Great video 😊 I'm hoping to get to 500
Je hebt zo een mooi aquarium rek. Waar gekocht? You have such a beautiful aquarium stand. Where did you buy it?
Really enjoy your channel. I especially love that you give 2-3 week update on the tanks in the same video. That takes a lot of discipline and planning and its not unnoticed. Keep it up!
Man thank you for that diy co2 tip.
Getting into co2 is expensive and this is a great way to get into it without breaking the bank.
i watch every video that you do, idk what it is but this one takes the cake. i love nano tanks and that fern combo'd with the dragon stone layout just screams experience. sand was a super nice touch as well. abosolutely loved the end look of the tank, even without the full plant grow-in.
Thanks so much :)
Looking very cool, I love the redesign.
I'd love a video where you explain how to maintain these mini filter less aqauriums
Same here!
Love this build! 🙌
Quality as always!
"Super simple" but fantastic stuff! Most appreciated. So good to learn and watch.
love your little tank looks so good
mooi, and so simple. I love the dragon stone.
It looks wonderful!
The videos are great and very informative, starting my planted tank journey and it has helped a lot!
your works are always my inspiration and I hope I can learn more from you
New design looks good MJ. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for sharing.
Allways loving your content!!😮
I just got the UNS 20C, perfect timing of this video! You do awesome work!
Thank you so much for the link to the light stand! I have the exact same light (I believe I bought it on your recommendation), but it's been sitting unused in the box for the last year. The rimless tank I tried it on when I first got the light cracked, so I've been leery of trying it on any other tanks. I just ordered the stand through your link! Thank you so much.
Awesome mini desk aquarium 👍🏻
never seen an Asparagus fern being used in an aquatic setup, probably you are the first one to try it, and it inspires me to do that as well!
That turned out sweet! I love the asparagus fern, I think I will see if I can order one from somewhere.
Just found this channel since I’m starting to aquascape and man your awesome
Wow didn’t expect the co2 tutorial now I gotta try it!
Really nice little tank 👊🏻
I love it ❤🦐
Great setup and editing. Hope it performs as well as the older version
Nice little nano tank 🙂
Looks great!! Those small tanks are so tough! My last one turned into a green blob too.
I know the feeling! Usually Moss overload!
Very nice MJ…
I always wanted to use Ammannia pedicillata golden in my tank, hard to find it.. hope it grows well for you. Maybe removing the Co2 would help by stabilizing the Co2 demand and the plant would adapt. I love the build and hope this video gets more views than the earlier one 😊
this is the prettiest tank you have set up so far imho
nice video
Those red root floaters were just living their best life in the old tank build with 0 maintenance hahah
Ziet er goed uit Mark Jan!!
Hopelijk doet dit aquarium het wel goed aan de inrichting kan het niet liggen!!
Hopelijk zie ik je weer op vivarium een hele fijne dag!!
Groetjes Stefan
Question what diet should I have my ember tetra to be bright red and healthy?
Beautiful aquascape. Curious what power you keep the Chihiros c2 at and if you know the par for that light?
Nice how you make the Co2 machine ❤
I love this Channel. May I ask any of you Guys if you know any attraktive CO2 Diffusor (like the one in the Video) for a low Pressure CO2 Reaktor (Using Ziss Co2 Reaktor). Thanks in advance!
Turned out very beautiful ! Sand over aquasoil....I wonder how that will be for doing maintenance?
Just in time for me to rescape my tiny desktop cube!! Thanks for sharing!
Curious about your water change schedule. Or do you just do too ups on that no filter setup?
I do a 50% water change once a week :)
I really like the look of this! Is it at all possible to have fish in there instead of shrimp? Like a few Neons or maybe Guppies?
thanks for the video, I havnt sucess with the asparagus fern in my tank after a week it starts to turn yellow and die
Hey MJ, could you link where you bought your aquarium tools, can’t seem to find tweezers as fine as yours, thanks 😁
Looking at getting this setup as I am looking for something small and simple. Does the light have to be on all the time? I assume not but am not very knowledgeable with this stuff. Also where would I get some small shrimp like that they complement the tank so well
Hey mark, i've some questions, do u ever tried akadama soil? It can lower your ph level. I think it will good for content. Coz i just have seen one video about it in aquascape used .
I'm brand new and about to start my aquascaping journey. Looking at starting with something like this but I was wondering do I need to consider water temperature as well for the plants and livestock? I notice you havn't mentioned this in the video or items used? Thanks, A
I’d like to know this too if anyone has an answer
Hi, awesome mini tank! I was wondering if you have to feed the shrimp or if they just eat the algae? and if so, how much and how often? Thanks a lot for your videos!
