I have is the matchmaking system. Me and my friends are getting matched with really experienced players that are way better than us so matches aren't fun at all
No one asked for arms race, scoutsman, dangerzone, r_drawothermodels and godmode to be removed yet herr we are.. With a package of bad optimization and imo ugly artstyle
Perfectly said, although its expected that the public tend to polarize on issues rather than having a constructive dialogues on how to progress, some of these unwarranted outcries are getting ridiculous. Rather than seeing the game for what it is and understand the process, idiots would rather throw the whole game under the bus and make the most ridiculous comments that are in no way constructive or helpful. A lot of older players with more hours seem to have more patience for the game as they have experienced the same process before, and it’s a certainty in their mind that the game will progress and be better than CSGO in the long run. Haters tend to be the loudest of the bunch, but the truth remains that CS will never die. And CS will continue to be the greatest FPS of all time.
You missed one thing. Valve games were popular for being accessible, I could run tf2 on a smart fridge hooked to a toaster. Same with most half life games as well as cs 1.6-go.
I completely agree, but valve games are where a lot of people with low end hardware look to when they cant run games with these progressed requirements. @@paulshizzledizzle6180
thanks for being a voice of reason. cs2 feels very similar to any other cs in my opinion and i know this because i was there in the beta 1999. i felt the changes between 1.3 and 1.4 i felt the changes between 1.6 and source. source to csgo and now csgo to cs2. csgo to cs2 is by far the most similar. i see pros complain about bunnyhopping being bad but it feels exactly the same to me. people that want the same game over and over without changes are people that are dying and they'll be left behind with time. time does not care about your morals, opinions, or any of your individual nonsense. cs2 has issues just like any other game. imagine they released cs beta in 2023 lmao imagine they released 1.6 but with 2023 graphics even without the bugs people would hate it.
True. It is an upgrade that you cannot jump from silo to main roof without getting stuck on an invisible wall and falling behind main taking 50 dmg every single time. A game where you can't even jump, counterstrafe or shoot consistently and Valve decides to fix it by removing the fix the community found for it. Also after getting a kill there is a 80ms delay before the enemy dies with 0 ping. I could keep going. It will most likely get better but imagine calling it good when it's objectively shit. Makes it extremely funny when a 2023 game is more broken than original CS.
If you actually played 1.3 and 1.4 and played after that as well you either suck at the game tbh or there is something wrong with you, movement and shooting and the foundation of counter strike and both are fucked atm. subtick and strafing and the biggest thing good people notice and it's horrible. The solution is slope 64 tick hardcoded (the most stupid thing ever btw) and bring 128 tick servers.
@@klever891 look at your comment bro it's only complaints lmao!! "look at me i don't know how to properly move and do things correctly because the game is a tiny bit different" absolute noob.
Bunnyhopping is different. Its the first thing I noticed when I opened cs2 first time and walked around on empty dust2 on a local server. Movement is also slightly different, they changed something about the acceleration and friction compared to csgo. Its very slight but noticeable.
@@klever891The subtick thing if properly implemented is fine. A lot of other FPS games use a similar system. Reflex (the arena shooter) is a good example of how to do this right. There are videos about their hitreg system on youtube that you can watch. The issue isnt the subtick idea, the issue is that valve are bad at programming and implemented it with some issues. And removed the option for 3rd parties to use 128 tick which is just stupid. But I can tell you that subtick is miles better than 64 tick without it. Shots are way more accurate while you are moving your mouse quickly. Remember most of the playerbase plays on valve 64 tick servers so its a big upgrade for most people. Even on 128 tick faceit I often had issues with shots not landing where I clicked when flicking fast because I play high sens, and this is actually one of the main reasons high sensitivity is so impopular in cs compared to any other shooter. I would be curious to see what 128 tick with subtick would feel like.
Honestly apart from the abysmall performance I got with high end hardware (tons of stutters, graphical glitches), the straw which broke the camel's back for me was that they removed the left hand viewmodel command. Gonna check back in a few months, hopefully eventually they'll fix it.
@@StarComet7 nah man I have everything up to date, game performance was simply abysmall at least for AMD GPU users. I'm actually enjoying CS2 more than I was the last two years of CS:GO and I played CS:GO for seven years. I was reaching a point in which I was absolutely bored of CS:GO. It felt like the meta was always the same. Every game felt the same and because of how dark it was, it often felt gloomy after losing matches ( hell, even winning matches felt meh sometimes ). I've noticed the increased brightness makes me feel better. I'm also excited because a lot of guns and stickers are better in CS2 and the investing opportunity is great. The new smokes add a new dimension to the game that makes it feel more dynamic and strategic, which is why I loved CS:GO in the first place.
Idk what everyone is whining about, I love CS2 and makes me excited for the future of CS. Having a good codebase can do wonders for development, shocking.
In my opinion, it is a good thing they removed CSGO and forced everyone to play CS2. No one would have played CS2 for some time, and everyone would complain (while not actually doing anything to help test it). Valve is a very small company employee-wise, and they can't test every single edge case. If you still want to play csgo, play community servers with your friends
CS:GO has been released for a bit more than 11 years and instead of taking the good parts about CS:GO and incoperate them into CS2, they've actually removed a big portion of it and decided to make new, and in Valve's eyes, "better changes". 11 years of progress in a game right down the drain basically. Let's also not forget that when CS:GO was about to get released, that Valve turned to all the pro's and community and wanted their input on what to improve within the game itself. Once they had a stable playerbase and the game was up and running, they basically didn't care anymore at all about asking about ppl's inputs. The changes Valve mad throughout the years regarding changing the footsteps-sound, the weapon-sounds, taking them ages to fix the hitbox etc etc. shows that they really have no f*cking clue what they're on about and that they're focusing on the completely wrong things. The problem with CS2 is exactly the same, so it's basically 11 years of progress down the drain and now they think they know what the community wants whilst having zero clue. Also, imagine being a completely fresh CS2 player, e.g. coming from Valorant, Call of duty, Apex.. you name it.. and the first thing you get to encounter is cheaters within the first few games you're playing, IN A BRAND NEW GAME as well. Valve losing a portion of their playerbase due to the game not being finished apparantly isn't enough, cuz they obviously want to lose players due to cheaters as well. So, what exactly is so good about this game then? I can't really say too much positive about the game itself, cuz the only way you're able to have fun in this game is if you create the "fun-experience" yourself by playing as a 5-stack etc. It's sad, just sad.
Dude csgo in it’s latest state was still a massive shitshow. A downgrade to any other game ive played in the past 10-15 years with 100 hours put in just to make sure. Unplayable. Cs2 in its “awful” state now is legitimately the best feeling and performing esports title ive ever played. Immediately dropped my immortal valorant ranked and have been playing at 15k elo premier. Great video man, been playing csgo since 2014 and idk I’m still enjoying playing cs2. Thanks to the new look of the game I’ve been able to convince a lot of my friends that would never have touched csgo due to the graphics to hop on and have some fun. Can’t wait to watch cs2 flourish ❤

