I had it done in May of this year for the first time and noticed a difference within a week went back yesterday for my second and I didn’t feel a thing either time this really worked.
Got mine 11/15/23. I think my right one came out. I don't know what kind they r but my Dr had me set up appt in 6 months. I'll go over this week to have him ck them out. Thanks for the info! I subscribed.
I had one inserted in my left eye it’s working for dry eyes but now I am getting little water on that eye what can be the best thing for that watery eye burning of eye is 90% better thanks for your openion
I had temporary collagen plugs put in last Wednesday. So far, so good, my tearing and irritation has been greatly reduced. I'm only using artificial tears a couple of times daily. I was told if I like them I can go back in 3 months and get permanent ones.
I had this done recently 2 in the bottom of the eye with severe dry eyes and a postnatal drip It has actually helped my postnatal drip as well as my eyes Could feel the relief as soon as the plugs was put in No pain at all And takes if 5 minutes

I had punctal plugs procedure in july of this year, and so far i haven't noticed any change in my MGD (nor good or bad). But now that i've watched this video, I'm afraid I may have complications in the following months, so I'm considering asking my ophtalmologyst to extract the plugs. By the way, thanks to your channel, my contidion has improved A LOT. Greetings from Argentina, South America.
I’m using rastasis now. I’m considering plugs. I have a friend who has them put in every 3 months and loves them. I used Ziidra in the past. That work great but it’s so damned expensive.
I had plugs put in & they fell out I guess. The doctor did replace them several years later. But not sure if they are still in or not. I am now using Retassis but it has not helped at all.
I had temporary plug inserted twice they didn’t work at all. Three days ago, I had the permanent one inserted. It is comfortable, I don’t feel it but my eyes is tearing worst. I do t know what to do, I am 63 female and suffers from diabetes and hypertension. Could that be a reason why I can’t get relief? What do you suggest? I really hate tearing because I am constantly on zoom meetings.

Accutane caused my chronic dry eye and light sensitivity. I've been living with the conditions for nearly 18 years now. Restasis helped the CDE a lot, but when I had to drop my health insurance, I could no longer afford the drops. The symptoms returned the day after I ran out. That was 4 years ago. I'll be getting my plugs in June. Fingers crossed they work.
I was on accutane, as well. Punctal plugs helped me a lot. But, a bigger help has been the new nasal spray, Tyrvaya. With punctal plugs and tyrvaya, I'm much better. Tyrvaya stimulates a nerve, which causes more tears to be produced. Good luck!
I do have punctal plugs in both eyes. I still use cequa by drs. Order. Nope, don’t help me this time. This is 2nd time. First time I felt they helped. That dr. Left practice and another dr. Put 2nd set in. No, I feel worse.

I just had this done in one eye after eyelid surgery. It only took a few seconds and I didn’t feel a thing. Excellent results.

Are permanent punctual plugs made with any material other than silicone? I am allergic. I am having collagen temporaries put in today.

Can temporary/dissolvable plugs be removed before they dissolve? Mine are causing lots of problems and I want them removed.
I had to have mine removed after only a few days as they were causing a reaction. They flushed them through with a tiny syringe.

That's probably why you have dry eye
