I hadn't heard of Jimmy Barnes until last year when popped up as a Suggestion. He does a KILLER VERSION of " When Something is Wrong w/MY Baby"... LIVE. I wondered HOW had I never heard him before?? He sings it w/John Farnham-- BLEW ME AWAY, the RAWNESS + POWER in their voices singin' that song FLOORED me!! At 71- to come across something NEW, like you guys are DOING--I had my own Reaction too! Now I'm a FAN of JB, enjoying surprises in music at my age and Diggin' it here on RUclips.. REMEMBER the song, check IT OUT. I'll be watching WITH YOU.
GREAT CHANNEL, you guys. You interpret music from a different perspective than all the other Reactors, love it👍🏼 Keepin' it 💯 🎶🎵🎶👏👏👏 ✌🏼
Jimmy and John are music royalty here in Oz. They've been around almost all my life. They're lovely guys too and great friends. Have you heard Jimmy with Cold Chisel his original pub rock band?
Jimmy is a Australian icon been around forever dig deeper into him you won't regret it. Now Joe is one of the premier guitar player singer song writers of a generation. Joe has not bowed to the music industry and put out 12 great albums and sold out countless venues including the Royal Albert Hall all on his own. He opened for BB King at 12 years old. Keep digging guys it's a deep deep hole......enjoy
And Jimmy's daughter, Mahalia is Joe' lead background singer
John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes "When something is wrong with my baby" with Diesel's guitar solo is awesome. The Hey Hey its Saturday live version is best.
Epic suggestion.
That is a must
I second this
Jimmy is an Australian legend this performance combined with Joes amazing guitar skills is phenomenal. Please check out “when something is wrong with my baby” with Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham
John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes doing "Something is wrong with my Baby" will knock your socks off.
The live version though.
@@davidhandson2429 Absolutely
The live version of When Something is Wrong With My Baby, John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes. You will be mad that you haven’t heard this until this point in your life. Great reaction. ✌️🙏
Do you want to see Jimmy Barnes badder than bad? Watch Cold Chisel do "Wild Thing" live... (that's his band from back in the day), then follow it up with "Bow River," the 2003 live version, and see why is Aussies have the best rock in the world, imo...
Please check out Jimmy Barnes feat. Joe Bonamassa - Lazy...it's fire 🔥
Bow River at ringside is cold chisels best live song, cold chisel is a legendary band of Australia
How on earth is Joe Bonamassa NOT on Rolling Stones top 20 guitarists? Tommy Emmanuel is not there either, and he's purportedly the best ever 😳😲
rolling stone are a bunch of idiots who would not know what a good guitar is let alone who is a good guitarist
both Tommy and Phil Emmanuel should be in the top 100 with Tommy in the top 1- 2 of all time
@@sammy_dog yes sir.
I think the Roĺingstone people are ASLEEP! John Farnham isn't even on their Singers list? Let alone at No 1!
And imagine when Tommy was playing guitar for Farnham back in the day... could there be any more talent on stage?
Never heard of Jimmy before, I am so glad to know who he is now. His vocal delivery is amazing. Thanks guys!
Can't miss that tone coming out of that Gibson Goldtop made out of Mahogany wood, of course Joe play it in top form. Joe love's the Goldtop, he actually custom designed a prototype with black back for Gibson Guitars. Now known as the Gibson Bonomasa, beautiful instrument.
Great combo here with Jimmy and Joe! Jimmy one the best male voices and Joe gifted guitarist- both their names not on everyone's lips- but should be!! Their version of Deep Purple "Lazy" is a celebration! So much of Joe and Jimmy's music in their solo careers, too out there 😊😊😊🎸🎸🎤🎤to enjoy.
Jimmy can still sing and Joe is Joe as always. Nice choice guys. I suggest you watch those two doing Lazy by Deep Purple. Outstanding!! :)
Jimmy is 58 years old here he is 66 now and is still going strong. He released a song just after his 66th birthday last year it's a cover of a song sung by Sam and Dave called Soothe Me and he sings it with Sam Moore from Sam and Dave.