The problem on cs2 is the gameplay, everything has changed and I no longer feel like playing counter strike but a failure. hitboxes, subtick (horrible), fps issues and boredom.
Enjoy the freshness and bugs/randomness while it lasts, everyone will be looking back reminiscing about cs2’s release once the games ironed out and extremely consistent.
Nobody is gonna reminisce about broken hitboxes, missing features, bugs that make the game unplayable, shittier movement feel. The only thing that anyone is gonna reminisce, is the funny bugs like the michael jackson peek, the twerking animation, and the funny shakira walk. That's literally it, and as much as I love those stupid bugs, i think everyone can agree, picking between a broken game with stupid funny bugs and an ironed out consistent playable game with no funny bugs, it's an easy choice to decide between given that we're left without csgo now

Bro it's missing so many features wdym, and I don't know if I need to reupload any of my old maps, that's going to be a chore rerendering them, especially reflective surfaces. If you play the game competitively, then everything you want is in the game because that's all you want out of it. There's no community servers, or extra game modes (believe me I don't just want to play competitive mode).
Yeah, I also understand the large majority of CS is competitive, and Valve was prioritising that, but even then they rushed the core gameplay, there are glitches that should not be in a final product period, and the unfortunate lack of tick rate update, shits rough. I don't think many people would have mind if they spent more time to just work on the product for release, especially around the edges, added more content and gave all of the fans from community servers, competitive, workshop, whatever niche, a more final and noticeable upgrade to CS:GO that the dedicated fans deserved.@@LostRams
@@retr00000 I'm sorry to hear that man, but you can do more than complain. When I have similar issues I seek out a solution or ask around for advice. Do not wait for Valve to solve for this soon, as many users can play without crashes. I wish you good luck finding a solution.

