Overhangs make aqueducts possible. Which is amazing on it's own. I don't think I've ever tired putting a terrain block on them before though. Has anyone tried?
@@aaavellone I haven't tried overhangs but they are probably the same as platforms, levees, and sluices that I have tried and it won't let you put terrain on them.
Beavers are getting stung by bees and that's affecting your happiness level. I think anytime a beaver enters the radius of a beehive they have a chance to get stung. Usually I try to space my hives out to avoid overlapping roads or other areas the beavers who aren't farming have to travel. I think it helps reduce the bee stings.
Bee stinging is OP and should be nerfed, the sensible little ladies know they will die themselves if they sting, so it's last ditch for them. (ex-beekeeper, never stung)
"There should be like an ultimate priority" You mean like, there should be a way to tell the builders that something is a higher priority than normal, and then a way to tell them it's even higher priority than that? Like, two priority levels? Yeah, it would be really handy if they had that 😂
Between Skye and RCE I almost think they should have a “reset priority” button for when the player has highest prioritized too many things and needs to reset all current building projects to normal so they can highlight the project that actually matters can get built first.
Well, to inject some (humorous) reason into this. Maybe a supreme priority that can only be selected for ONE thing at a time and refuses to allow more till it's done? Yeh that works for me
2:29 You can build powershafts on the bridges soo you don’t have to clear out the trees and also for paths you should do it over the farms soo you can get even more products
The world is so small. Polish dude watching (I think English dude, strictly from the accent) a youtube video on a Japanese-American PC, with French internet (Orange) on Chinese chair (Delagear) after having some Mexican food of a guy playing Polish game. Life is good. You know what could make it better? A beer. Imma gonna get me a beer and I'll watch that thang. So thanks Skye for the trip around the world xD
You could add some more crops below the water pumps. On the level of the large tree farm. Crops on land and more spadderdock in the channel. Fun video.
Hi Skye, welcome back~ I have missed your videos and just caught up to this episode. Great video as always. I do hope you extend the pool of water near the pumps all the way to the edge of the map though, unless there is a suprise project waiting in the wings
You could have built the gravity batteries straight on the vertical shafts without the need for the top vertical to horizontal connection. In V6 the power connections are also on the bottom of the buildings/factories/batteries/turbines
Enjoying this series, glad I found your channel. Seems like a missed opportunity not to put in the Dynamite before they built the wall. That way you could ensure you could reach it without having to add extra stairs. Consider dynamiting below the gravity battery to enable them to be more powerful.
Couple of Things. 1. Your beehives are causing injuries in your colony, which is reducing your overall happiness. Try to not have them overlap paths or buildings where non farmers are walking/working. They are still gonna sting your farmers but the only remedy for that is robots or not having bees. 2. When dynamiting reservoirs deeper, use overhangs instead of stairs down. The beavers can build infinitely down, so you just have to build an over hang with 2 blocks between them covering the top layer and you can reach the entire inside, making dynamite laying way easier. 3. I don't know if you fixed it since you never mentioned it, but never clicked on it this episode and you do fix things off camera. One of your dirt excavators was only set to 1 worker, which is why dirt was so slow, you probably didn't need the other excavator. 4. You can use over hangs to transfer power over trees and crops, to save on space, you can also use bridges and overhangs to path over crops and trees to provide more field space for your farmers. 5. The new impermeable floor lets you build aqueducts using overhangs/platforms, can be a cool way to get water to far edges of the map. 6. Looks like you need more spaderdock, looked like the storage was almost empty. Increasing your chestnut production would probably help this too. 7. You should switch to the more efficient water pumps that the Folktails have access to, 3 beavers in 1 building producing about same as 5 beavers in 5 buildings. 8. If you plan on getting into Robots I suggest upping your potato production, its the more efficient way to make fuel for the bots. 9. I know it doesn't seem like it, but you will need another tree farm. The mine you are building eats gears and treated planks like mad to produce scrap metal, so you will have to increase production of both, which means you will need to up plank production and all of a sudden you will be out of logs. Also all the end tier foods need logs to burn for cooking. 10. Finally, only have 1 sluice on your reservoir means at some point you are gonna outpace your water usage that only 1 block can provide, I am honestly surprised you aren't running into this issue already. 11. Also, stop using very high for EVERY building project, it surprises me that after 3 years you still do not know how the building priority in this game works. If no buildings are prioritized, the beavers will build them in the order that you placed them, if they cannot, either due to item shortage or unreachable, they then move down the line of items in the order you placed them, until they can and start that project. They follow this logic for ALL priorities, so if you Very High all the projects, that only means that they will do that before the other priorities, but will still follow the logic of order placed etc... etc. They do not work on projects faster just because its set to Very High. You could use "High" priority on whatever projects you need done, and then use "Very High" if you find you need something done right this minute.

