Of course I would much rather I'd see Goku go to universe 6, but hay... it could be cool to seeing Goku hanging out with Bardock, Gine and Raditz.
Itd actually be kinda cool if theyve just cryogenically froze his body, and they harvested his s cells to build gamma 1 and 2. Ssj knowledge could be used to imbue the gammas with unlocked cells, making them far stronger than the old androids. I think itd be tasteful if we just see his body, and not alive. Maybe goku gets a chance to recover his brothers body and give him a proper burial. Short and sweet, good closure.
Itd also show gokus growth after knowing vegeta, and understanding the pain and hurt the saiyans faced. Obviously itd have to be subtle, but it'd be nice to see a moment like when goku buried vegeta on namek. Something where goku gets to forgive his brother and pay his respects.
@@valentds no, Toriyama said in an interview one time that Trunks and Goten turned Super Sayian so easily because they had high S-cell levels inherited from their fathers and the relative peacefulness of earth. (S-cells being something only sayians have and once enough accumulate through training and a sudden burst of rage that’s how they become super sayian) there are contradictions in this though haha stating a rage boost is needed but Trunks and Goten achieved it because of the easy peaceful life they lived.
I'd say that Raditz's possible reveal will be a post-credit scene. Possibly giving a reason as to how he will be able to keep up with the cast of super or how they came about them.
Honestly Gero bringing back Raditz in the Android saga would've been really cool, could've been a great way to explain his massive power boost and he could've even turned good towards the end, or sacrifice himself to save Goku or Gohan.
I want Raditz to come back some how. I have always liked Raditz and it has always pissed me off with how quickly he was discarded and never mentioned again. even long before Masako did the what if Raditz turned good I always liked Raditz. would it be easy to botch it? Yes. But by Kami I want to see Raditz come back one way or another.
Raditz had the lowest power level that pushed the whole Z-Fighters to train. I would like to see Raditz come back some way and see how powerful Goku has become.
And pan seems to be kidnapped. Seeing as that’s the first traumatic moment he ever experienced (being kidnapped himself). It’ll probably set him off giving us our good ol’fasion rage gohan.

People think Raditz wouldn't have any character development but when you think about it, Vegeta really did want to take down Frieza and Raditz with Nappa were in on it as they knew it was Frieza who destroyed their planet but they kept going with the meteor story to not arouse Frieza's suspicion back then that Vegeta was plotting to avenge his homeworld of planet Vegeta. Raditz I'm sure in his years in hell would have wanted to know what his brother like and disliked as well as get to know his nephew whom he didn't want to hurt at first.
I don't know if it was just me, but as soon as it was revealed we'd be seeing Goten & Trunks AGED UP in this movie: it took the focus away from Gohan in my eyes. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Gohan is gonna do well in the film. Honestly, I thought he had a good look in the manga where he and Piccolo fought 7-3 in the Moro Arc. I know we're supposed to get Fat Teen Gotenks, but if we got a proper fusion between the two then shoot that's all everyone will talk about since we've wanted it for SO LONG!
I think Raditz should not be in this movie because it would take away the spotlight from Gohan. I still would like to see Raditz return somehow in the future to get closure with Goku.
You know, everybody's entitled to their opinion, but the people on social media who actually rant that you had a negative impact on the fandom just becaue you made a what if series that people liked, that just seems like tryharding. Especially when they say Raditz took Vegeta's arc, which makes me think they either didn't watch the series or don't know Vegeta. Raditz in your Turned Good story, was never so prideful to the point of being illogical like Vegeta. Vegeta takes years to turn actually good and Raditz didn't need one of his children to get a hole through the chest or finally beat Kakarot to do it. It's not like Raditz marries Bulma or stops Vegeta from doing what he does in the original more or less. Meanwhile Vegeta forges his own path, and maybe he's more of a jerk, but come on. A slight breeze could change the man's arc. And ultimately he does mellow out. It feels like people are just mad the What-If series they didn't watch didn't have Vegeta as the main focal point. As if Super didn't do that enough.
I mean reason why people dislike that what if because Vegeta got shafted in that What if. What's the point of him getting SSJ4 in super? Why would he use a blutz wave over a rival? Vegeta will always train to get forms.
Shafted? Well maybe, but at that point of the what-if Vegeta wantes to take his own path via SSJ4. As far as I'm concerned, Vegeta had no problem with Bulma using the Blutz Wave generator (in GT), the gravity room or the RoSaT to get strong easily, so why should we complain that he uses technology to his advantage in a what-if?