5:16 this point about GO vs CS2 is very flawed imo. yea the points are similar but CS2 is a fully released game based off of GO where shit like the michael jackson peeks shouldnt even be happening in a SKILL based game. and lets not forget that when GO came out, it was in an absolutely horrific state. not to mention past shit like cl_righthand and various other console commands are just gone on release. and with people getting banned for putting in a console command or setting their DPI super high gets them VAC BANNED, this game is clearly in a very rough state and i hope it gets better; its just rn its very, *very* rough for CS2
my problem with cs2 isn't that its bad, its that its unfinished. csgo felt complete and after playing for nearly 6000 hours I felt I've mastered the game mechanics and was starting my journey into pro cs but then cs2 comes out and most of the settings I've become used to are just gone. and the subtick system feels really bad. and the bugs make the game feel unfair which is one of the main reasons i love counterstrike in the first place, the fairness. not to mention the lack of community servers.
thanks for saying what had to be said, proper voice of reason. valve is one of the few remaining companies who knows how to cook a long term game and i trust them on the process.
We begged for Source 2. We hoped for a flawless release. I think the biggest issue is that people forget what CS releases really looked like. 1.0 required updates, Source required updates, Condition Zero required... well, a complete overhaul it never got, and GO required nearly a decade to dial it in fully. Sorrynotsorry, but 2 was never going to be a flawless release. Stay mad, but keep playing and providing feedback to Valve.

People do tend to forget just how bad csgo was at release. I think they should have kept csgo and cs2 rolling along side each other for a little while though. Have a sort of long open beta for cs2.
I agree they could have ran CSGO and CS2 side by side a little while longer but it wasn't needed. I had early beta access, I experienced what happened. Valve finished Premier and COMP first and could not release CS2 because Casual is the base of the game. 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, and Source. It was all about PUBing (casual.) Scrimming (Comp) wasnt really a big thing During CS2 Beta casual was garbage. (super buggy) In a blink of an eye, Valve released CS2. Casual was running perfect with a some skins fixes. So release was perfect timing Truth is Valve could have released it earlier if they would have completed CASUAL first. Which is the base of the game. Valve gets an A+ for going above and beyond. CS2 released with Casual, Premier and COMP. Realistically, Casual was the minimum requirement. Sort of, CSGO changed things. CS2 release was solid. We miss things like aimbotz, War games, KZ, surfing and so forth but its what ever. Those things are just extra credit. Anti cheat, that is an assignment, final or a mid term. IMO Valve needs to help the cheaters out so they can enjoy the game
im not surprised valve mostly ignores the community unless its big issues, because CS players have the worst takes known to man most clips i see online about "netcode issues" are literal skill issues
My friend, you are talking about people, that cant play because of hardware, ill tell you this. My setup 5k euro pc: Rog strix 4090 i9-12900k 128gb ram 3600 980 2 tb h150 cooling hybrid 6 fans Pc that can litteralu run anything perfectly except for cs2... 550 euro benq 240hz screen Fps jumps from 450 - 35 fps, You think that the hardware is the problem? think again, its the desine of the "Esports Ready" game. When in menu gpu works for 80-95% you go in game gpu use drops to 25-35% dropping the fps by 200. Locking on 240 fps doesnt work because fps drops lower then 240 too often so it has no use to have a 240 hz monitor. Try playing an fps game with those drops competitivly. And to make it worse they introduce sub-tick, wich is basicly a backtrack + randomiser. There are people who compared +attack comand and default spray, to come to the conclusion that the spray doesnt only feel off, it actually is random because of subtick, it doesnt shoot the bullet at the same frequency but at different times, for example 1 bullet is 0.2 ms secobd 0.2, third 0.4, 4th 0.3 and so on. what makes it impossible to actually control the spray decently and why you wiff sprays completely sometimes. Because your mouse is allready furter in the spray then the actual bullets fired. This game is shit and not ready for release at all. And the cheaters and bad anticheat doesnt help this game at all.Only seen vac life with streamers/pros, havent encoutered 1 myself in the 200 games played, and trust me there were blatant cheaters. And no im not a silver who thinks everyone is cheating, im fc lvl 8 csgo supreme/global.

