      It was a challenge for us since we are mostly in canyons and waterfalls! The views are amazing and make the trek up so worthwhile!!

    burrr. its gonna get chilly up there in a few weeks! where you said not to turn left, I turned left last time I went, lol. It loops up & around over to Ice House Saddle. Little tedious, but a fun trail. there was a snow valley I had to maneuver through ❄

    • @hikebytes
      @hikebytes  Месяц назад

      Thank you, good to know ! I should have said the shorter route to Icehouse saddle, the way you went sounded rougher. Never hiked this in snow, now that would be a bigger challenge for sure 👍🏻

    Thanks for the video! I’m curious when you two went. Partner and I have been wanting to hike the trail again but put it off due to the fire. The NFS site indicates that area isn’t closed off so, if you went in the past month, it’s encouraging to see that everything on that side of Baldy road looking untouched by the fire and air is pretty clear!

    Yea this helps out so much, I’m a beginner so I don’t know what I’m doing just yet but I love my hiking, streams, waterfalls and the pools but like you I want to film everything hahahaha, thank you so much. Where did you go for the best deals??

      Hi, thanks for watching 🙌 we use two different cameras, an IPhone 14 and an Insta 360 camera. The 360 has a disappearing self stick. Great technology !

  • @markflores7306
    @markflores7306 20 дней назад

    What kind of a camera and pole are you using to film??

    • @hikebytes
      @hikebytes  20 дней назад +1

      Two types, iPhone 14 and an Insta 360. Editing in the app for the 360 allows you to chose the format and framing in the whole clip, since it films in 360 degrees you have a huge canvass to adjust the field of view, it’s awesome technology. 🤩🙌

      Hello again and thank you for the info, but also is your insta 360 able to go in water, like in the water pools???

    • @hikebytes
      @hikebytes  20 дней назад +1

      Yes I 🙌 yet for underwater footage like snorkeling 🤿 I recommend the water case to remove stitching you will run into. I used the water case in our video called “snorkeling Crescent Bay” the camera is fully waterproof for pools and rivers, yet for long clips like underwater shots use the water case. Hope that helps

      We also filmed the video “above and below Laguna Beach sea level” with the camera and a water case. If you look at both of those videos, you’ll see how clear and clean the filming is, It has features to bring back the color you lose by being under water, it’s called aqua vision, that’s in the editing software.
