Seeing Beethoven play the piano in the dark with a thunder storm going on, lightning and everything, it really shows the pain and struggle he went through!
@NotBest713 they've actually sung in a few videos before (i think there was one singing in the professional vs amature series and one video where they were taught by singers (bret singing pop and eddy classical?) if I remember correctly😅). And while they definitely used a lot of autotune and the singing still sounds kind of forced/unrefined at times i feel like there's definitely still some technique in play!
It's very fitting that this is one of the most emotional performances from B2TSM, given that Beethoven pioneered the Romantic style, which is all about passion and emotion and expression
Eddy's vocal might not be the best but I can see he put so much effort in improving his singing skill. And the song is just SO DAMN GOOD OMG my mind was totally blown away. It would be so sad to bid farewell to you guys, but I'm still looking forward to the rest of Twoset Production! Love you, my musical geniuses!
This is my favourite MV so far. It was so beautifully shot and directed. And the lyric “Only art and science can rage men to the level of god” is so great
It’s beautiful to see these two young souls maturing and tackling deeper subjects. B&E didn’t have this level of emotional nuance when they started out, even though it was the lightness and humor that made them so popular. Kudos to the writers, and to TSV for perhaps bearing their souls by playing the roles of these composers: the comedy is done … my true eternally beloved
@@israellaiThe leap is probably(I think?) from 1st mvt. of the 9th Symphony (original passage climbs to a high B-flat before descending to a C# over a Neapolitan chord, similar to this one).

Oh my, Eddie, this was wonderful! I think of all the ones I’ve seen this is by far my favourite. You sang that so well. The lyrics were beautiful & woven into the melody so well & eloquently. Fantastic work Eddie, Brett & all of the team who worked on these videos. I’ll miss TwoSet, but I wish you every success as you move onto this next stage in your musical journey.
This has such a ethereal feeling of hopeless loneliness, both the mv and the song itself but it still spreads the lesson of doing what you love no matter the set back Truly beautiful, can't wait for the next ones
It’s beautiful. The irony is when you posted it. Beeth Beethoven is deaf amd I deaf. And today was the day I got another cochlear implant so I can hear more. I don’t think I’ll forget this one.
This piece made me start to understand why Brett and Eddy decided to take down most of their past videos; the remaining, and of course, these last six farewell ones, are how they two want to be remembered. It’s their legacy, well-thought out legacy. They see themselves as artists, and want to leave the best for the history to remember. Thanks for all the happiness and inspiration you have brought us, Twoset. All the best for the next life chapter!
they want their legacy to be 6 rap songs? seriously? just forget about all the years of work they’ve done that inspired a great many to enjoy and appreciate classical music and this is what they want as their legacy. makes sense bro
@ well i used the word ‘parody’ is very loosely, but their are references to the composers’ work. ur right though they’re not parodies i’ll change that
This MV is so powerful, I can feel Beethoven's desperation and loneliness in Eddy's acting. He and Brett have developed into amazing performers and I'm glad they're sharing that part of themselves with us
I am speechless. His pain and love, so sharp, so touching. "They will cast me out if they find out that I`m out of hearing" -- how can you live when your life is music and your hearing is falling. And yet, he lives. He lives and makes his sonatas. "We will live for art and for mankind..." - I can`t, so much power in those words. I stood up, as if it is a hymn.
The part in the glass box reminded me of Eddie’s bout with health issues. When he couldn’t even walk because of all the stress and pressure. I felt like it really captured that sense of being trapped and immobilized when struggling with a chronic health condition. I am really happy you are choosing to end on this note. This is powerful stuff! ❤
I do appreciate the nice reference from Beethoven's famous letter to his brother (Heiligenstadt Testament) about his pain and suffering, and most importantly, how he found the meaning of life in arts and music. Beethoven's spirit is really one of the greatest in human history. Thanks for bringing me this touching piece, Twoset.
I won't stop giving thanks and praise until the very end! Brett and Eddy, you've done tremendous work for the wonderful art of classical music and this world wouldn't be the same without you. Thank you for everything you've done these past 11 years, for every skit you made us laugh with, every note you played on your violins (in and out of tune 😉), for every theory you nerded out about, every tiger mum insult, every piece of twoset apparel, for every GO PRACTICE and for simply sharing your passion with us! You deserve a good rest for sure and we can't wait to see what the future holds for you guys! We'll miss you dearly and now, there's really no excuse anymore to simply GO PRACTICE!
... and then they deleted it. Yeah "Thanks" 🙄All they did with that move is prove that the classical world is nothing but bitches and divas, and it's as inaccessible as it's always been. This isn't about the full right to end whenever they want. I don't think anyone argues that right. But deleting the content is a dick move, and what you'd expect from elitists who preach against popification of classical music, then market popification of classical music. But hey, buy the merch!

