People often forget their shadow and many don't even know what this really means.
Everyone has one, I do, you do, everyone.
But most people are scared of their shadow. Most people avoid their shadow through a variety of healthy and unhealthy outlets.
Embracing your shadow and understanding the meaning of the trauma and darkness, will lead you to true freedom and peace in your life.
Find the shadow. Embrace the shadow. Understand the shadow. And finally, make peace with the shadow to open up your world!

I think a lot of it starts from a) self love (I am worthy, and no matter what happens (ridicule), I’ll be ok; and b) understanding the meanness on the part of others is a reflection of them, not you.
In “the four agreements,” Miguel Ruiz talks about not taking anything personally. Why? Because all of us are (and he explains this better and more tastefully) screwed up by our own experiences and have beliefs that form this fake “story” or version of reality that we use to interpret everything.
Those kids who chose to be mean were probably criticized and belittled by their own parents. It’s what they know. They didn’t know love, and didn’t have it to give to you. But that’s their story, and it has nothing to do with reality or anything to do with your worth.
That said, I recommend the “charisma on command” RUclips channel to help with your social skills. Everyone benefits from growing those!

There arent smarter people. People have different ways of expressing their intelligence. Some are great at maths, others at languages, others at art, sports and the list goes on. There is something called multiple intelligences. Research it and find yours 😊. And one thing is to be smart and another is to have knowkedge on certain matters. So if you want to improve, read, research, watch documentaries on the things that interest you the most: history, animals, politics, etc. I know lots of people who barely went to school but they have so much knowkedge that it is a pleasure to talk with them

@@kieransimpson4965 hey, thanks for asking 🥰 truthfully, there's a lot of things I've had to implement one by one over the course of 3 to 4 years. I just started shadow work intentionally about a month ago with the help of a shadow work journal and workbook so having my foundation from these last few years has made that process faster and easier for me. But my top tips (in no particular order) would be:
      - learn to accept and flow with internal and external chaos
      - keep a journal for emotional dumping, patterns, progress updates, gratitude entries, etc. Write in it whenever you feel the need to, it doesn't have to be an everyday thing unless you want it to be.
      - interrupt the negative self-talk, start looking at yourself from a neutral perspective, then level up (at your own pace) to positive self-talk and affirmations
      - accept your shadow as an ally rather than an enemy
      - allow yourself to have authentic, creative expression in any form that may take (i.e. switching up your personal style or painting)
      - inner child work and healing
      - cultivate grace, patience, and compassion for yourself as you navigate the inevitability of your pain and discomfort. Be kind to your mind
      - develop healthy coping mechanisms that put your nervous system at ease (for me, that's dancing, singing, EFT, meditation, yoga, journaling, deep breathing, stimming, being out in nature)
      - radical self-acceptance which then usually transmutes naturally into radical self-love
      - consistently remind yourself that there is light on the other side of these dark, messy, or even scary emotions.
      - have literal conversations with your shadow and inner child. Love, accept, appreciate and level with them.
      - only follow positive and uplifting content, stay away from media that may trigger you
      - save your energy for what matters most to you and for what brings you the most joy, or at least contentment.
      - have a loving support system if you can, there truly is strength in numbers.
I hope this helps! I know this was a lot and I hope it didn't overwhelm you to read all of this. It'll take time, having that patience for yourself really is a game changer. Day by day and moment by moment. Also, it's good to remember that perfection doesn't exist, healing isn't linear, and you're already doing a great freaking job as you are. I wish you the absolute best on your healing journey ❤️

I quit smoking for a year and a half (got back into it). I was working out consistantly (injured myself from one ego rep just to prove to myself I could do it) I was doing well at my job (got fired for dipping back into old habbits) and now I am suffering my karma. I have a lot of spiritual knowledge but avoided my practices because I thought just being deeply conscious of everything was enough. It's time to put in the work and follow through.

