I like Magnussen. Occasionally he is a bit too aggressive but he can be a great driver. I doubt he'll be there next year, but he's had a great run in F1.

I like K Mag. He seems like an F1 driver, but born into the wrong time. I do like the new Kevin more since becoming a father. He’s honest and still fast in race trim.

Ty for the effort you put into this video never knew Kevin is still that young tho 😅 but along as he isn't magically beating Nico this year. It's probably his last season.

Magnussen is one of the most competitive drivers on the planet, he’s a racer through and through.
I think he got most of his racing attitude from his father who was very alike in his racecraft.
Kevin leaves nothing out there when he’s wheel to wheel. Only if he could step up his qualifying so he could show his true racecraft further up the grid.

Let’s be clear here… I did not make bad move and unnecessary move on Logan. FIA agreed whit Kevin, but then can’t change the rule in season now.

He's a good driver with respectable career and I wish his current downward spiral will end. 2018 was his peak and 2022 was a bit disappointing despite the comeback: so many points opportunities were missed.

Actually I think his best year over all will never be noticed, in pure racing and car control and speed those 3 he was phenomenal in 2019, their car simply sucked! But some of those laps and qualifyings he got in are borderline scary good. Additionally give him a bit of rain not too much not too little for a tire, so the cars have to drive on the edge... and he is simply the best on the grid. Take Silverstone 2024 Kevin managed to do laps 1.5s faster than Lando Norris in the lead on the same tyrecompound in a HAAS with 0 Upgrades, he put his Haas on a friggin POLE POSITION at Interlagos in a head to head with Max Verstappen both in dry conditions, vs the rest of the grid being too slow getting rain... but he beat Max on purely driving, and understanding how rain will seep in on the track vs when it's too much throttle, he has sensational car feel in oversteering. Odd because his car setup's make everyone else thing it causes understeer, When Kevin makes it Oversteer, this is why he an Nico get a long great in terms of what they want in a car. But also explains his 2023 qualifying issues as the cars unpredictable nature hurt kevin more as it would have a seemingly inconsistent and erratic blance gradient from understeer to oversteer and vice versa, which is not as risky in Nico's V-style driving style, as it is in Kevin's Max Verstappen probably wouldn't have liked the car either, as Kevin and Max have a slightly similar driving style. Remarkably i think if you swpped Kevin and Checo Kevin might actually beat Max every now and then, but never lack behind, simply because the RB20 would fit Kevin's driving style really really well. In 2024 he has had traffic in 9 out of 12 qualifying rounds on his counting hotlap. that's rough. Last time in the UK kevin made the mistake as he THOUGHT the rain would come and he pitted instead of going for an extra improvement, after he spun off the same place as Verstappen and Checo, seems like that redbull and Kevin really have things in common. Anyway In Monaco... they were disqualified from the qulifying because of issues out of kevins hands, in Montreal they bodged his pitstop Bottas style. And yet Kevin has been consistently quicker than Nico in almost all free practice sessions this year, and then he had traffic when it mattered. Haas must know this is true, and I see Kevin staying on, I really cant see Ocon being an upgrade, at all.... and Bottas ough he is having a stinker of a season and he is not a racer... in racecraft, I doubt Zhou has shown much quality nor does the fact that he is chinese help the American brand well... domestically that is, and Sainz is probably an option, but I am wondering if he is a serious topic, I really don't see it. If Sainz end up in Haas then Kevin would likely be scooped by Audi or Alpine, Williams is unlikely, but there is one option more, which is Mercedes on a 1 year contract, doubt that one but its there... final scenario is Perez gets clause fired and Perez gets scooped by Haas, or Williams Sainz jumps at Redbull... and things shift up again. But i think its more likely Ricciardo joins Redbull, lawson enters VCarb if that happens, and Perez gets booted, Ocon Gets booted, Bottas Gets booted. I think Kevin's team spirit might be the most interesting thing that sets him apart from the others.

Great video but Kevin's future is quite easy to predict in the short term and in the short term he won't be in F1 in my opinion.

@@danevirkeFirst, it's pretty well known that Gene didn't want him back to begin with, that was a Guenther move and Guenther isn't there to protect that investment anymore. Second, Ollie Bearman.Third, not performing well, compared to his teammate. I suppose they could keep him as the experienced driver while Ollie gets settled, but I don't see it going that way. Like I said, just my opinion. If yours differs, that's good with me.

@@patrickmalark8433 first. It was gene that wanted Kevin back not Steiner. Second Oliver bearman. What about him?? He did well in his f1 debut but sucked at f2 the weekend after. He is overrated. And lastly he could perform better but half the points the team has is his doing. Plus many fia rules need to change which is somehow out of Kevin control.

@@patrickmalark8433 totally respect different opinions too. But I don`t know where you get your info from? But you got it wrong here. Gene told Steiner to found out if Kevin would be interested in coming back. Where Steiner replied I don’t know but I can find out pretty quick. Steiner told the story to f1 tv and danish teli. And Kevin confirmed it too sky sports. It’s been on the net many times. So the protection you a talking about is from gene not Steiner. And half the points hulk has is Kevin doing. And not to mention imola. Kevin did the most overtaking, he brings f1 to life….good and bad🤪 bearman is overrated and if mag and bearman was to team up next year. I have no doubt mag will come out on top. But that is my opinion
