Just happened upon this video and was honestly blown away by how moving and soulful of a cinematic masterpiece this video truly was. The soundtrack, the shots, the audio production - it all combines seamlessly in a way that makes the viewer feel completely immersed, like they're right there on the trail with you. My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of spending a week hiking throughout Ordesa and the neighboring valleys this past summer and this video brought all those wonderful memories flooding back - I was sat here in my living room smiling like a blissful idiot anytime I recognized a spot I'd been - so thank you for bringing me back to such happy times. This video was a joy to watch.
Bravo 👌

Dear Harmen, I have seen your two videos, this one of Ordesa and also the one of the Picos de Europa, and I feel the need to thank you for creating these two masterpieces. I think you have a great cinematographic technique and full of sensitivity and good taste. I also love the mountains and make shorter trips to Pyrenees, from Zaragoza, focusing mainly on the Tena Valley and shooting lots of pictures. And it is a delight to see the love and care with which you have filmed all these scenarios. I can imagine the amount of work and effort you have put in. Thank you very much, really. And congratulations again for the incredible result. I will follow your adventures from now on. Greetings from Spain!
Hola Cristóbal! Muchas graciaspor tu comentario. And now back to English, otherwise I it takes forever to answer everyone here. (; More videos to come for sure. Thanks again!
Wonderful! Being a 'local', I know and have hiked all the places you show. I have fond memories of Ordesa and the amazing Faja de las Flores... I am full of admiration for your ability to shoot such beautiful - peaceful and poetic - images on your own. To put it short, that was perfect. The only aspect that wasn't was the weather. You were not very lucky, last Summer was dreadful. But that was beyond your command, unfortunately.
@@HarmenHoek Yes, indeed, great trip! As a local, I would just want to add that there were a few steps where I would recommend a little bit more precaution (the chimneys of the North Face of Monte Perdido can have bad steps, maybe better to rappel them with a 40 m rope and a helmet! and crampons on the glacier section!) I don't want to sound bothering, I am glad you enjoyed (it's more of a recommendation for future interested people in the route). Cheers!

Your work is just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! I started out watching Kraig Adams hiking solo videos, but man, I have to admit that you have surpassed him on so many levels! The hiking, the routes, the shooting, the droning, the editing...EVERYTHING! The level of WOW-ness is just out of this world! Congrats and cant wait to see your next masterpiece!
Much appreciated! I love adding a cinematic touch to the video and plan on taking it a next level on my next trip (in 2 weeks). Thanks for the comment!
The most beautiful video I've seen so far. I'm from the Basque Country and I spend my time in the Pyrénées and I've loved every bit of your video. The shots are amazing. The music is beautiful and moving. You're very talented. Great job! Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful journey. Made me cry.
The sunset and sunrise are breathtaking and awe inspiring you have a unique talent for photography. Very few vlogers have this unique perspective to use light and shadows to paint a wide panoramic picture.
Better you can not capture the mood for me personally on such a beautiful hike in a film. The choice of music is terrific for me. Wow, this film makes me want to go hiking. A masterpiece.😇
Beautiful work of art! I especially appreciate the time lapses which tell a story, take up battery and memory card. Thank you for filming the bad weather challenges also. Very complete story of your journey. Photography is excellent. The landscape is magical. The talus looked challenging. Well done.

Precioso metraje, gracias
I was blown away with this video. Thank you for uploading. I don't even hike, but I feel it's my destiny to do this also. Truly at one with nature. I'm watching it again for the second time now.. still amazed :)
There are no unnecessary conversations in all your videos, there is no effort to reveal a feature of you, you just leave us alone with magnificent views. I relax while watching videos. The selected music is magnificent. Most importantly, the videos you took during this solo walk are of very high quality. There are no frames in motion. It is really difficult and laborious to put the camera at a point, go for meters, turn around and get the camera again and do it over and over. I heartily congratulate you....
Astonishing quality film - the camera work, editing, subtly understated soundtrack and of course, the breath-taking locations are all superb. The fact that you achieved all of the above single handed, not to mention hiking all that challenging terrain is truly impressive. Thank you Harmen, can't wait to discover more of your films.
I thank you for gracing us with such art, Harmen. This particular video inspired me to embark on an almost similar route solo this July. I followed your route for the first 3.5 days but instead of crossing back into Spain at Col du Mulets I carried on to Refuge Wallon, passing an amazing lake on the way where people were swimming and fishing. The following day (day 5) I crossed into Spain at Port du Marcadau, joining the GR11 and followed it down to Baños de Panticosa where I chilled for a couple hours before heading up to Lac de Brazato to spend the night. Day 6 saw me follow the route to Refuge Bujaruelo where I chilled with fellow hikers before finding a more secluded spot to set up camp. The final day was the not so exciting journey back to Torla which you avoided. My camera skills aren’t a touch on yours but at least I can rewatch this video time and time again to remind myself of the scenery we’ve both been so lucky to experience. Thanks again! Nathan

Ive started watching RUclips videos in 2012 as a little 13 old gamer and now as a 22 year old passionate nature lover I have to say this is one of the most inspiring and beautiful videos I've ever seen. The shots, edits and background music create an ambient that's breathtaking and almost make me feel like im experiencing this hike myself. Thanks for that.