Honestly, watching you both roasting, making jokes, and even went and made ASMR videos of Asian moms and households were all so enjoyable! The years I watched you helped me get through graduate school as a music therapy major with concentration in the piano even when I didn't have the years of piano or musicianship experience my peers had(I only started playing around with the piano in High School, and had my first piano lessons trying to get into undergrad as a music major... what was I even thinking?!). Your passion for music really pulled me through knowing that practice, effort, and genuine love for music really goes a long way. My favorite composer overcame his suffering , can we all learn a valuable life lesson from him? Brett and Eddy, you really are "pulling out all the stops", so to speak. We are forever grateful.
I feel like this video revealed to me something about Beethoven I haven't thought about before. How his passion and feeling of mission guided his through struggle. Thank you very much, Brett and Eddy. All those years your work was not in vain, you will be remembered.
The lyrics are referencing to his Heiligenstadt Testament 😭 Thank u very much for this banger Twoset! You did great Eddy! ❤✨ I love Beethoven so I'll definitely put this on my playlist as well :')
So. Bach was the diss track, Mozart the banger, Beethoven the emo song, Tchaik will be the ballad and Shosty probs a death metal screamer. Cool. Very cool. And then track number six, which is likely either all of them together or a Paganini cameo. Perfect. I already preordered the album. TBH all of these are so great... Good job guys! I can barely wait to hear the rest. And for the lifestream.
The pencil. When Beethoven's hair was subjected to chemical analysis it was found to have high levels of lead. One possible source was considered to be the lead that was used in his pencils.

