GREAT LITTLE REVIEW -- Hey Andrew, thanks for the quick run-through. Honestly, I've been looking around for a little utility recorder -- and happened upon the Tascam DR-10L (hadn't seen it before). I host a national agricultural TV news show -- and decided to start using a recorder separate from my phone for notes, background interviews, etc. I'm pretty intrigued by the Tascam -- and I'm certain it'd be great, especially when I'm visiting potential story subjects -- and just looking for general story info before I get down to the more detailed audio- and video-gathering. I don't think it would be QUITE as convenient as a handheld recorder (especially when I'm recording myself on rare occasions). But I have a feeling it'd be fantastic using it on interviewees. I'd have to sync the audio if I actually USED it, but that's not necessarily a big deal. Thanks
Thanks Mike! I can confirm the DR-10L is great for interviews, whether as a primary or even backup audio source. Funny you mentioned it - I'll have a video out in the next couple weeks on a great handheld recorder too, if you're looking for another option.