The quality of your videos is great, some real top end work here... Amazing. As an avid french hiker, I cannot help but recommend some of my favorite areas to you. I've explored all of the Alps, not on long hikes, but I can tell you that you would be a happy man in place like the Queyras mountains (no glaciers, but truly unspoiled by ski resorts), my favorite area. It just feels genuine and charming. Nearby are also two of the most beautiful corners of the Alps : the Vallée de la Clarée, North of Briançon, with amazing alpine lakes and a stunning larch forest that turns completely orange in October, and the Ecrins National Park, a much bigger area with the most beautiful glaciers in the french alps, and in my opinion the most stunning display of alpine flowers in July. Some areas are more popular, like around La Grave or La Chappelle en Valgaudemar, but if you want a place forgotten by time, start at Le Desert en Valjouffrey and you'll be amazed.
This is some true quality advice. Thanks! I was just recently scrolling the European terrain maps looking for new places to hike in the Alps. I've written down all the options. Thanks a lot

Ouhaaa, quel trip !

Beautifully made film. That sound of thunder when you're up high is so scary. I had to sprint off a mountain in the Sierra de Guara when the same happened to me.
Thanks you for sharing my own land in such a beautiful way. However, swimming on the ibones is not allowed and you should not have done it. The ibones are protected by law spaces.

