I hope you’ll keep this tank running and do update videos on how it evolves. Set up videos are nice, but it’s much more interesting to see if some challenges appear later, and how you’ll deal with them :)
I love the simplicity of your design. It will be a great home for the guppies. And, what a lovely thing to do by gifting the older tank. Your family member will look at it with a smile every time. A gift from the heart for sure.
The wood looks really good paired with the rocks! That is one strong hardscape even though you used only a few pieces! It looks like a mother holding a baby in her arms which is perfect for the baby guppies!
Yes please do more low tech! I've been struggling to get my CO2 saturation up in my 17 gallons, I think it's because i'm using HOB filter and the surface agitation is just gassing off. Prefer not to buy canister due to risk of leaking/flooding. Do you think it's possible to do high tech tank with HOB?
I love your videos so much! I have many questions as well.. one of them being, where do you get your plastic tray that you use to hold the prepared plants? I've been using Tupper ware and it's very inconvenient. Thank you for making great content that's accessible and educational!
Hope this beautiful aquascape remains amonia free. It looks amazing. I've always been afraid to try a no filter setup so am keen to follow the progress on this one 🙂
I’m really loving that wood and stone in there Mark! 😍 I’m just like you filling my tanks with all types of plants hahaha it makes for a nice mix of texture and color! Great job as always 👌🏻
Nice video as always. Low tech is cool too. It will be nice to follow this tank. Are you going to fertilize the tank with liquid fertilizers or just capsules and tap water?
Looks great mate. I’d say try adding some more plants for the no filter tank is real beneficial tactic 🤓👌🏼(or fast growing plants which can be kept in or removed at a later date)
Love your channel! Always inspirational … I recently started an aquarium using the dark start method you described in one of your videos and it is going really well … no algae at this stage. I am really amazed and very grateful for your original video about this method. 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼
Hi Mark, great scape as usual ;) Funny that you like the strideways tanks, since the company is based in my country, which is Portugal :) I have the Sado 36p kit (tank and light) from them as well and the tanks are great quality and affordable for sure! Glad you like it :)
@@MJAquascaping Yes, you should! There is also terrific work by Amano in Oceanário de Lisboa that I'm sure you'd appreciate visiting :) It's an amazing 40 meters planted aquarium, breathtaking for sure!

Co2 I understand but I don't know about the filter. Is it to naturally keep more co2 in the water for the plants? And the plants and substrate function as filter? I'm just guessing here haha.
Great video, do you expect the red plants to stay red without Co2? And how much does a multi colour LED help, min only has white and blue and wonder if more red + green would help.

First of all congratulations on the videos, very well explanatory and interesting, always learning a lot from the contents. I would like to know which brand of these lamps, and the lamp for how many liters of water, thank you!

could you recommend some carpet plants for my first filterless tank...it's fairly small but it's only for a couple of shrimp...I'm looking for a "grassy" look but I'm not sure if hairgrass is good for a filterless setup. I really enjoy your videos :)
Just a question, in your round thank where you have baby's, the red plant coming out is red floaters? What a amazing red colour. Thank you for your videos 😊
Hey Mark, I have a question: I have a 70L Dennerle scapers and currently set it close to the floor on a steel shelf with solid wood. Would there be a problem if the front of the tank is poking about 3-4 mm off the shelf in front? I cannot push it further back because of the Seachem Tidal I use and as it is, it's sitting flush against the wall. I hope it won't pose any structural issues. Highly doubt, but I just wanted to confirm. Thank you!

How safe is using artificial rock (made of concrete) for aquarium? . I read that cement releases calcium and other carbonates which raise ph of water and is harmful for fish. I saw a video in which they treat the cement to be fish safe by keeping it soaked with banana trunk. . Is there any other way of doing this?

super gaaf dit!! ff vraagje, heb je het mos en de bonsai anubia gewoon los op het hout gelegd ?? en hoe lang gaat de bodem mee sinds het een voedingsbodem is moet je deze ooit vervangen??