So please check this song out Jimmy Barnes Soothe Me with Sam Moore. Oh and Sam Moore is 86 years old in this and his voice blew me away.
Soothe me. Fantastic. When something is wrong with my baby is a cover of Sam and Dave
I wouldn't say Jimmy is 100% 'going strong' at the moment. He hasn't long started his recovery from back and hip surgery. He mentioned in a recent interview he's looking at taking around 6 months off to help with his recovery.
@@devilsadvocate2548 I ment musically not so much physically. Vocaly he is still going strong.
Jimmy and Tina Turner doing
Simply the Best is the street cred version.
Jimmy was in Cold Chisel(band) and they had a second singer Ian Moss. Mossy does a fantastic version of Georgia.
Chisel doing Bow River is a toe tappin , finger clickin rocker, it is a perfect song.
I saw Ian Moss at a pub near me a few years ago,he was still great
Gentlemen, You must listen to ''Joe Bonamassa - Riding With The Kings - From Live At The Greek Theatre'' . He performs in the same studio venue with Mahalia Barnes(Jimmy's Daughter). She is a chip off the old block, as they say. Joe sings as well. Good stuff.
Same setup, they do a Deep Purple song Lazy a real killer....Joe has such a catalogue its awesome.
Welcome to the Australian music scene with fantastic music that you have never heard of :
*Australian Tommy Emmanuel is one of the best guitarists in the world. See and hear him play 'Classical Gas' by Mason Williams and 'Initiation' by himself.
*Another incredible Aussie singer is John Farnham. He is considered to be rock royalty in Australia. John has sung with Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder and other world famous singers. Check out his duets with Jimmy Barnes. Also, check out John's performances with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Always choose a LIVE performance where John's Soul shines. He is a consummate entertainer.
*Jimmy Barnes' co-singer in their band, Cold Chisel is Ian Moss who sings and plays on guitar, the gorgeous 'Georgia' Live in concert.
If you react to the above you will have many Aussies watching !
Hey guys, great reaction. You will love checking out all of Jimmy's songs. Speaking of "Georgia", the guitarist from his band, Cold Chisel has done a cover of it, you should check that out - Cold Chisel Live 1983 Ian Moss performs Georgia on My Mind
yes I totally agree this Version of Georgia is amazing please react to this song you will not regret it
For sure !
Jimmy started out in a group called Cold Chisel, then went solo. He is an Australian Icon. More than 30 years after they originally played together, they attract generation after generation of new listeners. This is also evidence of Chisel's dominance of the pub rock era. They are the only Australian band to have sold more records after breakup than before and are among other bands that have become transgenerational. His son Jackie on the drums. 5 of his 7 children are in the music business in someway. His children have been performing since they were very young. Should check out his family. His daughter Mahalia has toured as a backup singer for Joe Bonamassa.
My favorite singer of all time - been listening to him since late 70's (a young teenager) with Cold Chisel then solo - If you ever wondered what happened to legendary rockers - this is it (legendary in Australia - I can listen to him sing anything - he is still releasing music and touring ( a recent short stint in hospital to get the body right but he promises he will be back touring) he does a great duet with Sam Moore (86) of Sam and Dave (60's singers) of one of their old songs 'Soothe Me' - they released a few months ago - worth a listen - he also did duets with John Farhnam and Tina Turner and INXS. The version of 'Good Times' Jimmy with INXS is a great song.
Jimmy Barnes daughter (Mahalia Barnes) is one of the backup singers in Joe's band. Check out Joe's Live at the Greek Theatre. She will be the singer on the right. Great concert. I was there back in 2015
better yet react to Riding with the Kings Mahalia takes lead
..and his son is the drummer here. The Barnes family are very talented
@@sammy_dogagree. Riding with the kings is Arghmazing
The Jimmy Barnes rabbit hole is an awesome one to discover, which will lead to the John Farnham rabbit hole and them there’s Diesel and on and on…. 💖thank you for this reaction 💖
I had the great pleasure of seeing these guys live…at different times in their career…Unforgettable 💖
Agree with Lizzy When Something IS Wrong with My Baby. Also their cover of Lazy.
