Anyone who understands the game knows exactly what Ange Postecoglou is doing. He's building a squad, a squad that will sustain the test of time for years to come. You have the "Levy Out" bunch who believe Tottenham should be run according to their many philosophies and theories, and whether we win or lose games there's always something negative to point out
May it be "we got lucky," if we win, or "we're not good enough" when we lose. Levy promised us he would not listen to them, and I hope he'll keep his word, because if he listens to this lot and fires Ange Postecoglou, I WILL BE "LEVY OUT"

Modders has to go to bench for Kulu, but as you said that is a big call but Son on left, Richie in the middle, Johnson on. The right and Kulu down the middle has been our most dynamic….in particular the pressing and covering full backs in wide areas.

I’m still excited about the future. Yes a few more Romero’s would be required. Still a few too many “lightweights” in the the team. Great when it’s going good. Poor when it’s tough. Gallagher would be a good start

I can see how Ange would be more worried about our offense since "attack" is the essence of his playing style. But the lack of effective creativity is really evident. It all seems to go on the wide players, with predictable crosses that, more often than not, lead to nothing. Anytime we move centrally they seem to go with short passes that usually get blocked. There is also a real lack of classic No.9 striking ability. The fact that Romero and Van de Ven had more clear chances than any of our forwards speaks volumes.

You bring up zonal marking being a "reactionary" style which is an interesting PoV that I haven't heard anything about. Ange's system is all about being on the front foot and not being the ones reacting to what the opponents are doing, so I kind of feel that zonal marking doesn't fit that mindset all that well.

Obviously we have to do so much better at set plays literally becoming like if we have to defend 5 or 6 corners it’s a guaranteed goal concession from one of them.
However, in a game of fine margins where our general play was decent but against a top side you can’t be on the wrong end of so many decisions.
There was a literal 2 goal swing from the obvious deki pen to the saka 2nd goal….that was literally the game really.

If the VAR officials had actually applied the Laws properly, Spurs would have gone into half time 2-1 up, or AT WORST, given the Havertz goal, 2-2. Van de Ven’s goal should have stood, because the Arsenal player made a definite attempt to clear or block the ball before it rebounded off their second player into VdV’s path. That makes him onside. The clip on Deki was clearly a foul, whether he went over straight away or not. It should have been a penalty.

I couldn't agree more with your comments about the ignorance of Ange regarding our current set piece philosophies.
He sees what we see and to leave players unmarked in defensive corner taking situations is unforgivable.
As i have said many times Ange is as bloody minded as Conte but in reverse; And I'd go as far to say that he is fanatical in his approach which when dealing with anyone with that sort of mindset raises a Red Flag. I wish people would stop making excuses for him
Stopping conceding goals is just as important as scoring them. In fact it is more important because you are making your opposition less confident about their ability to hurt you.
Ange would much better serve the club as Director of football, with his assessment of player recruitment etc. if he has this massive blind spot to the obvious, which is costing us so dear.
The tale of The Emperor's New Clothes comes to mind when i think about Ange, and unfortunately it is an experiment that has gaping flaws that need fixing by a different manager who will adapt and try to win games effectively, instead of always starting each game with a 2 goal deficit, which would be even more without VDV.; Not just say that he wants to win every game.
We haven't been able to put in positive performances with only one game a week. God help us if we get into Europe, which I doubt very much, and forget any cup runs. Cant see them happening.
Perhaps Ange wants to be sacked so he can to go to a club like Newcastle who have pots of money and he can take his defensive Australian coach with him.

Im with Ange on not complaining about decisions but yesterday was a push - kulu trip was a pen, not sufficient contact, is contact and he went down. Pen all day long. Vdv offside was a shot that bounced off two arsenal players so argubly could've stood as an equalising goal and vicario being blocked by Ben 'i need another sunbed' White is obstruction all day long.
What is the point of having VAR if these simple refereeing errors are not corrected.
Not too many years ago, level was onside and linesmen were to give the strikers benefit of the doubt in the name of goals and making the prem more entertaining for fans. We've gone completely the other way. Take nothing away from Arsenal, they've been a good team all year and were never going to get beaten once 0-3 up... We've had our luck with VAR this year, but ffs.... Give authority to the 4 match officials and let the game be played out, mistakes and all. (c) Pape should have started. I don't think Rodrigo has played well enough lately to have justified his spot.
    (d) Has NordVPN given you stock options? Given the virality that you are creating among the Tottenham fan base, possibly the Everton fan base, and beyond, I hope you are being remunerated appropriately.
    (e) James needs his mind to be in the right place in order to play well but I don't think he, nor Ange nor anyone knows where/what "the right place" is.

Small club mind set is BS, same would happen with Rangers Celtic, Liverpool Everton, Man City Man Utd, and many more their fans would be the same.
He did say he wants to win what was wrong with the league cup then.

Guys - please. Let's drop this charade that Ange is forthcoming. Other than providing injury status, lineup facts and other such required but innocuous minutiae, he does not give you journos ANYTHING of actual meaning in your pressers. Unless there are other times when he speaks to you that he gives real insight that the general public does not see, why are you wasting your time with him? He obviously disdains you (as most mgrs do) but stop pretending he possesses anything approaching candor. His body language - looking down and not making eye contact, his low and mumbling, oblique and circuitously evasive of answers are maddening to hear. You all should boycott him at the next presser and not ask him ANY questions. Just sit there in silence. Will never happen I know but how can a message be sent to him that we're all sick of his non-answer answers.

I don't get it, why should he give the media answers that might influence the team? Most football fans and media are intellectually disabled and don't know anything about football anyway, so why should managers go into details?

Romero needs to be made Captain Sonny is too weak a leader, we need someone strong and Romero fits the Bill.

Agree that Romero seems a more natural captain, but I don't think the physical armband is as important as his presence on the pitch. I was always forgetting Kane wasn't the captain for example

Not only the absolute leader, many fans have made a point of putting him to a holding roll a 6 he has a vision. With Radu behind him theres another big bloke in the box. Only somethings should move around. And why on earth is Gil not given a chance in at least the first 45 mins. He can put a good ball in the box.