I love how it went from Mozarts scores with nearly no annotation to Beethoven who’s scores always was covered in tears and scribbles.
It's very fitting that this is one of the most emotional performances from B2TSM, given that Beethoven pioneered the Romantic style, which is all about passion and emotion and expression
I cant believe i will be going into 2025 without the iconic twoset violin, will miss u guys
And the lyric “Only art and science can rage men to the level of god” is so great
I like it too. I think he said “raise mankind” to the level of gods.
There are subtitles
"true eternally beloved" must be referencing the Immortal Beloved letter..... genius
AHH OMG THE VOCALS?? THE CINEMATOGRAPHY?? ITS SO GOOD-
Best farewell.
RIGHTTT?? Deff my favourite so far!!
Cool, using the minor mode of the Pathetique Sonata Adagio Cantabile and also the Scherzo of the 9th symphony
Omg I didn't even realise it was the pathetique sonata. Now I can't unhear it!
@@CougheePls I didn't put a finger on it until the leap down (Bb to E)
Plus moonlight sonata for the rap.
I'm still trying to figure out what that leap to the high G was... It sounds SOOOO familiar but it's escaping me
I was tryna figure out how the melody relates to Beethoven, it was so familiar but different. Thx man
@@israellaiThe leap is probably(I think?) from 1st mvt. of the 9th Symphony (original passage climbs to a high B-flat before descending to a C# over a Neapolitan chord, similar to this one).
“DEAFNESS DOESN'T PREVENT COMPOSERS HEARING THE MUSIC. IT PREVENTS THEM HEARING THE DISTRACTIONS.”
― Terry Pratchett, Soul Music
The great mathematician, Euler (everything is named after him because he discovered everything) went blind and then he was most productive. He said, "I have less distractions bruv"
I know people generally like tchaik's more BUT THIS IS THE BEST SO FAR IN MY OPINION IM NOT EVEN KIDDING
This has such a ethereal feeling of hopeless loneliness, both the mv and the song itself but it still spreads the lesson of doing what you love no matter the set back
Truly beautiful, can't wait for the next ones
It’s beautiful. The irony is when you posted it. Beeth Beethoven is deaf amd I deaf. And today was the day I got another cochlear implant so I can hear more.
I don’t think I’ll forget this one.
❤❤❤
Did the procedure go well?
I hope it went well for you
WOW I knew it will be great, but this is art. My favourite song of B2TSM
This perfectly captures my current state which is kinda isolating. Thanks for introducing me to the person of Beethoven
@Taffles-hh9cuthese songs aren’t parodies at all tho? They’re well thought originals
@ well i used the word ‘parody’ is very loosely, but their are references to the composers’ work. ur right though they’re not parodies i’ll change that
曲子和演唱都太好了,能感受到想衝破牢籠呼吸嶄新自由空氣的渴望。
謝謝Brett 和Eddy,無論將來您們做什麼樣的選擇,我都永遠支持,並獻上最誠摯的祝福。
Thank you, Brett and Eddy. I survived the pandemic because of your videos. ❤
This MV is so powerful, I can feel Beethoven's desperation and loneliness in Eddy's acting. He and Brett have developed into amazing performers and I'm glad they're sharing that part of themselves with us
I really like the idea of presenting the great composers in such a modern way
"Only art and science can raise men to the level of gods" 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
I like the detail of how the chord progressions are ones that beethoven frequently used, which gives it the beethoven feel.
TwoSet we will miss you
I like the way the Scherzo is drumming in the background while he's rapping
I mean, it’s sounds like Beethoven because his pieces are playing in the background.
THOSE VOCALS! Damn, Beethoven/E just let lose on the vocals! The range and the tone is absolute *chef's kiss! Incredible production!
Yes.
@ they’re free to not hide behind a NYT paywall and actually tell the fans if it’s not the case. That approach alone smacks of elitism.
@@Apollostoweloh someone’s obsessed.. commenting on all the mvs, throwing accusations here and there, slandering whatever brett and eddy did like the most rightest person on earth, invalidating their feelings, acting entitled to b&e’s rights and property. but yea sure, keep going lol
For those who are complaining, you're the problem. This is a better goodbye than those cheesy "we're leaving RUclips videos". Thank you, Twoset, for all everything. I just wished I bought the practice jerseys.
I don't know all the complaints that have been happening, but I feel like the complaints against Brett and Eddie deleting most of their videos without explanation are valid, no? This send off of theirs is cool and all but like.... I really hope they explain why they deleted all of their videos.
Lol what a blind simp
Fans can have criticisms and their silence and deletion of their old vids are a dick move
I wouldn’t call the fans ‘the problem’, most are just confused about what’s happening, since not everyone knew about the NY times article
@@chiveCakesi mean at the end of the day it's their work. it's not like we're entitled to even a minute of video, although it'd be nice considering the support of the fanbase throughout the years.
either way, i respect it-i'm certain they've got their reasons (if it isn't a part of the lore like people've been saying to begin with). this is such a great sendoff that i can just about turn a blind eye to the rest.
not buying the twoset merch is
relable and LaMeNtAbLe 😢
Of the farewell videos they've released so far, this is my favourite. Love the musical references, the intensity, the depth, and of course, Eddy's singing!
This one is my favorite so far. So much passion! Perfect depiction of Beethoven.
Lyrics
The pain, the void,
innermost suffering, innermost noise
They called me calloused
Called me unfeeling
Can't let them know what I am concealing
All of the despair
The misery
If I fall back
Will you forgive me
I'll be cast out
For if they find out
That I cannot shout
That I'm out of hearing
The happiest days of my life are deserted in darkness
The weight of my chains
I swallow my fate
I suffer in silence
All of the pain I feel revealed a comforting solace
I cannot leave this world
untill my mission's accomplished
When my heart is burning