If Raditz was in this movies, there are only 2 options. 1. Raditz D.N.A. was collected and he was cloned 2. Raditz's body was collected, and put on ice so he could be revived later
I think I like the idea that after the final battle they find a cryogenicly preserved raditz that had been revived and kept there a teaser to him being released and join them
It would be impossible for an ACTUAL return from him. The Raditz who he was would not be the Raditz who he "would be" if he came back. I don't see a return to be honest. Great video and discussion.
I say if there ever was a time and a place for Raditz returning in some form of another it would be because of Goku learning more about his Saiyan heritage with the Granola Arc thanks to Namakian saving Bardock's scouter. Remember those scouters record conversations especially the part where Bardock say he wants his son's to "Thrive"
Agreed on that and also Goku should *NOT* remember Bardock and Gene. They seriously don't matter to the story or to Goku himself since he already has a family that being Grandpa Gohan, his wife Chichi, their two son's Gohan and Goten, his father-in-law's Ox and Hercule, his daughter-in-law Videl, and granddaughter Pan.
it is important for Goku. Learning about his saiyan side would only expand his character. Up until now he thought that saiyans are barbarians and him being an "earthling" feels like he is the opposite. But now he understands that he was wrong. His father fought a powerful enemy to protect someone, which shouldn't be impossible. And if he manages to remember more about his parents, it will fully change his perspective. Why is his father protecting someone ? Why is his mother so much different then all the other saiyans and pure of heart ? All this could make for a great development
@@razien9941 The Saiyans were still violent barbarians regardless of a few outliers. They committed so much genocide and destruction so his initial perception was justified and still is. Plus, Goku already accepts his Saiyan heritage and honestly doesn't care about Bardock, Gine, and Raditz. He's still an 'Earthling' but with Saiyan.