I know that feeling of being a stress to lunatic the stress of being a lunatic cuz I'm partially the same way. Got to have some symmetry and organization
I Was gonna point out the "overflow problem" since a few episodes ago, but in the end seem point less, still a good confirmation that you still need one even with the sluice gate
I'm curious as to how much of the area behind the dam will be for water.. Or if you will have an island colony up behind the dam, surrounded by water and bridges.. Loving having you and Picture back.. 💚
I myself just put things to second highest priority, because there's always a chance that there is an emergency, where priority needs to be higher. "If everything is set to the highest priority, then nothing is!" -Syndrome
I absolutely love how Skye rewards himself for his stupidity. You know what me being a lemon really was a smart thing because if I had more beavers then my food would have gone down more. So good thing I screwed up. Picture you need to straighten him up and try to make him somewhat smarter. I know it's a hard job to make an idiot presentable and seem semi intelligent when they aren't at all. But we all believe in you, Picture. As always Skye, great episode and I hope someday you realize that you made a mistake on this map and figure it out.
instead of building a 2nd dirt digger, you could have put in 3 more beavers in the one that was build already and have gotten 75% more production out of it :P
Skye, your leaving so many construction rubble that your beavers cant clear around the buildings or construction area. Also cattails & wheat for bread can be new food variety, you got some green area for wheat
I build the gravity batteries as high as possible and dynamite down to the bottom and barely use a quarter of the stored power so it is a bit of a waste doing it my way.
Blast the ground under the gravity batteries to get more power, but I think there are only 2 or 3 levels under that part of the map until you hit the very bottom.
Another great video Skye! Small question though; I think you still have one worker in the first dirt excavator you build. That means they produce more slowly, right?
Would it be worth moving all the chestnuts further back and increasing the spuds and carrots for the future.. There is room to extend your tree farm to the south.. 💚
I still think you should upgrade to large water pumps or explain why thry shouldn't be used. You have plenty of space where the current pumps are with a tiny bit of adjustment.
Hey Skye, glad you're back. You could make a backdrop behind your dancehall\housingcomplex with a wall of small warehouses. The many colour of boxes makes it look almost like pixels. Propably looks nice and you can store some food in there

It may have been said in past episodes, but are you going to do another mega power wheel river made of bad water? Similar to what you did before you a had a vacation.
Just for the achievement though. A large reason for building those power plants was to drive all the pumps that the sluices have rendered mostly redundant
Just out of curiosity, the Bad Water source in the back of the map, is that constant? If it is, potentially, you can use it as a never ending power supply- with plenty of batteries included
you do know you can hold the shift when deleting and it saves you having to click yes and you get to destroy things you didnt want to demolish accidentally lool
Sluices are not very good for controlling the height of water _behind_ them (only in front). So a dam or floodgates are needed. The height doesn't need to be adjusted, so a dam is good enough.

IF you use the new overhangs high enough for a path or to run a power shaft you can keep your trees and plants.
Or you could try under path power
New overhangs are great for getting things over trees