Art shall me my guide
For I will journey
From hell to paradise
I must live
For art and for mankind
May God give me the strength
to conquer my design
Play a wrong not a simple mistake
Play without passion the man is deranged
Music us wild
And we are obliged
to turn our attention sometimes to lower thing
Liberation of the soul
Is the one thing we can control
Only art and science
Can raise men to the level of gods
I will live
For art and for mankind
An artist that is true
And divine strips away his pride
We will live
For art and for mankind
Let freedom music
and truth interwine
My dying breath
the comedy is done
My music, my muse
my true eternally beloved
Brett and Eddy, this will be buried down in the hundreds of comments, but genuinely, thank you for making content on violin and classical music for all these years. You have made me laugh and smile countless of times. Hope you two have a great life and future ahead❤
From tsv: We’ll be hosting a live stream hangout on RUclips on December 21st at 8 PM EST! Grab some bubble tea, and join us as we answer your questions and share some life updates. See you soon.
Eddie is living his best classical idol life and im here for it
The passion, the anger, the loneliness, the hope...can be heard in every note. Autotune may help with pitch but it doesn't replace the emotion, and Eddy hit every single one. Thank you for your beautiful singing, it conveyed the emotions so perfectly! Hope no one at work notices my red eyes 🥹
DUDE, EDDY BE SERVING VOCALS!!!
eddy's vocals really are hauntingly lovely here.. the visuals are as striking as the lyrics they lend imagery to. i fear these videos are getting pumped out too fast for my liking, im still trying to process this. but thank you b&e and the tsv team once again for your efforts.
as sad as i am to see my childhood go, i am so very grateful for the impact you have had on my life. i was intermediate at most when i started watching your vids, beginner dare i say since i watched eddy's tutorials. now im in my last year as concertmaster in a senior youth orchestra; how time flies.
i am very glad that you decided to make a decision that will allow you to take care of yourselves properly. it cannot be more well deserved.
ling ling wannabes, keep practicing!
-just a long time fan
Dear Brett and Eddy,
I loved watching your videos. My favorites were the ones with Hilary Hahn. I played the violin when I was in the fourth grade but gave it up. Your videos helped inspire me to buy a violin and to start to learn the instrument again as a 37 year old. I practice everyday and I love the process of learning this instrument. Thank you for putting yourselves out there and sharing your passion with us. You both have made my life immeasurably better. I wish you both the best as you go forward in life. Go find what makes you whole. I love you two. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some practice to do.
It’s beautiful and makes me cry. It reminds me of one scene of Twoset virtual tour. Beethoven Eddy said like he has a reason to live to share his passion for music. This is a beautiful gift for us. Thanks a lot.
I know this is not new for Beethoven but this is a MASTERPIECE!!
I got actual goosebumps, I might have a bias in B²TSM ❤️
Every single one of your B2TSM songs have been So Different and ALL SO GOOD!!!! I am amazed and impressed. You have worked so hard, you're so talented, and it shows here. Thanks for all you've done and I hope you are proud of what you've accomplished, because it's incredible
Gentlemen, I am by no means an instrumentalist of any sort, but I have enjoyed your work these past years. Bugger any negative feedback that may have come about. Do what you must to continue enjoying your lives and your craft. I am waiting for the release of all these final pieces so I can decide which hits me the hardest. I'll give that one a proper karaoke treatment so other true believers can echo your tales like the bards of old. Godspeed!
Goodbye Brett and Eddy 2013-2024 you two were legends, I will practice to carry your legacies.
But Seriously, this is my favorite of the three songs so far, can't wait to see what song 4, 5, and especially 6 sound like
Wow hold it, they are not dead man!
@@maum2732 I know they aren't dead, they're just retiring
i love how every member gets to have their own solo songs💕
0:50 this part gives me chills
Honestly, watching you both roasting, making jokes, and even went and made ASMR videos of Asian moms and households were all so enjoyable! The years I watched you helped me get through graduate school as a music therapy major with concentration in the piano even when I didn't have the years of piano or musicianship experience my peers had(I only started playing around with the piano in High School, and had my first piano lessons trying to get into undergrad as a music major... what was I even thinking?!). Your passion for music really pulled me through knowing that practice, effort, and genuine love for music really goes a long way. Thank you so much and I cant wait to see the great things you'll do in the future after some much needed rest and refueling! Burnout is no joke(that was my grad thesis)
Super cool! Love how the lyrics makes you think about things from the perspective of the famous late composer Beethoven. Fantastic work! Hope both of you and your staff enjoy a very healthy & Happy Holiday season. Thank you, Brett & Eddy. Sending warm hugs filled with lots of love, peace, joy, laughter, and hope. 🫂💕💯🎄🎼🎵🎶🎹🥰🥰
OMG, crying my eyes out at the music and Eddy's singing, and the angst I feel to my very core, feeling what Beethoven went through with his torment over going deaf.
Although it is not the day, but happy 254th birthday, Ludwig van Beethoven.
hit the hardest
The lyrics are referencing to his Heiligenstadt Testament 😭
Thank u very much for this banger Twoset! You did great Eddy! ❤✨
I love Beethoven so I'll definitely put this on my playlist as well :')
Thank you bringing up the Heiligenstadt Testament reference, reading it has given me new understanding of what Beethoven went through.
@@Highlander515glad to know that! His spirit, bravery and determination are unmatched!