Goku still loathes the Saiyan race entirely just now he accepts that he is indeed a Saiyan and likes all the advantages it gives him, but overall doesn't care about his race as a whole. Goku suddenly caring is so out of character/place and comes from fans whining and projecting their desires onto the character.
Honestly, the best time to bring him back would have been long before Super begins, in the early Android saga. Anytime after either has too much time between his death and the current arc or had too much going on for him to be very helpful, not to mention he would need time to develop.
This movie is basically another sequel to the Red Ribbon Army arc, and a sequel to the Cell arc by association. Raditz had nothing to do with the original Red Ribbon Army arc. And the only thing he contributed to the Cell arc was "oh, Gero captured data on his fight with Goku and Piccolo, and used that in his Androids". There is no thematic connection between the arcs Super Hero is cribbing from and Raditz. What would Raditz ADD to anything? Nothing! And in a movie, every scene needs to count for something.
I would actually love to see Raditz come back and to have some redemption for his character. Though I do agree that this wouldn't be the right time to bring him in. I would even be satisfied with it being a post credit scene type idea
IF TRUE, it would be a lot of fan service for some, an Android Saiyan, and likely Raditz going Super Saiyan as well I could see. This could be a move to start to bring back two of the characters done most dirty IMO, Raditz and Nappa. But that's definitely my own wishful thinking. I have always wanted them to come back with redemption arcs.
If you think about it, it would've make so much sense. back then, Gero somehow manage to enchance a normal human into a being stronger than even SSJ. Now that they HAVE a material Far more stronger than a human (Saiyan), imagine how much they could enchance his power and potential!
Listen i LOVE Raditz. Anyone who spends 10 minutes with me will know that. But i don’t think Raditz should come back like some where zombie android. I’d want Raditz to “come back” as himself. I want more flashbacks to the Bardock family and see their relationship. I want more flashbacks of the Saiyan trio back when they were still traveling and working together and seeing how they sorta found-family’ed with eachother. Hell I’ll take more alternate timelines that gives him even just a little more time on Earth with his family. Thats why I love the games and how the games love looking into his character! So I’m happy as long as the games keep using him. But also i DO love the idea of him coming back so we can get more Saiyan history and lore (god knows Vegeta doesn’t talk to anyone about being a Saiyan), more on Goku’s on family, and just to have him back in general! I love the big man! But putting my bias aside he shouldn’t be be brough back like this. As much as i love the idea of an android Raditz and seeing him fight on par with everyone again, it would feel like some fake out, another imposter Raditz like Basaku and Cumber.
I thought that raditz would be the first Android to show up then revealing a bunch of Frankenstein Androids made out of the remains of a load of ex-mukes Nappa, a bunch of Frieza force members, king cold, pui pui, yakon, Spopovich, Yamu and a bunch of galactic patrol prisoners.
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised they're going to be like "we're using Raditz to study saiyan dna up close and personal." Or make a goku brother. Thinking it will have the same potential. Like, a more extensive data collection or a reason why Gero had such extensive information on saiyan biology.
Something that it has been on my mind as of late. Most people still want to believe it's either Cell in the capsule, or a "Gamma 3" or any sort of new villain. But the fact that the marketing insist on promoting Broly, yet it seems like all his scenes are training in another planet (like a reminder that he is a thing) and now the marketing also reminding us the battle with Broly was one Earth... what if the Ultimate Evil in the Capsule is actually Bio-Broly, but for real now? Goku's training with Broly is the set up to remind the audience how strong he is and how his rage burst works, and so, when a mindless, super powered Bio-Broly shows up, we don't need further explanation to understand it. Maybe even tie up Broly's Rage powers with the original times Gohan himself powered up through Rage alone. I mean, back on Z, Broly's original sequel, was Second Coming, with Gohan vs Broly fight... and for bonus points we have Gotens and Trunks around, as well as Satan and 18, the whole cast of the original Bio-Broly, and even the Gammas fill for the Bio-Soldiers.
One thing I will argue against though. If Goku was willing to spare Vegeta, and Gohan was reluctantly made to welcome him as regular company, having an older Gohan try and give a returning Raditz a _chance_ at a second chance is hardly a stretch at this point IF it goes that far and they don't just off him. But, even more poignant, with Piccolo around he probably gets to make a few jabs for being whole instead of holey. BUT, even MORE poignant, we might get Pan getting to know her Grunkle Raditz; And that, more than anything, rustles my Jimmies good.
You do make a good point MasakoX. Bringing Raditz into this new movie after so many years… is not gonna workout so well. As much as I wish that they’ve done more with the guy, this is not the way to go.
I love how people are ALREADY not liking the fact that raditz is in and how it "makes no sense"....even though the movie isn't out....yet... hell he MAY be used as an android by the red ribbon army? Maybe they made a straight up android recreation of raditz to mess woth gokus head somehow? (It makes sense when thinking how the red ribbon army thinks) or something along those lines. If these new androids are to win the hearts and minds of the public and show how evil Saiyans are... you need an evil Saiyan weak enough to not be a threat but strong enough to wreak havoc for the androids to stop with ease.
My guess is they're just using his corpse for research. Easy access to a relatively unlimited source of Saiyan DNA for plot reasons. Cyber Raditz would be cool but yeah I don't see it happening. Would LOVE to be surprised. Assuming this image was real ya know?
@@MasakoX the latest chapter of dragon ball, bardock had wished for his kids to grow up well, "well" could be up for interpretation but generally it means good. As well all know, Raditz really wasn't growing up well, when your "friends" keep telling you you're as strong or weaker than a saibaman than you know you're not really growing up "well". People can make the assumption that that's just how Saiyans grow up, that's what counts as well for Saiyans, but then that wouldn't explain Goku's life. He grew up with a loving grandpa, good friends and rivals, Raditz basically had nothing
I kind of like the idea of "we used this Saiyan creature's DNA to enhance their design and we began experimenting with it too, but it's unstable" with a classic ominous final scene where his eyes open. No problems for continuity, no shoehorning last minute emotions in, just questions for later. If they did bring him back, it would almost need a dedicated story. Preferably with something beyond just being really strong to make him relevant. Maybe something that keeps Goku and Vegeta from going blue, so the fighting ends up on a level Gohan, Piccolo and others can be relevant.
Hmmmm what if Raditz was an android in the android saga...that would be a super interesting scenario. Raditz is android 19 and Launch is 18. It would be be fun to hear Android Raditz destroying Vegeta as some sort of vengeance.
As cool as the idea maybe, that being Goku “somehow” wanting to resurrect his Saiyan Family. That always felt impossible, to me at least. But then again, we live in a world where BROLY is canon and Goku remembers Something about his real parents (how they look like). Two things that I also thought we’re impossible………. But hey, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Look what happened with Axel in Kingdom Hearts. He switched sides. It definitely could be done, and I think that would be a really cool thing to have happen
What if Raditz were to appear in the final scene of the movie, like how Goku visited Broly on Vampa. Or maybe even an after credits scene? Many of the criticism still stand, but I think it would allow for future hype, the attention to Gohan remains intact mostly
If Raditz were to come back, it should be the focus of a movie, like one of the Son family wondering about their Saiyan heritage. I'd buy that Raditz is a post-credits teaser for another movie instead of him being the surprise villain.
In regards to how Gohan would react to Raditz, in XenoVerse if you if you have adult Gohan and Raditz on the same team (maybe against each other, can't remember) Raditz won't recognize him and ask why Gohan is staring at. Gohan will say "I am Gohan" sounding pretty peeved. It's not much but it's something.
this is an issue i felt this movie would have from showing trailers to showcasing characters in their new art style. there's going to be too much going on in a DBZ/DBS Movie. we have Plot A consisting of Gohan, Pan, Piccolo and the Red Ribbon Army then we have Plot B on Beerus' Planet where Goku is training Broly, which means we can expect Beerus, Whis, Vegeta, Cheelai and Lemo too then we have Plot C and a potential Plot D focusing on other characters who were showcased in the new art form like aged up Goten and Trunks i fear for this movie man
In the newest chapter of super it was shown that bardock made a wish with the cerelean dragon balls for his sons to have a “good future” or something to that effect 🤔 maybe we can see raditz come back some time in the future. I think it’d be cool if we get the long awaited “vegeta in universe 6” arc he might feel more inclined to bring back the saiyans? Who knows 🤷♂️
I had an idea about how Raditz could one day return which involves the afterlife initiating a sot of reformation program for villains in HFIL who wished to change their ways. Raditz could have been one of the first inductees into this program with his motivation being that after seeing how his brother Goku had developed over the years, becoming the first Super Saiyan and defeating Frieza being the main moments. made him want to reconcile with his brother. So after completing the program Raditz would get a 24-hour return to the living realm so he could try to reconcile with all those he had wronged in his past. Then if he gets full forgiveness from everyone Raditz would get a chance to use a Dragon Ball wish to bring himself back to full life. Though that might take a whole dedicated story arc to tell fully. Not something you can just slap onto the end of a movie.