5:15 is one of the most satisfying things I've ever seen. Cool effect on ice. Great, great video! Spain is such an underrated gem. I hope to trek these spots one day. Thanks!
Couldn't agree more, Spain is beautiful! Thanks a lot!
Spain is underrated ? By who ?
@@siriosstar4789 for the mountain trips in Europe, the most common destination is the Alps.
It's a bigger mointain chain that goes across 4-5 countries.
Sadly the pyrennees dont get the view and publicity they deserve
Another cinematic masterpiece, what a great trek.
Much appreciated! It was a great trek indeed.
Beautiful video, as always. The silence combined with the masterful camera shots is golden. Thank you so much for sharing your journey.
Another absolutely stunning video! Gorgeous scenery, and amazing footage.
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you for that amazing journey! I appreciate the time and effort you put into filming...all the extra gear you carried.
My pleasure!
This is BEAUTIFUL Harmen!
*MasyaAllah.. a very beautiful view, a peaceful and comfortable place.. I just found your video, and I am very amazed by the beauty of the scenery and nature there.. I feel like coming there and seeing it directly..
but that's a long way off, and thanks for sharing that great view. Warm greetings from Indonesia* 🇮🇩
What a beautiful vidéo.
We can really feel the ambiane of the Pyrenees.
Congratulations 👏👏
Pyrénées ❤❤
Thanks a lot 😊
I have never seen such a beautiful place and hiking video
Thank you!
It's the craziest video I've ever seen about Pyrenees, it's simply a masterpiece. But also, it shows perfectly the entire beauty of these mountains.
Congratulations my friend!!!
Wow, thank you!
Thanks for pointing it out.
This is simply awesome as usual 🙌🏼
Your solo travel films are turning into my Friday night plan lately 😄 Congrats!
PS: you inspired my last RUclips video!! (And I mention you in there of course :))
All the best dude!
Awesome! Watched your video. Great job and beautiful area for hiking!
@@HarmenHoekthanks! 🙏🏼 Let me know if you come around and we may go hiking together 😉
Ouhaaa, quel trip !
Beautifully done. The Sound of Silence up in the Pyrenees.
Thanks!
Bedankt!
Maybe people follow you because you don't speak in your videos and leave room for nature. I salute you ❤❤❤❤Free Palestine
Why do you have to bring it into everything
Enhorabuena, simplemente ESPECTACULAR!!!
Thank you for pointing that out, I'll consider it next time.
@@HarmenHoek don't worry man you have my permission to do so, don't listen to this assholes, if they think like that they are not mountain people like us, I wonder if they even are from here being this bossy lol
I am absolutely speechless.. Well done.
Another great trip with you, Harmen, thank you! I love the chill music you play because it matches the vibe of nature, so calm and peaceful. You are so brave to get into those cold lakes! It's all so beautiful :))
Great vid of a place I have long wanted to visit and backpack. Thank you so much for not bombarding me with commentary, and just showing us the story.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Just stunning. I wasn't expecting full blown nature asmr but i was fully immersed in the trip
Every single shot is a perfection of composition, natural beauty and inspiration, waou! No superficial sounds, no extravagant color grading, just the raw beauty of our world. Thank you so much for this breathtaking and relaxing half hour, all the best to you ✨✨
Beautifully made film. That sound of thunder when you're up high is so scary. I had to sprint off a mountain in the Sierra de Guara when the same happened to me.
Very beautiful. Nice that he took time to appreciate the views. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
thank you for making and sharing this video. i can easily imagine being my self in those beautiful mountains.
i absolutely agree with you
The night scene with the stars was beautiful.
This is just so incredible. So peaceful. And what an accomplishment.
Wow. I just came across your movie. It blows my mind how stunning, professionally and adventures this is. Much respect 🙏
It's absolutely amazing. This feeled like something honest and beautiful. It's inspiring and... just thank you
Thank you!
Thank you for pointing that out. I will consider it next time.
Thanks you for sharing my own land in such a beautiful way. However, swimming on the ibones is not allowed and you should not have done it. The ibones are protected by law spaces.
Shut up
The perfect way to get us through the beauty of the Pyrenees. Congratulations on this amazing movie !
The Pyrenees are wild and magnificent ! I hope to get there one day !!!
Very beautiful scenery and very well put together! Entire vide is a pure enjoyment!
i absolutely agree 👍
@@familywithmelody And it's so relaxing and meditating to get lost in such a video. I like both perspectives, being inside the video as well as in front of it 😉.
Great Video, you made it worst for us: we miss the Pyrénées even more now: we are usually going there once or twice a year but with these crazy times we had to cancel the last few trips! Thank you for this beautiful video: As Mikel said, no stupid bla bla, great soft background music and awesome images. All we need to hike again "on screen" until we can go there again very very soon I hope!!
Mijn genoegen!
Stunning and beautiful with only the sounds of the natural world incl cowbells and shoe sounds on rock. Thank you so much.
Thank you!
And yes, I love that sound of shoes on rock too (:
Outstanding video! this is incredibly underrated for how well made it is.
Photography is excellent. The landscape is magical. Well done.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks (:
Ordesa y Monte Perdido is one of my favourite places on Earth. Great video!
Thanks! That place is truly beautiful!
Thank you so much for your videos! I have been many times to Ordesa and you capture the essence of it! Masterpiece.
That moment at 24min00 make my day !!! Congrats mate
Haha, one of those rare sweat hand moments for me tbh
You were so close to my home town! This video is a reminder for me not to take these beautiful land and mountains and scenery for granted! Thanks for this amazing video, I love the way you film everything, i like that you focus your videos on the scenery and not on yourself talking in front of the camera like many of the travelling videos. I hope you enjoyed hiking in the Pyrenees and ill definitely be checking your channel to see more of this!
Beautiful, just beautiful.
1 word: breathtaking!
Amazing!
Jaa, mooi man. Dankjewel hoor.
Wow, wat een prachtige beelden!
We realise how insignificant we are in the grand scale of things yet the perspective of humans never ceases to amaze.
Couldn't agree more!
Nice hike and fil, love it! The only thing that it is sad is that you are alone. Hope in the future you have some company. Have fun! and thanks for the views
This really makes me realise how much more I need to explore the area I live in 😂 so many beautiful locations I haven’t seen yet. Stunning video ❤
A silent symphonie of beauty ... you master the drone captures like a modern Michelangelo ... love all your uploads and will watch them again and again
Bro your channel is so underrated . Your videos are amazing ❤️
I appreciate that!
I've been to Ordesa two times, two years in a row. Hiking through the valley, going to Monte Perdido's top and then walking down to La Brecha de Rolando and then down the valley again. This video brings back so many memories. Beautiful video. Love from Madrid
GREAT camera work, thank you, Harmen!
Thank you kindly!
Great video!! I visited Ordesa from my home in east Coast US a decade or so ago. I started at Torla and hiked east On the GR10 most of the way to the coast. You showed one of my campsites in this video!! Awesome, awesome memories. Thanks for posting this!!
Pleasure to see my mountains again! Looking forward more of your hikes thank you!
More to come! Thanks
Totally agree
Ahh les Pyrenees! Incredible on everything
