weird anecdote i got reminded of that nobody would care about. I once went out to try the newly released xm5 because i needed a noise cancelling headphone due to some circumstances. There are so many good reviews about it's "sound quality" everywhere online, but trying it for the first time it made me question my hearing ability because it sounded like it was underwater. Ended up getting the bose qc 700 instead.
This is so true tho. I have used my XM3 for about 4 years now, and yea it sounds shit out of the box. It sounds beautiful with parametric EQ on it tho IMO. I'm glad i use Android, so i can use a system wide DSP with parametric EQ. I would not have enjoyed these headphones otherwise.

@@Daniel-dj7fhbecause there's no easy way to tune headphones, it's a tedious process that requires prototyping again and again and devices that can measure frequency. Hey crin, regarding the IEM ranking, there are no indicator/filter for True Wireless Buds. Hope you add a filter or update the standalone TWS rank list.
filtering by wired/wireless does seem like a useful feature. Same with over-ear headphones. Currently having trouble picking some due to all the hype reviews or unqualified reviewers...
I had the chance to try the DZ for a few days and honestly I kinda liked it. Call quality was pretty good, ANC was good as was transparency, it was a little heavy compared to even the Airpods Max but it was still comfortable, and the sound quality was good. I tried the air filter in a few different locations and while it does seem a little gimmicky, I can also see the advantage in some cases, one case being cleaning my apartment where it did a really good job lessening any chemical smell. The only problem with these headphones is really just the price. If they were priced in the $450-$500 range like the Airpods Max or at the most (and that's pushing it) $550-$600 range like the M&D MW75 it would make way more sense but $1000 is just ridiculous
Actually Dyson has their "hand dryers" in the public toilets / department stores' toilet. That's the main presentation to the public, at least in the UK. They were also thinking of the "car market" and abandoned the idea few years ago.
If the filter is small enough to filter the substance the positive air pressure is actually the best way to keep stuff out. Unless the filter itself literally doesn’t work I fail to see how it’s “unsafe”
unsafe as in the consumer could falsely think that it is safe for use as a replacement for normal mask, but the dyson visor doesn't even cover your face properly like a mask would - so pollution and germs can still get in through the seems.
Crazy idea : made a new child company called Dyson Audio and then release the zone without the visor + air purifier for 1/4 of the price. Dyson, hire me fr fr 🙏🙏
I actually like how these headphones look besides the filter i like the colours and the shine of the metal though it looks like it would pick up a lot of finger prints