Jimmy Barnes iconic Australian legend has 20 number 1 albums as lead singer of Cold Chisel in his younger days and with his successful solo career. He has collaborated with Joe on several songs including Lazy, and Walking Up The Road which he sings with his daughter Mahalia who was one of Joe’s longtime backup singers. Mahalia also sang a duet with Joe on Riding With The Kings. You should check out Jimmy as lead singer of Cold Chisel giving one of the best live performances with Wild Thing that you’d ever want to see.
So glad you're getting to hear our music legend ( well one of many), here in Australia! He's Scottish born but came to Australia as a kid.
He's originally a rocker, beginning his music career at the age of 17, with pub rock band Cold Chisel. He can do almost any genre of music and has such a raw power to his voice. All of his kids are musicians too. His eldest daughter tours with him and has worked with Joe Bonamassa too. Guys the drummer here is Jimmy's son.
As an Aussie myself and having grown up with Cold Chisel, may I suggest,
You've got nothing I want (Cold Chisel).
Working class man(Jimmy went solo and has had a huge solo career)
When something is wrong with my baby ( duet with John Farnham, another Aussie legend)
You can't go wrong with anything Jimmy Barnes or his band Cold Chisel have ever done... He's also done a number of songs with Joe. Jimmy also always does amazing duets (there were two singers in Cold Chisel so it set him up for working well with other singers). In the early 1990s, he actually did a duet version of Simply the Best with Tina Turner that manages to be even better than the original (their voices are amazing together) so that could be something to check out too?
Jimmy Barnes is Australian Rock Royalty
Jimmy is someone I have heard of either... but I like him. Joe now - he's Always great (yeah, my favorite after SRV. Y'all needed to listen to John Hiatt and Joe in "Down Around My House" I promise you'll love it. PAX, y'all!
You want to really here what Jimmy can do with his voice, his band "Cold Chisel" covered "Wild Thing" (The Troggs) live, and he absolutely smashed it. Not sure that anyone has ever done a better version. Do yourselves a favour and check it out
Jimmy's gravely vocals and Joe's singing guitar work perfectly together. Love this video.
I call it brassy. That growl ❤
Joe & jimmy doing Lazy.
Joe Bonamassa one of the best out there and he is a stellar musician in all circles of music, primarily the blues. He is special because he loves what he is doing. He lives it and breathes it even while sleeping. Has done special projects. Check him out with Black County Communion where he plays with John Boham's (Zeppelin's drummer) son Jason Boham, Glenn Hughes, I like the song "After Glow" or the "Song of Yesterday." Enjoy
New sub here, thanks guys! Welcome to Aus music, enjoy the ride.. you’re gonna love Barnesy, Farnesy, Diesel, Guy Sebastian, Matt Corby to name but a few… we are blessed down here 🇦🇺 😁👍🏻
Barnes sang in a band called Cold Chisel. You would love Cold Chisel: Bow River (ringside) if you enjoy interesting instrumentals. Harmonica Solo in a rock song. Its dope
Jimmy's daughter Mahalia inherited her dad's talent and is one of Joe's backup singers. Check out 'Riding with the King's with her and Joe! And another vote for doing Jimmy and Joe's cover of Lazy (and look for Brad Whitford of Aerosmith playing as well)
Great stuff! Check out Joe playing Albert King's "I'll Play The Blues For You" using Albert's Flying Vee live at The Greek Theater. And as always Joe always has an amazing band. Thanks for another great reaction gentlemen!
Bonamassa knows everything about guitars, especially vintage guitars...
Don’t forget Jimmy is 60 years old here.
That combo .. pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jimmy Barnes former lead singer of COLD CHISEL . Legends of Aussie music .
They are both worth a deep dive.
This is gold!!
Uh oh...I can feel some Farnham on down the line
Yep. I don't know if these goosebumps are gonna go away. Also Joe has the most epic fucking guitar face 😆 It's leveled up into being contagious. Spent that solo looking like I smelled something rotten
Killer vocalist. First time hearing him too. I love Joe and he's been paired up with some great singers but this guy is absolutely killer. Fantastic.