my guess is when the open beta arrived, not that many people played (and thus valve didn't receive enough feedback to keep improving the game), so they decided to "force" players into it.
Valve is not an Indie Game Company. They have no excuse for releasing this pos in its current state
in dev for 4~ years, in beta for half a year, yet:
- basic things not in game like:
- - left hand
- - viewbobbing
- - (proper) netgraph
- - remove decals,
- - player count instead of pictures (added 2 weeks after release)
- - demo viewer
- - workshop
- horrible implementation of subtick (e.g. incredible peekers advantage, dying behind walls, inconsistent movement)
- - said subtick was implemented because according to valve most of csgo playerbases hardware spec couldnt properly leverage 128 tick
- - - game is so "unoptimized" said players can barely run cs2 to begin with
- economy is not balanced for mr12
- amd users VACd for drivers
- hlae VACd with -insecure
- the buy menu technically being just a downgrade unless they plan on adding new guns // but whatever floats your boat, I know some people like it and there are always two sides to a coin
- game is BRIGHT // not a general problem, but a lot of people (me included) claim eye strain when playing with 100% brightness

I'll be honest, I didn't play the beta, didn't want to nor cared enough to, so I have no idea what was going on back then but half a year of beta and the game launching with the subtick system being in such a weird state is just... weird.

I did notice issues, sometimes annoying, but most are not as bad as people make them out to be. They will be ironed out sooner or later.

LOL
hahahahaha delusional
I would have agreed if it was a separate game, but it is not.
These highlights in the background go hard bro
CS2 is my first Counter Strike and I’m loving it… it may because I’ve never played the older ones but I think the game is fun and the people in game are fun (sometimes)
My hot take:
- CS player simply dislike change: if they not use to it, they complain, if it's broken, valve will fix it, if it's not, pro-scene will prove it's OK since it match the "competitive scene" and everyone accept these change.
This is also why i feel it's much acceptable when deleting CS:GO, because if both of the game exist, it will overlap on each other (playerbase, skin have to migrate between game, tournament difference)
- CS2 will have to suffer player loss, but this wasn't entirely because of gameplay, we have to look on the variety when playing CSGO: CS:GO doesn't only have competitive player, there are casual player, modder, map designer,..etc... Since CS2 wasn't fully implement these function yet, the majority when test CS2 only join to play competitive, and it's lack that casual feeling, since a major base player only play CS:GO for community server
- Subtick is not good but it's not that terrible, specially when we look them on mechanic aspect and the idea it could playout: tickrate was a limitation counterstrike suffer, and competitor will base on this limitation to pull player base on their game simply by provide bigger number (i.e: valorant with their 128 tick).

1 thing I'm sure about players wanted cs2 asap was due to VAC LIVE. Most players wished for that.
You missed one thing. Valve games were popular for being accessible, I could run tf2 on a smart fridge hooked to a toaster. Same with most half life games as well as cs 1.6-go.
It's still super accessible. Intel Gen 3 is a great red line. It's like windows, a person cant stay on windows 7 or XP forever
It's like a person using dial up modem for internet. A person cant do that now a days. Things have to progress
Nobody bothers to speak anymore. That my biggest grief. Too many fucking casuals.
Honestly apart from the abysmall performance I got with high end hardware (tons of stutters, graphical glitches), the straw which broke the camel's back for me was that they removed the left hand viewmodel command. Gonna check back in a few months, hopefully eventually they'll fix it.

Ah yes, if you don’t have a great computer, that means competitive gaming isn’t for you. What an amazing take
A person doesnt need a great computer. An intel Gen 3 in a great line. It's kind of like windows 7. Cant stay on it forever
@@paulshizzledizzle6180 That doesn't really affect my point