The PTS comment is very much true. I have had soldiers with very difficult upbringing coming in to serve and sometimes some days are extremely difficult. I've learned what helps is full listening and influencing negative behaviors by reinforcing any accomplishments, big or small, they accomplish. I am also coping with depression, I am not sure where it came from, but my best treatment is affirmation, a small journal to meditate and reflect, and daily progression. Inner peace trumps outward acceptance.

I'm so tired of my feelings being dismissed

    • @stevemiller8895
      @stevemiller8895 Год назад

Friend , with all due respect, You are the only one who can dismiss your own feelings , does that make sense to you? because when you're feelings come into your present moment , which might be even an issue like abandonment or rejection etc. and you instead of acknowledging and accepting it , and welcoming it into your present moment, that you can inturn place upon it loving kindness , you actually dismiss it and send it away or you find other ways of not acknowledging that woundedness that hurtful feeling that causes you mental anguish or psychological pain and because you don't acknowledge this particular feeling that comes up in your moment you look externally for validation instead of giving yourself validation by validating the wounded and hurtful and painful feelings that come up in your present moment does that make sense to you?
I can only suggest that when those painful feelings come into your present moment, that you acknowledge them and accept them with loving kindness and with hospitality, giving space to your uncomfortable wounded or hurtful feelings and as you do the acknowledgment and acceptance and loving-kindness that you place upon that woundedness in your present moment will actually transform into healing as we allow our feelings space to process.
We are supposed to have a parental child relationship with our feelings we being the parent in our Consciousness and our feelings being the child as the feeling and as we place this loving acceptance Upon Our feelings/ inner child we are placing loving acceptance upon ourselves and thereby we are validating ourselves and in turn as we place this loving acceptance upon ourselves we are now able to authentically give others the same loving acceptance as we give ourselves.
Therefore, if we validate our wounded selves, then others cannot hurt us by what they tell us or they cannot invalidate us because they dismiss what we have to say, Because if you understand that your validation is no longer requiring something external, so you're going to find as you start processing these feelings and placing the loving acceptance upon them that when people invalidate you externally , it's not even going to affect you.
I think it's important to understand that you have your objective impersonal self which is the parent / consciousness and then you have your subjective personal self which is the child which is your feelings and whenever you take things personally it means that you are not being in the place of the objective impersonal parent and that's where you always need to be because that's the place of victory you are there to minister to your feelings you are there to minister to your personal self and if you identify as the personal self that's when you get your feelings hurt , does that make sense to you you? You can't take things personally, if you are in the objective and impersonal state of being you can only take things personally when you are in your personal subjective self. Let me know if this helps thank you!

i concluded i might have ADHD..
what does shadow work do to persons like us or rather neuro divergent people..is it any different?
i am sure adhd has roots which i may be able dig up through shadow work but being hyperfocused on shadow self and overanalysis might easily lead to rumination. that's what happened to me atleast.
    any thoughts on this? anybody.

I have ADHD, and I can totally relate to what you’re saying. Something that I’ve learned in my years doing shadow work and spiritual practices, is that I can research ‘how to’s…’ and learn from them, but then I should only apply what works for me, and create my own processes.
Neurodivergent people think and process things differently, and we tend to feel like failures because we can’t focus long enough, we lose interest, etc.
My advice is to think about past experiences where you had a challenge such as this, and overcame it. Then, break it down and see what helped you solve that issue, and try and apply that solution to your shadow work process.
Also, I think a big part of shadow work in general is step number 4 in Clark’s process (10:28)-acknowledgment without judgement-because judgement is a big shadow for us with adhd, always secretly thinking there’s something wrong with us.
      I hope this helps ❤