I'm actually surprised by how little algae this tank gets, so I am feeding the shrimp a tiny amount of food every few days
Обожнюю цей канал) і тут в кадр попадає "Сода харчова") приємна відсилка на Україну)
beautiful 😍😍 I wish you explained what did you use to remove water from small tanks. because regular mechanical pump siphons don't work well in small tanks. it's easy to fill water in small tanks but I find removing water from them difficult. do you use a water pump and attach silicon tubes it? or just a simple siphon pump?
Use tubing and start siphon with mouth lol and then drain to bucket using gravity
Love the setup! Would you recommend something like this for someone's first aquascape?
For a first aquascape I would go for something a little bit bigger. With a 30cm cube for example you can also add some fish
Thanks for the recommendation! I wouldn't mind having a shrimp only tank but having fish would definitely be a plus.
very nice, great job
Does anyone have an idea how to keep a tank like this one cool during a hot summer? I sometimes have temperatures around 30°C/86°F for a few days in my apartment which just can't be good I believe...
Can you tell us what went wrong in the previous tank so we know what not to do? Thanks!
That day that I met you at the Riftwachter I started my new nano cube with aqua soil. But I do still have issues with algae in some places. And also wondered if I should use liquid fertilizer. Any tips?
Nah don't use any fertilizer until the algae is gone.
Go for liquid Co2
Are you doing water changes or are you topping off…and how often?
I’m moving to the Netherlands for college in a few months and I’m looking for ways to maybe keep a small and relatively cheap desktop aquarium, any tips? Do you think I’d be able to leave it at a fish tank store when I’m gone on vacation? Thanks!
Yeah try something like this, and I don't know how long your vacations will be, but this can easily go without maintenance for a few weeks. I don't think fish stores will want to take it....
is this setup good for shrimp ?
Hi
Hi MJ! mind if I know if the DIY CO2 should be kept open even when the lights are turned off?
You can run CO2 24/7 but just make sure you don’t add too much
Also keep the water surface clean (by using kitchen paper towel for exampel) which serves for better gas exchange.
I wish I could get some red root floaters like that, Ive got two pots for far and my snails have eaten them all 🤣😭😭
Snails don't eat healthy plants there purely detravors meaning they only eat dead, decaying natural matter and algae alage is about the only live plant they'll eat
hello man, just want to say, please add Indonesian translation, thank you!
Done! :)
How often do you change the water and how much water do you change? No water movement seems like this could start to smell. Have any of that?
I change 50% once a week! Also no smell :)
Nice, always wanted a simple setup like this
Can anyone tell me if he did add a filter to this what the pros and cons would be? Thank you
Idk but if you have a filter the shrimp can get stuck or sucked up

@@marionvanroon5302 zit erbij!
It's fun to see Ukrainian baking soda in Netherlands.
bro, my shrimp always jump out of water with this small tank. and suddenly, my tank is empty. i tried it many times, but shrimp always jump out. any tips?
bad water with ammonia or nitrite is the most common reason for shrimp jumping
I have found another reason for shrimps to jump out. If the filter return splashes too much shrimp think (I quess) it's raining and time to search for a different habitat.
Yeah sounds like a water quality issue
@@MJAquascapingthank you sir. i will try to rework on my water
How to maintain oxygen level while we are injecting CO2 to the aquarium....?
A lot of plants will help
first!
This'll rile up the PETA activists even with just shrimp in.
Nothing wrong with caring about animals, bro

A man is no-one
FYI that was 4 rocks lol
😁😁
Nog steeds geen reef tank update
Nog even geduld sorry 😁
Gast, praat iets langzamer😮
Why is “no Filter” so popular 🤷
People like simplicity I guess :)
...and you actually dont need a filter with a lot of plants😉
how is this self cleaning?? I never understood that, is it because of the shrimp, or the plants?
I’m pretty sure the answer is no… but I have a dilemma. I have 9 bajillion guppies and have been frantically separating everyone to different ponds and tanks to stop the baby production 😩
I have a five gallon portrait with four males who are brothers from my first batch of babies, they all grew up together in this tank and moved the girls to the pond outside and the rest of the males to a 20 gallon tank. Well one of them is a complete psycho, I’ve moved him and changed tank mates twice because he is a huge bully. My issue is I’m running out of ideas and options. I can’t keep buying tanks and don’t want to use the other five gallon I have for just him. Would it be “ok” to have him in a three gallon nano by himself? He’s relatively small. Maybe an inch long, four months old. He’s very beautiful and I’d like to keep him and possibly breed him, since this seems to be my life now. 🫠 so questions are is 3 gallon too small even if he’s small and solo and also, would his aggression pass on to his young? Any advice is welcomed. I’m new to this… but been guzzling info since November, when I decided I wanted a water feature for my garden 🙄 got some fish and whoops!!!
On another note, anyone know how to sell guppies? Lol
Very nice👍 For small tanks is this probably a good solution for co2 distribution. de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paffrathsche_Rinne