I'd be most interested to see Raditz interact with current Vegeta. Would he bow to the Prince ? Would he see Vegeta as soft? Would Vegeta show him the basic decency of Earth that turned him good? Maybe find out someday on an episode of Dragon Ball something.
We could see Raditz as part of Gohan's inner, repressed fears, imprinted upon a blank-slate android body (oh no, Kingdom Hearts replicas!), for Gohan to face his depths and conquer himself to break every limit as a super-powered member of modern society.

Seems like the most obvious comparison here is Winter Soldier from Marvel and the MCU. Raditz being the Red Ribbon Army's personal enforcer that they've been using out in space ever since harvesting what was left of Raditz and his spaceship from that battlefield.
Honestly, I feel like a sayian can't be an android if the original Broly means anything. I only say that because having "Overflowing power" in a sayian seems to have very adverse effects, and if a Sayian has the infinity engine... who knows what that could do.
I would accept it if he wasn’t someone they fight but something they discovered after beating Gamma 1 & 2, like a previous project that they gave up on, like with Android 16 originally A Saiyan Bio Android, that gets stronger with every near death experience, but because of his personality he was hard to control so they kept him on ice
Yeah though if Raditz was brought back via his brother wishing to Shenron or Getting permission on a high level to have Whis bring Raditz, Bardock and Gine back to life then that would be a likely scenario but then Raditz would be used for gags like Trunks and Goten but in the sense a gag adults would understand. But the whole red ribbon army bringing back Raditz would make little sense as in order to replace some of his organic being and bringing him back to the world of the living would be difficult as his body would and should have been rotting for sometime since it be like nearly two decades by that point.
I kinda feel like that Raditz leak is the end credit teaser you know? Like Gohan wins day saved and after the end credits the last member of the red ribbon goes to his "secret lab" and says: "I didn't want to do this" and boom next movie is "the return of Raditz".
I don’t care what the fandom says, I want Raditz in this movie! I’ve been waiting for years for Goku to finally meet or at least be aware of Bardock and Gine! I NEED THIS!
They could bring him in as a joke. Like build up "Making a cyborg from a human was powerful...but what if we made one from a Saiyan!?". Only to answer the shock and concern from our heroes with "...we'd have a horrible failure" and a brief montage of cyber-Raditz being just that. Not as satisfying, but it avoids the problems of bringing him back in for real.
I would use him as a red herring. The Red Ribbon scientist thinks that "he has to be just as strong as the other Saiyans", upgrades his body/corpse even further as an Android... and then he gets stomped into the dirt in minutes, requiring them to release the _actual_ final boss (probably a Bio-Broly-esque experiment with a similar Weaksauce Weakness to exploit). Or it's like Sauza's last gasp in the first Cooler movie, where he actually _is_ the last line of defence and his accomplishing nothing is played for laughs.
I want Raditz back in Dragon Ball. BUT it needs to be done properly, with a proper Goku/Raditz convo and all that. It would be kind of cool having Raditz being the "Superman" for Earth though, going around and handling Human issues around the planet. Like The Great Saiyaman, only... more? It keeps him around and doing things, and doesn't require him to undergo some insane contrivance to power up to Goku and Vegeta levels.
Although I DO admit.... "What-if Raditz was turned into an Android" would be kind of an interesting story.... Like you meantioned, him being Android 19 instead of... well, the canon 19.
there's also the possibility of it being an post movie scene or last scene kind of like the Kakarot scene in DBS Broly like the revelation for another movie or an arc on the manga or show
I want to see "What if Raditz and Nappa were brought back for the Androids" Im imaging Vegeta bring up reviving them to boster their ranks, Piccolo surprising people by backing up this idea and pointing out Gohan's growth alone/ what Saiyans are capable of Then maybe Nappa goes with Vegeta and helps him get Super Saiyan, meanwhile Raditz spends time training with Goku and Gohan w/ Piccolo trading off. Perhaps at some point Raditz and Tien train together with Raditz preferring the lethality of the Crane School style this could also help to justify when Tien holds off Cell By the Buu Saga we could have Cool Uncle Raditz taking care of Goten and Body Guard Nappa watching over Trunks.
a few years ago I made a "what if Goku landed on Fallout's earth" where Raditz was replaced by a Synth. Surprised that my what if might've predicted Super Dragon Ball Super Heroes.
I think you can actually make a what if video called "what if Raditz return as Android 19?" Raditz might not need his hands to absorb energy but a crystal device in his chest to fill the hole.
hello Masako X, I would like to see what it would be like if raditz came back in a new season of dragon ball super as evil saiyan, because in Dragon ball super heroes he using ssj3 tied with turles that tied with cumber ssj3 full power, and it would be cool to see the legendary ssj canon vs the evil ssj, and the title could be a reference to the ep in which he appears "the evil saiyan that came from space".
My idea of whats in the pods are either Bio Broly clone, or A character that references Super Android 13 Bio Broly because they got a reason for it, Broly DNA is around the battle field, some blood sample, hell could have DNA from Goku and Vegeta mixed in and could explain when the bio Saiyan starts to melt and fall apart as the DNA they got isn’t stable. Super 13 could be just a Gamma 3 who absorbs what remains of Gamma 1 and 2, some scientists could say something like ‘1 and two are both a 5 in our power, when combined with Gamma 3, they become a 13.’ Just a little fun thoughts I got.
I saw one of the random rumors was this was an post-credits clip or something, so he would be involved in the next movie, not this one, which would be cool. Get the "why is he alive" out of the way early so you can have a movie more focused on his return. Otherwise I think if he is the last minute villain you could do something with maybe Gohan and Piccolo saving Goku instead, as a reflection to the beginning of Z, with Piccolo using the Makankosappo at the end but Gohan survives. It could be a neat bit of throwback in a way

