just watched this video in 2024, still just as enjoyable and informative. Well done my friend and thank you!
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it! I should do an update. I’ve done so many hikes since I posted this, but they’re all still good!
Beauty captured ☑ and yes, thanks for the hard work in putting it together. Planning a trip of hiking in the area so much appreciated!
You’re so welcome!! LA is the best hiking city. So many different landscapes and features. Enjoy!
Very very helpful video. Thanks so much
quick hikes:
Arroyo Burro Trail in Santa Barbara (ocean views)
Nojoqui Falls Park near Solvang, Ca (small water fall)
Thank you so much for the tips! I’ll out these on my list!
Great video my man. I was born and grew up here in Los Angeles. These spots are mandatory if you love to hike. 😊🤙
Thank you so much! I’m glad my video passes the “native Angelino” test 😃
Nice vid Peter! Love Los Leones
Thank you!! And thanks for your help filming :)
This is an incredibly helpful video for anyone wishing to visit LA!
Thank you! Now get your butt here lol
It’s very helpful. My husband and I have been to each trail every weekend that you introduced. Thanks!
That’s so awesome!! Thank you so much letting me know. I’m glad you’re enjoying them! 😃

How cool! Yes there are so many more beautiful hikes in LA and Southern California!
Great video. Another place to visit is O'Melveny Park in Granada Hills (San Fernando Valley). 672 acres and miles of hiking trails.
Thanks for the tip - I’ve never been there, but I’m looking at photos now. Looks cool!
Another few to consider:
- Wildwood Canyon (Burbank)
- Tongeva Peak at Brand park (Glendale)
Those look really nice! I recently hiked Echo Mountain and Strawberry peak. Probably should've included one of those two!
Definitely have to do those ocean view hikes 😍
Oh yea! Nothing like looking into the endless Pacific Ocean! All that blue does something amazing for the soul :)
thanks peter! great video
Do you have a favorite forest near los angeles? (perhaps for shaded trail running / feeling immersed in nature)
Very helpful
Thank you!! I hope you can enjoy some of these 😃
Amazing
Thank you!!! 😃
can anyone tell time of year thats best to avoid the hot hot heat and for good deals on accommodation etc when visiting California
It’s hotter in the summer so you might prefer spring, fall, and winter.
I don't think Crystal Cove is LA (ik you said Newport just didnt know why it was in the video) but i love all the spots!
You are right about that! Well thank you so much! 😃