Csgo felt complete because it had a long ass history, cs2 has just been released
git gud
Honestly, its refreshing to hear a sane take on the entire thing. Sure the game is not in a perfect state atm but boy are people crying.
thanks for saying what had to be said, proper voice of reason.
valve is one of the few remaining companies who knows how to cook a long term game and i trust them on the process.
so true goys 10 more years!!!!
Lmao what’s. Fucking cope. Half life Alex was almost 10 years. All these dead games valve has made are forgotten just as quickly as they were made.
Stay mad, but keep playing and providing feedback to Valve.
ah ha, no wonder, valve paid bot and a woke bot on twitter who can't stand objective facts being said.
Really makes this whole video even funnier doesnt it
weirdo
@@theletterkei spewing the same word over and over again wont make it come true.
the video im currently making is crticizing the game opposite of this video so what're you gonna say now?
@@theletterkei that ur a hypocrite and u dont stand for your words you so much wanted to convince people were "objective". another valve pr stunt.
plus you won't actually be criticizing the game at all. it will be another one of those nothingburgers containing "ooh but the anticheat, oooh but the premiere system" that will completely not look into actual problems with the game and why valve isn't treating it the way they should, for instance, with soul. lol.
enjoy making your nothingburger. no one will be watching.
@@Nelex5000you're right
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO WE NEED MORE PPL LIKE YOU!!!!
You and 3kliksphillip are those rare people who still have positivity and fate into this game. May you get success in the future letter kei.
positivity ? XD yeah positivity to an unfinished game released as finished game NICE
you didn't watch the whole vid dw@@fvs666
@@fvs666 Thanks for proving his point that the endless bitchers provide nothing for the game lil bro
That's not true, the video by 3kliksphillip was unfortunately, just like this video here, simply bad. You can't compare a 10 year old game to a 2023 release, at the same time their only argument is, yes it's bad, but it might get better in the future. Most players haven't given up hope, but that doesn't change the current state the game is in and what the community is rightly upset about...
@@M-A-R-C-E-LL-Oo The mental gymnastics behind skipping every point someone makes, dumbing it down to your single interpretation and thinking it's other peoples fault lmao. You can be critical, annoyed, mad or furious about the state of the game but just as this video (and comments like yours) prove any sense of rationality is too exhausting for 90% of the people bitching while never providing any form of information about their rigs and solely basing their complaints around buzzwords they don't understand regarding the engine 💀💀
Good that you brought up the reactions people are having about CS2 compared to the reaction people had to CSGO when it was released! It's basically all the same.
Great video my exact thoughts, glad someone was able to put it all together for me to share. People love to hate.
Games is unstable af. Hardware def enough on my end but it still crashes. Only game that crashes too so hmm, I wonder where the issue lies
i have only been playing cs since like late 2017 and i am so happy we got cs2. yes, it has some problems but overall i am really happy with what we got so far. i know it feels a bit different, but i dont think that’s gonna be a long term issue, we will get used to it. all these silvers trash talking cs2 because everyone else is doing it is just absolutely insane to me
i bet you are the one use SMG run like crazy dog
The game literally has less content than cs:go
People do tend to forget just how bad csgo was at release. I think they should have kept csgo and cs2 rolling along side each other for a little while though. Have a sort of long open beta for cs2.
I agree. BUt it is 2023, not 2013. Games shouldnt be underdeveloped these days.
@@asnd..8349 if anything games tend to be more underdeveloped these days.
It was all about PUBing (casual.) Scrimming (Comp) wasnt really a big thing
During CS2 Beta casual was garbage. (super buggy) In a blink of an eye, Valve released CS2. Casual was running perfect with a some skins fixes. So release was perfect timing
Truth is Valve could have released it earlier if they would have completed CASUAL first.
IMO
Valve needs to help the cheaters out so they can enjoy the game
@@MrGalactus95 Agreed
@@asnd..8349 its underdeveloped because everyone was begging for it to be released lol.
im not surprised valve mostly ignores the community unless its big issues, because CS players have the worst takes known to man
most clips i see online about "netcode issues" are literal skill issues
THANK YOU BRO
CS2 ain't perfect, but the way a large part of the community is reacting is very, very childish and hypocritical
Hypocritical how? I get timeouts every game because my teammates games crash randomly, how much have you really played cs2?
@@lukullberg955 I'm not calling specifically calling you hypocritical bro, chill
My friend, you are talking about people, that cant play because of hardware, ill tell you this.
My setup 5k euro pc:
Rog strix 4090
i9-12900k
128gb ram 3600
980 2 tb
h150 cooling hybrid
6 fans
Pc that can litteralu run anything perfectly except for cs2...
550 euro benq 240hz screen
Fps jumps from 450 - 35 fps,
You think that the hardware is the problem?
think again, its the desine of the "Esports Ready" game.
I’ve just enjoying CS2 a lot lately. It’s refreshing to see Valve work hard again with the consist updates.
Even TF2 has been getting some decent content for Halloween.
Sadly only ported from workshop, but I appreciate that they are rebalancing the zombie infection gamemode even tho it will be event only :D
@@destruktro2470 , better than nothing and we can agree that workshop content from the community is probably way better than what valve would do on their own.
The community is basically telling Valve, Hey. Here is some concept of content for TF2. Port it into the game, we get new content and you get more money. Win Win
True :D@@checkmate9099