In a spin-off Called "R trekking across the universe" with Tori-Bot showing up sometimes like the Kai to Zeno's GoD
I would like raditz return as cyborg , Hear me gohan's fighting life started because of raditz . Also if raditz survive the movie raditz might search for other scientist for more power leaving his saiyan pride . Vegeta might go in search for raditz because they are of same crew . If vegeta will get mad seeing a saiyan loosing his pride but raditz new technology power overpowers vegeta . I beleive something like this would be cool but knowing dbs they never plan for more than 2 arcs so this might probably does not matter

@@valentds no, Toriyama said in an interview one time that Trunks and Goten turned Super Sayian so easily because they had high S-cell levels inherited from their fathers and the relative peacefulness of earth. (S-cells being something only sayians have and once enough accumulate through training and a sudden burst of rage that’s how they become super sayian) there are contradictions in this though haha stating a rage boost is needed but Trunks and Goten achieved it because of the easy peaceful life they lived.

It is very interesting to see the wish that Bardock made, and what ramifications that could have with Radditz and Goku's fight.

Honestly Gero bringing back Raditz in the Android saga would've been really cool, could've been a great way to explain his massive power boost and he could've even turned good towards the end, or sacrifice himself to save Goku or Gohan.

I have always liked Raditz and it has always pissed me off with how quickly he was discarded and never mentioned again. even long before Masako did the what if Raditz turned good I always liked Raditz. would it be easy to botch it? People think Raditz wouldn't have any character development but when you think about it, Vegeta really did want to take down Frieza and Raditz with Nappa were in on it as they knew it was Frieza who destroyed their planet but they kept going with the meteor story to not arouse Frieza's suspicion back then that Vegeta was plotting to avenge his homeworld of planet Vegeta. Raditz I'm sure in his years in hell would have wanted to know what his brother like and disliked as well as get to know his nephew whom he didn't want to hurt at first.
I don't know if it was just me, but as soon as it was revealed we'd be seeing Goten & Trunks AGED UP in this movie: it took the focus away from Gohan in my eyes. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Gohan is gonna do well in the film. Honestly, I thought he had a good look in the manga where he and Piccolo fought 7-3 in the Moro Arc.
I know we're supposed to get Fat Teen Gotenks, but if we got a proper fusion between the two then shoot that's all everyone will talk about since we've wanted it for SO LONG!