I can understand , there is a saying that says,"Over analysis , becomes paralysis". which means you might be overwhelmed by the information necessary in order for you to achieve some sort of healing, but I want to encourage you to just read through what I wrote and this might help you because it's really simple it doesn't require that you go back anywhere or do anything except for whenever an emotion or feeling or an issue comes up that you place acknowledgment of it and acceptance and loving kindness to it and hospitality and letting it remain with you instead of trying to suppress it let it come up and let it be with you and then of course, I discuss your relationship to your feelings and the way that I go about it but let me know if this helps and take care of yourself!
I am in the process of becoming self aware and therefore I know that I am not my feelings but I am the space for my feelings and in a more relationship oriented representation, I am consciousness and it is / I AM the parent to my inner child who represents my feelings.
So when I am feeling lost I know that the feeling is my inner child and within that relationship I know that children have needs and being lost. For example , is part of being wounded so I want to console my inner child by first acknowledging and accepting and treating with loving kindness and giving him Hospitality which means although he is wounded and I feel the wound, i do not run away from it , but rather, I welcome it and in doing so through all of this love that I am placing upon my feelings my inner child is able to transform from being lost and wounded and feeling unacknowledged and unaccepted and unloved
(because I may have felt the feeling and did not want to deal with it and instead i ran from it,)
to now the feeling transforms into being found and healed all because of the acknowledgment and acceptance and the loving kindness that I place upon my feelings and that's how I heal. That's how I increase my confidence my self-esteem my value and sense of worth which is the result my process this also increases my ability to validate myself internally so that my inner child is not crying out for some external validation because I failed to validate my inner child internally, through acknowledgment and acceptance and loving kindness and validating my inner child's presence.
I also give my feelings the highest priority that sense of self that sense that I am number one or my inner child is number one who happens to be in charge of my feelings, what he feels, Is the very most important thing to me, and because of this he feels that importance and value That I give him and since he feels that way i also am feeling what he feels. like he's number one and now he is very confident and that confidence comes out through my expression and in my projection into the world and from that it is reflected back on to me because I am omitting a higher frequency / vibration and that frequency / vibration returns to me in that I walk this Earth confidently with high self-esteem as a result of the acknowledgment the acceptance the loving kindness and internal validation that I am able to place upon my own woundedness my own wounded inner child and by this it transforms into healing and because of this I am becoming more authentic in everything I say and do and I keep improving and becoming the functional person that I was created to be as I am embracing my dark side unauthentic personality because of woundedness but through acknowledgment and acceptance of it
It transform from wounded and unauthentic into my healed and authentic personality much like a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly and it is in the psychological heart , that for a caterpillar also represents the Cocoon where this transformation into my authentic personality represented as a butterfly , takes place.

Lol! I do almost all my shadow work with crystals.
I unexpectedly triggered kundalini through crystal meditation 20 years ago, then stopped meditating because it got too intense and ungrounding.
Fastforward to Covid, got really bored and started working with crystals again.
Signs that a crystal is doing shadow work and moving blocked energy, sharp pain, muscle contraction, tiny electric sensations, thinking of issues you usually avoid (usually surrounding the need for boundaries), feeling bottled up emotions like shame, sadness, heartbreak or anger.
Grounding crystals are what eventually made me understand what grounding my excess spiritual energy is supposed to feel like.
Tiger iron on the root chakra (mix of hematite, red jasper and tiger eye) is the most intensely grounding crystal I've ever experienced. It rips emotions you didn't even know you had and pulls them down through your root chakra down into the Earth. It's not for the faint hearted.
There are gentler and more graceful grounding crystals. I really enjoy brown calcite and dravite because they gently pull the energy down my legs, through my feet, to the Earth star chakra. It's sooooo relaxing.
One of the best ones for getting rid of negative energy is supposed to be aegirine. I've only recently acquired one. At first it made me feel more confident, but upon repeated use I've had really weird and spiritual experiences with it where I felt in touch with purer aspects of my soul.
Shadow work has been a long and hard journey for me. I've worked seriously at it with crystals for the last two years. I wanted better grounding and I've had a lot of breakthroughs with my root chakra recently. I am very grateful I have done the work. I have less anxiety and it's getting better and better. It's hard work but it pays off.
    Loved the vid : )

None of this will help you. The only thing that can even half help you is direct action. You have to work ... plant gardens, clean your house, organize the paperwork, take care of animals/pets, get that certificate, deal with that bill collector, cook that healthier food, take a daily walk... And stay off the internet, stay off the social media, stop texting, stop watching RUclips all day ... This right here is the stuff, non-stop "self help" supposed "coaches" and "gurus," non-stop chattering... that's making us sick.