You'd love the great soul singer Charles Bradley performing a deeply soulful cover of Black Sabbath's 'Changes.' ruclips.net/video/zfaOf70M4xs/видео.html If you liked this, you'd definitely love the Charles Bradley version...so soulful and touching.
Thanks for playing so much great music. We old White Dawgs in our 70s love, love, love your channel.
At my Local Bar, I had them put y'all on the Big Screen TV for my fellow old Old Vets and me, and we rock our day away to great music, cold beer, and intellectual/smart commentary. Thanks, guys, for some joy in this sometimes crazy world.
Thanks for watching and sharing with your buddies! That’s awesome. We will definitely check Charles Bradley out.
Mahalia Barnes, Jimmy's daughter is one of Joe's backing singers. She's incredible. She does her own solo side gigs and has a large following
Now this is music more please 🎶
You two are my favorite reactors because you recognize the talent of both the musicians and the vocalists. Do yourselves a favor and check out the greatest soul/blues singer, Johnny Adams. I highly recommend "I don't wanna do wrong"
Check out Jimmy Barnes & John Farnham official video " When Something is Wrong w/MY Baby" !!! . . . you guys will love it
There are several high quality videos that were filmed in this studio with these session players. Another Joe/Jimmy cover is "Lazy" a cover of Deep Purple classic. Also a fun performance is Jimmy singing with fellow Australian Keith Urban on "Good Times" Then there are several Joe/Beth Hart performances - namely "Black Coffee" - a cover from Humble Pie , "Nutbush City Limits" and "Strange Fruit", originally from Billy Holliday.
Jimmy is an absolute Aussie legend. Do yourselves a favour and check out Something is wrong with my baby with John Farnham, live on Hey Hey it’s Saturday. Can I also recommend Soothe me with Sam Moore, Simply the best with Tina Turner and a great version of Mustang Sally. Jimmy’s daughter, Mahalia Barnes also sings with Joe Bonamassa, Riding with the kings. Back in the day when Jimmy was a wild man, he was in a band called Cold Chisel. One of the other band members, Ian Moss does a pretty cool version of Georgia. Just saying because you mentioned it. Jimmy’s been around for decades, enjoy the ride.😊
You are noticing the difference between the sound of SRV playing a Strat and Joe B's fatter sound playing a Les Paul, both play hard, but the guitars have very different tone qualities.
Do Jimmy Barnes band Cold Chisel ' breakfast at sweethearts ' 👍
also try Joe Bonmassa, Jimmy Barnes doing the song: Lazy.. in studio.. trust me.. :)
You should check out Mahalia Barnes, Jimmy's daughter with Joe Bonamassa. I think she has a little Aretha sound
you absolutely have to watch Joe Bonamassa Official - "Woke Up Dreaming" - Live From Royal Albert Hall
possible the best solo song on acoustic i have heard...amazing timing..amazing control and absolutely stunning
Try Jimmy with singing Mustang Sally and then try younger Jimmy with Tina Turner singing Your Simply the Best they are so awesome together.
That is as bad ass as it gets fellas.
Both these dudes are tough! Joe Bonamassa does a spectacular version of 'Just got paid' by ZZ Top!
Here is an earlier version of Jimmy Barnes " I gotcha " ruclips.net/video/e0a7ny786u0/видео.html
That room full of talent! Jimmy's daughter Mahalia toured as backup singer for Joe a long time.
Beth Hart & Bonnarassa " I'll take care of you 🔥🔥🔥❤️
Jimmy Barnes, now you are really getting an education.
If you want to know about Barnsey, take a look at one song , wild thing , mind blowing 😮
These three songs would be a great start to the Beth and Joe rabbit hole!!! Two of the greatest blues artists of today that can still be seen touring together and separately.

Your Music Mirrors Your Mind
Song suggestion: Stone Cold Hearted
Band/Artist: Bloodline
Album: Bloodline
Joe's first band
1.15.23. You need to check out Joe Bonamassa‘s🎸studio version cover of Led Zeppelin’s, Tea for one©️…… I actually prefer it over Led Zeppelin‘s version, that’s just my opinion.