You know, everybody's entitled to their opinion, but the people on social media who actually rant that you had a negative impact on the fandom just becaue you made a what if series that people liked, that just seems like tryharding. Especially when they say Raditz took Vegeta's arc, which makes me think they either didn't watch the series or don't know Vegeta. Raditz in your Turned Good story, was never so prideful to the point of being illogical like Vegeta. Vegeta takes years to turn actually good and Raditz didn't need one of his children to get a hole through the chest or finally beat Kakarot to do it.
It's not like Raditz marries Bulma or stops Vegeta from doing what he does in the original more or less. Meanwhile Vegeta forges his own path, and maybe he's more of a jerk, but come on. A slight breeze could change the man's arc. And ultimately he does mellow out. It feels like people are just mad the What-If series they didn't watch didn't have Vegeta as the main focal point. As if Super didn't do that enough.
I mean reason why people dislike that what if because Vegeta got shafted in that What if. What's the point of him getting SSJ4 in super? Why would he use a blutz wave over a rival? Vegeta will always train to get forms.
Shafted? Well maybe, but at that point of the what-if Vegeta wantes to take his own path via SSJ4. As far as I'm concerned, Vegeta had no problem with Bulma using the Blutz Wave generator (in GT), the gravity room or the RoSaT to get strong easily, so why should we complain that he uses technology to his advantage in a what-if?
Imo, Vegeta fanboys simply can't stand the fact that their dear prince in shining saiyan armor isn't, has never been, and will never be N°1.

I say if there ever was a time and a place for Raditz returning in some form of another it would be because of Goku learning more about his Saiyan heritage with the Granola Arc thanks to Namakian saving Bardock's scouter. Remember those scouters record conversations especially the part where Bardock say he wants his son's to "Thrive"

it is important for Goku. Learning about his saiyan side would only expand his character. Up until now he thought that saiyans are barbarians and him being an "earthling" feels like he is the opposite. But now he understands that he was wrong. His father fought a powerful enemy to protect someone, which shouldn't be impossible. And if he manages to remember more about his parents, it will fully change his perspective. Why is his father protecting someone ? Why is his mother so much different then all the other saiyans and pure of heart ? All this could make for a great development
@@razien9941 The Saiyans were still violent barbarians regardless of a few outliers. They committed so much genocide and destruction so his initial perception was justified and still is. Plus, Goku already accepts his Saiyan heritage and honestly doesn't care about Bardock, Gine, and Raditz. He's still an 'Earthling' but with Saiyan.

@@razien9941 That's a separate universe so they don't count towards the U7 Saiyans. Goku still loathes the Saiyan race entirely just now he accepts that he is indeed a Saiyan and likes all the advantages it gives him, but overall doesn't care about his race as a whole. Goku suddenly caring is so out of character/place and comes from fans whining and projecting their desires onto the character.
Honestly, the best time to bring him back would have been long before Super begins, in the early Android saga. Anytime after either has too much time between his death and the current arc or had too much going on for him to be very helpful, not to mention he would need time to develop.
This movie is basically another sequel to the Red Ribbon Army arc, and a sequel to the Cell arc by association. Raditz had nothing to do with the original Red Ribbon Army arc. And the only thing he contributed to the Cell arc was "oh, Gero captured data on his fight with Goku and Piccolo, and used that in his Androids". There is no thematic connection between the arcs Super Hero is cribbing from and Raditz. What would Raditz ADD to anything? Nothing! And in a movie, every scene needs to count for something.
I wonder if Raditz' corpse was ever buried or left to rot out in the open after Piccolo penetrated him with a Special Beam Cannon.

I would actually love to see Raditz come back and to have some redemption for his character. Though I do agree that this wouldn't be the right time to bring him in. I would even be satisfied with it being a post credit scene type idea
IF TRUE, it would be a lot of fan service for some, an Android Saiyan, and likely Raditz going Super Saiyan as well I could see. This could be a move to start to bring back two of the characters done most dirty IMO, Raditz and Nappa. But that's definitely my own wishful thinking. I have always wanted them to come back with redemption arcs.

