That was amazing I may have to buy his blue ray💯💯 Red the way you observe music you don't just hear it you see it and feel it and that amazes me ❤❤❤ You have a mind that captivates me even when you to your hot food reaction or your redhead ramblings #joebonamassa #bethhart #liveinamsterdam #reaction #soul #blues #guitar #redheadedneighbor #bestreactor #redsarmy #beautifulfuncountrygirl #34K #heartofgoldwithmetalinhersoul #bestbadjokes
Soo when I learn to cover another bands song I worry about playing their solo note for note but when I watch this guy I figure what the Hell! Sky's the limit!! He is a Master! Great Reaction Neighbor!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎🎸🤟🏼
Your comment about the crossover between ZZ Top and SRV is spot on since Just got Paid is a ZZ Top song and SRV was a big influence on Bonamassa, whom in fact was a child prodigy. Great reaction, as usual

I don't recall ever hearing any of these guitar masters talk about synesthesia, but I have heard people talk about hearing the music in their heads and it just coming out through their fingers to their instrument.
That is about 6 songs mashup Joe created. Huge fan here. He used to move his mouth a lot but I think (only my opinion) he trained himself out of a lot of it. I've noticed when he plays in smaller places and dresses casual, jeans, ball cap he's much more expressive facially. You can't imagine what being at his concerts is like. It's amazing. Btw that was 2013. He just had his 28th#1blues album. Check out one of his latest. Live at the Hollywood Bowl. "Prisoner" "Last Matador of Bayonne" you will be shocked by his voice. Note: he strives to create the sound he hears in his head you will notice he's always adjusting the tone and volume knobs to get the sounds he wants. He knows how to drive the guitars and amps to get the tone.
@redheadedneighbor it was. Less than 50 people in the club. I won the" hold the longest sung note"contest with him and the audience. He made eye contact with me and said pretty good. He brought in 20 different guitars, 1 + backup for ten songs. A really nice guy. By the way, you are quite attractive, thanks for the reply...
Just Got Paid is an old ZZ Top song originally. Saw ZZ Top do it twice. I saw Joe do this "Just Got Paid" medley with the bass player and drummer in Fresno CA in 2013 or 14. Man what a show. It was the Bacon Theater Tour. I have that DVD, it is one of the best out there for live shows.
The "Fuzz" as you called it is actually called " Distortion " it's an effect that is made by an effect pedal or effect processor, I would say Joe is using an effect processor instead of a pedal. Also most amplifiers these days have that effect already built in... in the days before pedals & processors... the Distortion was made by Overdriving the amplifier, tube amplifiers are best for an overdrive Distortion !
This is a ZZTop song Red...lol!!! Joe has a great collection of guitars....some he never plays at that. But the sound he gets from his older guitars is top notch and the stories behind them is amazing. When I first heard him years ago he blew me away....and he sings pretty good also.
Here's a Interesting story about Joe, when he was young and was just coming on the scene in the Music business he was to young to play in bars until BB King and Eric Clapton heard about him and decided to give him and Audition because BB and Eric were playing at the same club and they were so Amazed by Joe that they pulled some strings and got Joe into the club
Is my memory completely fked, (yes) or was the opening riff before ZZ Top from Black Sabbath…. Edit: that’s the first time I’ve actually seen anyone use a Theremin! Very cool. I like your fish
Nice that you pick out the ZZ Top vibe in this song. It's originally a ZZ Top song. I know you've said before that you are sound-color synesthetic, which may be a blessing or a curse? Anyhow, when Joe is mouthing the notes while he's playing, it's like just something a lot of blues players do while they play, actually singing or humming along with the playing as an aid to play more melodically. Joe is one of the best guitar players currently around. It's great he added in some Led Zeppelin Dazed and Confused in the second half of this.
just moved over from your Rush reactions. but.. Joe B is f'ing awesome....here is the ultimate concert from him at Red Rocks. Muddy Waters, then Howlin' Wolf, then his own stuff (btw...his keyboard player is Reese Winans, from Stevie Ray's band, Anton Figg was David Letterman's drummer, etc...) ruclips.net/video/IrAjqJ3I2XE/видео.html
I love red heads and Joe, too.
Brilliant, and real! Joe in the greatest form!

Another good one would be "Angel of Mercy" from his concert at the Greek Theater. Killer.
Your comment about the crossover between ZZ Top and SRV is spot on since Just got Paid is a ZZ Top song and SRV was a big influence on Bonamassa, whom in fact was a child prodigy. Great reaction, as usual
To much talent on that stage And dam that Les Paul sounds so good
More Joe please. Thank you !!!
little bit of a whitesnake tribute in there ... love it.
Seen Joe live a couple of times, always puts on a great show 🎶🎸👍
I can recommend listening to Joe Bonamassa & Tina Guo - "Woke Up Dreaming" - Live At Carnegie Hall. Mindblowing.
Even though Joe Bonamssa is actually doing a cover of this song, Joe Bonamssa just made this HIS version of the song!

Only the second song I've heard from Joe but he's just a next level guitarist, I was so blown away.
Joe is the man Love the Jimmy Page outro
Not to mention the Jeff Beck middle bit!
I love how he goes into some John Sykes during the solo. Can't say I expected that.
It’s a ZZ Top cover so your right on

I got to sit ten feet away from Joe at a small club in north Texas twice. Amazing performer.
That must have been incredible

GREAT Red ❤❤❤❤❤
Glad to see you on the Joe Bonamassa band wagon. Midnight Blues Live at the Royal Albert Hall would be a great next video for you
The song " Just got Paid" an original ZZ TOP song , Joe Bonamssa is just doing a cover of the song ... very, very excellent cover I may say!
the whole thing is covers from zztop the main song going the solo whitesnake, led zepplin then back to ZZ
Like how he incorporated little bits of different other groups songs in this one
Havent seen a Theremin since Sheldon on "Big Bang Theory" Haha!

Want to dive into blues? Johnny Winter. B.B. King. Chicago blues? Buddy Guy. Female blues singers? Valerie Wellington. Bessie Smith. Koko Taylor.

Research the guitar he played in this concert.
Joe, as far as I know, still uses a theremin on stage.

Nobody caught it …he plays …Whitesnake “ In the still of the night “ after 1st break….
@@NCNelz wish I knew that song!
Is my memory completely fked, (yes) or was the opening riff before ZZ Top from Black Sabbath….
Edit: that’s the first time I’ve actually seen anyone use a Theremin! Very cool.
I like your fish
Someone tell me the bit at 6:50. It's driving me nuts where it's from.
Whitesnake still of the night.
Considering that this was filmed by a fan with an iPhone7......it's an amazing Joe show yet again .

This is, by the way, a ZZ Top cover
Led Zeppelin did it, ZZ-Top did it and Joe did it also... (Btw: Sounds allmost liike LedZep tribute... 😊)
Regards. 👍

Yup Joe was a child prodigy....bang on hun
I loved that how he went from ZZ TOP to WhiteSnake
LOL! You've just opened another deep well and a fave of mine. Have a nice trip! You haven't even "finished" the Rush catalogue yet... ;-)>

Red you have to check out Susan Tedeschi and the Tedeschi Trucks Band
They are so good.
I just heard their music last year. I was surprised that they've been around for so long and I never heard of them.
Bonamassa no tiene la creatividad de un buen blusero o rocker