You know if you do the work you have no idea how much your life will change if I can make it simple for you though whenever you have any negative or uncomfortable feeling from an issue that you had growing up as a kid or you are triggered when that feeling comes into your present the Temptation is to suppress it and be distracted or let yourself be distracted and that's a way of running from it but instead embrace it like you would your own physical child who's hurting but instead it is your inner child that's hurting but don't run from it acknowledge it and accept it and place loving kindness upon it and let it remain with you as long as it wants and you will find that within minutes that that feeling of discomfort or the woundedness or the psychological pain or trauma well suddenly transform and subside and you have just completed one processed feeling because that's all feelings really want to do is just process but instead of letting them process we hold on to them and try to use them as a weapon or we hold on to them thinking that if we suppress them they'll go away but they don't they need to process so if you can just get that into your mind that feelings need to process and feelings need to be loved because loving your feelings you are loving yourself and when you love yourself you're able to authentically love others outside of yourself the other Advantage is when you validate your wounded inner self inner child you won't have a need to search for external validation from other people and I'm not kidding you I've been doing this for over a year now and it has completely changed my life and the effort is not as much as you might think but if you just understand the concept it's definitely worth your while it's a game changer anyways I just thought you should know because I know what it's done for me and if I could tell everyone I would!

Great approaches. I'd like to throw in that this kind of therapy is very successful throughout the history of mental health nursing & there's a lot more evidence than the one example illustrated about how useful these approaches are. I really like the way you explain it here.
Something I would add, is that none of this works too well for the 30% of people who insist on bringing, and persist in keeping "supernatural" théories or other unscientific ideology in the process.
This is about your own thoughts and not about what imaginary beings you might be using to avoid thinking about problems. You might realise this quite early on, in the process, by yourself, but if you don't and you keep getting nowhere with it, I advise some consideration of the facts, with some kind of additional approach related to journaling, like CBT
CBT is where you focus on the emotions and analyse exactly where anxiety arises in your thoughts that trigger it. This helps unpick over-reliance on ideology as a method of coping with difficult circumstances.

We are all bound to fail from time to time, perhaps even seasons where it seems like failure is inevitable, but if you can fail yourself, you can forgive yourself. IF you can forgive yourself, you can be worthy of success. If you can can be worthy of success, you will find success.
The success must first happen on the inside, then it so too will be on the outside.

I was worried because I saw "law of attraction" and I basically think that stuff is woo-woo. Hey thanks for another shadow work video. I recognize a pattern in my life. Time and time again, when I lost some weight, I wanted to put some fat back on, and I always did. As a result, I was always yo-yoing. I really think it stems from my low self-worth, and there's this shadow part of me that wants to sabotage myself. That shadow part of myself doesn't want me looking good and feeling good. I need to look at that part of me straight in the eyes and have a conversation. Why are you here? Why do you not me being happy, healthy and attractive? I think there's a lot of pain and shame in there, that keeps me from moving forward and truly stepping into the highest version of myself.

I really like this video. How u explain that shadow work doesn't have to be something from witchcraft. I looked into witchcraft myself for a time. But I was also starting to fall into a mental fog/ a lighter type of depression than what I've had b4 in the past. I started to learn about shadow work. & have been wanting to actually try it myself. But I also didn't like the fact that it was tied to wc so much. So I'm glad u made this video bcuz I can show it to someone w/o it being something wc like. & maybe they can use it too. & also not feel like it's something from wc.

Shadow Work, in it's many forms and methods, is deeply commected to witchcraft ❤️ That is one of many reasons why the practice/craft can be extremely healthy and can be a positive catalyst for inner realization, change, healing, and confidence to take action steps in life for individuals. It encourages this type of work in many ways.
It makes me sad that it is laughed at and dismissed so often when it has been so crucial to our development since the dawn of our time as a species... The telling of history really did witchcraft dirty.