Now I wanna hear Brett sing a death metal song more than I did before lol

Shosty was a political rap
These are lovely yet poignant goodbyes. Thank you for the ultimate musical journey. 💐 (quietly sent from the viola section)

Lyrics hit hard. Better than most pop songs these days.
We need the lyrics😭
This song really is far too good

Thank you Twoset for everything❤
Comments weren’t lying about those vocals, Eddy killed it here omgg
'We will live for art and for mankind' Eddy/Beethoven
Don't start with this, I'm gonna start crying again
“Only art and science can raise men to the level of gods” HELLO THESE LYRICS GO SO HARD
The pencil. When Beethoven's hair was subjected to chemical analysis it was found to have high levels of lead. One possible source was considered to be the lead that was used in his pencils.
You absolutely destroyed with this one! Eddy singing and the harmonies...My, this was so good.
Thank you for all the good times, TwoSetViolin. Wishing you two the best of luck with your future endeavors. We appreciate you!

Twosets be releasing mv more often than my own kpop/jpop bias
Eddy and Brett, THIS IS SO WELL DONE!! I absolutely love the melody, which one of the fans said uses a Beethoven chord progression. Well, it’s fabulous.
Eddy, your singing is the best I’ve ever heard you sing! Well done!!! You reached notes I’ve never heard you reach!
Thank you, dear young B and E for these videos.
God bless you in your lives and new pursuits!
From B in the USA
no not just a chord progression its an actual melody from Beethoven turned into minor mode, from pathetique sonata, also using from the 9th symphony
@ thank you for the info! I’m going to check those out in closer detail.
I'm gonna miss you guys so much. Don't stay away too long. Rest, recover and live of course. But the world needs you and what you have to offer. When you're ready, if you can, please think about a comeback. Until then, take good care and thanks for everything. With all my heart.
2:36 the comedy is done. TWOSETS comedy is done😭
twoset is my whole time on youtube. ther brilliant jokes, their music inspiration, and the love musicians feel when watching them. I am very sad that they are quitting because of pressure and hate from the comment section. I NEVER have hated or complained about their vids. and the reason they are quitting is because of other pepoles hate. why do you have to be so picky? respect their channell! farewell twoset. you will never be forgotten.
Wonderful MV
huge appreciation to these two souls who contributed so much, I’m very happy and proud of their bravery to do what’s necessary for their own wellbeing and happiness! I will always support you guys, you have supported me with all your stress, tears and effort to create content for us, and now its time for me to repay you guys with my full understanding and love for y’all in your future endeavours! Love you Brett and Eddy❤❤
Thank you for putting so much thought into this farewell letter and gift to your millions of fans. It’s epic and the production quality blew me away. Those lyrics, those vocals…. Holy moly. Thank you Brett and Eddy. You sparked a resurgence in appreciation of classical music and you’ll be greatly missed. There’s a void where your videos were. I’m thankful that we had you for the last couple of years. I hope that you will occasionally pop in to send us an interesting video or two to say hi or catch us up. Your legacy is possibly sparking an interest in music in a whole generation of musician newbies. All the best! May we see you both succeed beyond your wildest dreams but lead a happy and healthy life too.
"The comedy is done" is such a good line
Well, that actually was Beethoven’s last words. As he laid dying he turned to his friends and said “Plaudite amici, comedia est finita” (Applauad my friends, the comedy is over)
Everything in this song gives me chills it’s amazing
The singing and acting actually went hard. While its hard to say goodbye i’m glad we get to see them for a couple last videos. 😢
The harmonies at 1:06 are so beautiful! I love this song, it's so raw and shows you a side of Beethoven that is often forgotten. Thank you Brett and Eddy for this beautiful song❤️
I cannot decide if this or Tchaikovsky one to be my favorite. Ive been humming this one the most, though.
this song brought me to heaven, thanks for the amazing song and production twoset (Eddy's vocals was insane)
I love and will miss you twoset
Every member of B2TSM is getting a solo debut

My man, this had no business going this hard.
This sent chills down my spine, I'm saddened that we are halfway until the end but glad that the farewell is absolutely epic. I'll never forget all the motivation Twoset has given me to practice over the years.
