      Several bands have used two drummers*, though JB usually only uses one. I think this was a special deal for the UK.
      *Allman Brothers
      Tedeschi/Trucks Band

      Being a drummer, I generally think it's a waste of resources. Give me a keyboard any day!

    Joe had a 3 night performance where every night was a different style. One night was acoustic blues which was fantastic and very stripped down. Mostly he plays slower songs than this but he likes to stretch his chops once in a while. He has a great guitar collection.

    On this cover, Joe Bonamassa added riffs from dazed and confused (Zeppelin), he is also known to add in riffs from still of the night (Whitesnake).
    Honorable mention is his use of the theremin during his guitar solo. Thats where some of the ‘strange sounds’ are made.
    The theremin was also used in the Beach Boys’ song Good Vibrations.
    He’s just versatile 😊. Thanks for the reaction

    I’ve seen Joe live a half dozen times, and he always delivers. His touring band has to be one of the top lineups going these days. He has a backup singer that sounds like Aretha, a piano player that played with SRV and a drummer that was in the Letterman band for decades. Unfortunately he lost his bass player to cancer earlier this year (Michael Rhodes). He also features a horn section in the current road show, Seeing Joe live is nothing short of a beautiful wall of sound. Maybe look at doing his live performance of ‘Going Down or Angel Of Mercy - Live from the Greek Theater’.

      I didn’t know Anton Fig plays live with Joe. In addition to being a terrific drummer he’s a funny guy-at least he was when he was with Letterman.
      Another Lerrermen band alum (Steve Jordan) took over timekeeping for Charlie Watts (after 59 years) in the Rolling Stones, hand picked for the job by Charlie himself before he died 2 years ago. Jordan was also the drummer who played with Neil Young on his 1989 explosive 🧨 SNL performance of Keep On Rockin’ In The Free World.

Have a great weekend gentlemen 👋🏾🙏🏾✌🏾😊

      I agree! The Surfing With The Alien album was one of 4 very strong albums that (I feel) broke new ground in 1988 AND have held up very nicely since. I was selling compact discs at the time and witnessed these 4 albums take on lives of their own as they broke and the bands toured tirelessly.
      Joe Satriani - Surfing With The Alien
      Guns N Roses - Appetite For Destruction
      Living Colour - Vivid (edited from self titled) (I can’t wait for La and Che to discover this one!)
      Melissa Etheridge - Melissa Etheridge (her 12 string sometimes needs a cigarette when she finishes a song, especially Like The Way I Do and Somebody Bring Me Some Water. As a lyricist and a musician she strikes me as what we would have if Janis Joplin and Bob Dylan had had a kid together. 🔥

    That thing making the electronic noises is a theremin, the first ever all-electronic instrument. Jimmy Page used one in the psychedelic middle part of Whole Lotta Love, and always played it in concert too. Bonamassa's great and has incredible guitar collection. I'm sure that's some super rare vintage Gibson Flying V he's playing. When he's playing the real fast, fluid and complicated leads, he sounds so much like Eric Johnson. You guys should check out some of his stuff. Bonamassa supposedly apologizes to Eric about stealing his style.

    That was his first performance at Royal Albert Hall he turned 32 a couple days before this show. That's a complication of 2-3 (4lol) songs and it's what they ended show with. At this pt he'd been a working musician since 12 touring that summer with BBKing. Billy Gibbons had used a flying V for just got pd at one point. The bass player was Carmine Rojas! Think David Bowie among others. Great reaction! Joe has gotten better and better I don't see how but it's true! ❤

    Band is going nuts here. Bass indeed is great and Joe does what he loves. I've Seen Joe live in my home country the Netherlands and that was awesome. Nice reaction guys. Rock on!

    While this “cover” of “Just Got Paid Today (ZZ Top)/Dazed And Confused (Led Zeppelin)” by Joe Bonamassa was an amazing Rock’n-Roll rendition, Mr. Bonamassa is much more well known for his Blues music, and especially for his live performances.. should Airplay Beats choose to explore more of JB’s music, I hope it will be some of those performances/songs. A few suggestions would be:
    - “Slow Train” (studio);
    - “I Just Want To Take Care Of You” (live w/ Beth Hart, 🔥);
    - “Down Around My Place” (live w/ John Hiatt, ⚡️);
    - “Sloe Gin” (live, solo, 💥);
    there are many more to consider, but the 3 above are pretty much my favorites; regardless, can’t go wrong with JB❗️
    ✌️Fellas, keep up the good work ‼️👍😀

    Loved the Dazed & Confused tribute to LZ in this great performance. Joe B is one of one too. Just like Marvin. 🔥🔥

    Legendary Anton Fig, The Drummer who's played with more Superstars than any other Drummer. He was David Letterman's Drummer with Paul Shaffer. I need to know what happened at @6:09 Joe went into another dimension for 20 seconds.

    Drummer with the hat is Anton Fig. He was the drummer with Paul Schaefer on David Letterman forever.