Recommend you check out a much younger Jimmy Barnes leading vocals for Cold Chisel on Breakfast at Sweethearts, Cheap Wine, or Flame Trees, for starters.
Also Check out Joe doing "GOING DOWN" live.......(you will know when you see it)
Barnes and Bonammssa doing Easy....try that and the for some contrast Jimmy Barnes Cold Chisel doing Bow River the 2003 version with Mossy singing as well.....that will blow your head off
You have just entered 2 rabbit holes...... Joe Bonamasa and Jimmy Barnes ( Cold Chisel ).
Do yourselves a favour..... have a listen to the cover of Sam and Dave’s When Something is Wrong With My Baby , by Jimmy and John Farnham..... also Johnny Diesel on guitar and finale harmony.
All 3 will blow you away......
The live tv version from Hey Hey , Its Saturday will blow you away.....
Is Pink Floyd live quality.
Guys you want to see BEST live performance EVER. I don’t say it lightly. It’s wild think by Jimmy’s band cold chisel. Trust me you will be SHOCKED.
Jimmy Barnes superstar in Australia. His daughter was backup singer for Joe. This was Joe's band at the time. Thanks for the great reaction. ❤🦁
Shout out to Georgia vibes from ..the Genious of Ray Charles..remember, all your greatest British Rock bands, Beatles, Stones, Barnes, were teens when bootlegs of Elvis, Chuck Berry, ..found the way across the Pond..and BONAMASSA totally carries the SRV , and 6 other greatest Guitarists of all time!..Cuz , Joe don't take no $#@$! ...produces and records and plays with and where he wants too, on his own damn dime!!...
Whew..well, got that off my chest!..LOVE TO YOU Airplay Beats!!!💯
Check out Jimmy Barnes daughter Mahalia Barnes with the songs " Ridin with the kings" and "Nasty Gal" She's got an amazing voice as well.
The track was written by Don Walker (he played keyboards in Cold Chisel with Jimmy). The lead guitarist for Cold Chisel Ian Moss plays an amazing version of "Georgia on my mind".
ruclips.net/video/NhFXjzRRv4w/видео.html
He released this song back in 93", this remake was in 2016 from memory and it's in his studio in his mansion.
Jimmy is rich rich, like Shaq rich lol.
One of Australia's biggest singers with a career that spans almost 50 years.
If you guys Love guitar (I know your do!!) Check out The messiah will come" by Gary Moore...another great artist taken from us too soon......
Ok guys, if your gonna check out Joe B, especially with Beth Hart. Play I’ll take care of you. Live at the Beacon Theatre NYC. After watching it you’ll understand why. They share a certain chemistry that I’ve never seen before. I’ve seen Beth play with the late great Jeff Beck. Trust your boy Tommy. And if you wanna take a deep dive. Check out Joe Live at The Royal Albert Hall. BB King met and played with him when Joe was about 12. He’s just a Blues Guitar Prodigy. Great Job as always. 😎
I dont know if you noticed he is constantly adjusting volume and tone nobs. So you were both right there were biting sections and smooth and all in-between. Joe has a touch that is crazy he uses dynamics better than anyone I've ever seen. Check out some where he sings, he has a terrific voice. Something different would be
It's "You Shook Me" from the MuddyWolf Tour

Love your reactions guys. You may wanna check out Joe Bonamassa's "Takin' the HIt" from Live at Rockpalast. It'll blow you away.
You should react to riding with kings!! ...Joe bonamassa and Jimmy Barnes' daughter, Mahalia Barnes!! She straight rips it on the mic
You got the Mozart of Guitar and the Robert Plant of singing with Joe and Jimmy.
MIght seem like a strange place for this BUT - You guys should check out Derek & The Dominos LIVE from the Fillmore - "Got To Get Better In A Little While" and or "Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad?" some of Clapton's greatest playing every captured....
Jimmy’s daughter Mahalia has been a backing vocalist for Joe for about 7 years.