Listen i LOVE Raditz. Anyone who spends 10 minutes with me will know that. But i don’t think Raditz should come back like some where zombie android. I’d want Raditz to “come back” as himself. I want more flashbacks to the Bardock family and see their relationship. I want more flashbacks of the Saiyan trio back when they were still traveling and working together and seeing how they sorta found-family’ed with eachother. Hell I’ll take more alternate timelines that gives him even just a little more time on Earth with his family.
Thats why I love the games and how the games love looking into his character! So I’m happy as long as the games keep using him.
But also i DO love the idea of him coming back so we can get more Saiyan history and lore (god knows Vegeta doesn’t talk to anyone about being a Saiyan), more on Goku’s on family, and just to have him back in general! I love the big man!
But putting my bias aside he shouldn’t be be brough back like this. As much as i love the idea of an android Raditz and seeing him fight on par with everyone again, it would feel like some fake out, another imposter Raditz like Basaku and Cumber.
I thought that raditz would be the first Android to show up then revealing a bunch of Frankenstein Androids made out of the remains of a load of ex-mukes Nappa, a bunch of Frieza force members, king cold, pui pui, yakon, Spopovich, Yamu and a bunch of galactic patrol prisoners.
Nappa was obliterated though.

Something that it has been on my mind as of late. Most people still want to believe it's either Cell in the capsule, or a "Gamma 3" or any sort of new villain. But the fact that the marketing insist on promoting Broly, yet it seems like all his scenes are training in another planet (like a reminder that he is a thing) and now the marketing also reminding us the battle with Broly was one Earth... what if the Ultimate Evil in the Capsule is actually Bio-Broly, but for real now? Goku's training with Broly is the set up to remind the audience how strong he is and how his rage burst works, and so, when a mindless, super powered Bio-Broly shows up, we don't need further explanation to understand it. Maybe even tie up Broly's Rage powers with the original times Gohan himself powered up through Rage alone. I mean, back on Z, Broly's original sequel, was Second Coming, with Gohan vs Broly fight... and for bonus points we have Gotens and Trunks around, as well as Satan and 18, the whole cast of the original Bio-Broly, and even the Gammas fill for the Bio-Soldiers.

One thing I will argue against though. If Goku was willing to spare Vegeta, and Gohan was reluctantly made to welcome him as regular company, having an older Gohan try and give a returning Raditz a _chance_ at a second chance is hardly a stretch at this point IF it goes that far and they don't just off him. But, even more poignant, with Piccolo around he probably gets to make a few jabs for being whole instead of holey. BUT, even MORE poignant, we might get Pan getting to know her Grunkle Raditz; And that, more than anything, rustles my Jimmies good.
You do make a good point MasakoX. Bringing Raditz into this new movie after so many years… is not gonna workout so well. As much as I wish that they’ve done more with the guy, this is not the way to go.
I love how people are ALREADY not liking the fact that raditz is in and how it "makes no sense"....even though the movie isn't out....yet... hell he MAY be used as an android by the red ribbon army? Maybe they made a straight up android recreation of raditz to mess woth gokus head somehow? (It makes sense when thinking how the red ribbon army thinks) or something along those lines.

If these new androids are to win the hearts and minds of the public and show how evil Saiyans are... you need an evil Saiyan weak enough to not be a threat but strong enough to wreak havoc for the androids to stop with ease.
My guess is they're just using his corpse for research. Easy access to a relatively unlimited source of Saiyan DNA for plot reasons.

As well all know, Raditz really wasn't growing up well, when your "friends" keep telling you you're as strong or weaker than a saibaman than you know you're not really growing up "well". People can make the assumption that that's just how Saiyans grow up, that's what counts as well for Saiyans, but then that wouldn't explain Goku's life. He grew up with a loving grandpa, good friends and rivals, Raditz basically had nothing

I kind of like the idea of "we used this Saiyan creature's DNA to enhance their design and we began experimenting with it too, but it's unstable" with a classic ominous final scene where his eyes open. No problems for continuity, no shoehorning last minute emotions in, just questions for later.
If they did bring him back, it would almost need a dedicated story. Preferably with something beyond just being really strong to make him relevant. Maybe something that keeps Goku and Vegeta from going blue, so the fighting ends up on a level Gohan, Piccolo and others can be relevant.

Hmmmm what if Raditz was an android in the android saga...that would be a super interesting scenario. Raditz is android 19 and Launch is 18. It would be be fun to hear Android Raditz destroying Vegeta as some sort of vengeance.
As cool as the idea maybe, that being Goku “somehow” wanting to resurrect his Saiyan Family. That always felt impossible, to me at least.
But then again, we live in a world where BROLY is canon and Goku remembers Something about his real parents (how they look like). Two things that I also thought we’re impossible………. But hey, we’ll just have to wait and see.

What if Raditz were to appear in the final scene of the movie, like how Goku visited Broly on Vampa. Or maybe even an after credits scene? Many of the criticism still stand, but I think it would allow for future hype, the attention to Gohan remains intact mostly
If Raditz were to come back, it should be the focus of a movie, like one of the Son family wondering about their Saiyan heritage. I'd buy that Raditz is a post-credits teaser for another movie instead of him being the surprise villain.
In regards to how Gohan would react to Raditz, in XenoVerse if you if you have adult Gohan and Raditz on the same team (maybe against each other, can't remember) Raditz won't recognize him and ask why Gohan is staring at. Gohan will say "I am Gohan" sounding pretty peeved. It's not much but it's something.
this is an issue i felt this movie would have from showing trailers to showcasing characters in their new art style. there's going to be too much going on in a DBZ/DBS Movie.
we have Plot A consisting of Gohan, Pan, Piccolo and the Red Ribbon Army
then we have Plot B on Beerus' Planet where Goku is training Broly, which means we can expect Beerus, Whis, Vegeta, Cheelai and Lemo too
then we have Plot C and a potential Plot D focusing on other characters who were showcased in the new art form like aged up Goten and Trunks

It's never explained what happened to raditz body. The z fighters just kind of left it there, maybe RR ended up taking it and cloning him.
In the newest chapter of super it was shown that bardock made a wish with the cerelean dragon balls for his sons to have a “good future” or something to that effect 🤔 maybe we can see raditz come back some time in the future. I think it’d be cool if we get the long awaited “vegeta in universe 6” arc he might feel more inclined to bring back the saiyans? Who knows 🤷♂️

I had an idea about how Raditz could one day return which involves the afterlife initiating a sot of reformation program for villains in HFIL who wished to change their ways. Raditz could have been one of the first inductees into this program with his motivation being that after seeing how his brother Goku had developed over the years, becoming the first Super Saiyan and defeating Frieza being the main moments. made him want to reconcile with his brother. So after completing the program Raditz would get a 24-hour return to the living realm so he could try to reconcile with all those he had wronged in his past. Then if he gets full forgiveness from everyone Raditz would get a chance to use a Dragon Ball wish to bring himself back to full life.
Though that might take a whole dedicated story arc to tell fully. Not something you can just slap onto the end of a movie.

I'd be most interested to see Raditz interact with current Vegeta. Would he bow to the Prince ? Would he see Vegeta as soft? Would Vegeta show him the basic decency of Earth that turned him good? Maybe find out someday on an episode of Dragon Ball something.
We could see Raditz as part of Gohan's inner, repressed fears, imprinted upon a blank-slate android body (oh no, Kingdom Hearts replicas!), for Gohan to face his depths and conquer himself to break every limit as a super-powered member of modern society.

Seems like the most obvious comparison here is Winter Soldier from Marvel and the MCU. Raditz being the Red Ribbon Army's personal enforcer that they've been using out in space ever since harvesting what was left of Raditz and his spaceship from that battlefield.
Honestly, I feel like a sayian can't be an android if the original Broly means anything. I only say that because having "Overflowing power" in a sayian seems to have very adverse effects, and if a Sayian has the infinity engine... who knows what that could do.

Yeah though if Raditz was brought back via his brother wishing to Shenron or Getting permission on a high level to have Whis bring Raditz, Bardock and Gine back to life then that would be a likely scenario but then Raditz would be used for gags like Trunks and Goten but in the sense a gag adults would understand. But the whole red ribbon army bringing back Raditz would make little sense as in order to replace some of his organic being and bringing him back to the world of the living would be difficult as his body would and should have been rotting for sometime since it be like nearly two decades by that point.
I think Raditz should be included in a clever way like how Bardock discovered Planet Vegeta's destruction

I kinda feel like that Raditz leak is the end credit teaser you know? Like Gohan wins day saved and after the end credits the last member of the red ribbon goes to his "secret lab" and says: "I didn't want to do this" and boom next movie is "the return of Raditz".

They could bring him in as a joke. Like build up "Making a cyborg from a human was powerful...but what if we made one from a Saiyan!?". Only to answer the shock and concern from our heroes with "...we'd have a horrible failure" and a brief montage of cyber-Raditz being just that. Not as satisfying, but it avoids the problems of bringing him back in for real.
I would use him as a red herring. The Red Ribbon scientist thinks that "he has to be just as strong as the other Saiyans", upgrades his body/corpse even further as an Android... and then he gets stomped into the dirt in minutes, requiring them to release the _actual_ final boss (probably a Bio-Broly-esque experiment with a similar Weaksauce Weakness to exploit). Or it's like Sauza's last gasp in the first Cooler movie, where he actually _is_ the last line of defence and his accomplishing nothing is played for laughs.
I want Raditz back in Dragon Ball. BUT it needs to be done properly, with a proper Goku/Raditz convo and all that.
It would be kind of cool having Raditz being the "Superman" for Earth though, going around and handling Human issues around the planet.

Although I DO admit.... "What-if Raditz was turned into an Android" would be kind of an interesting story.... Like you meantioned, him being Android 19 instead of... well, the canon 19.
there's also the possibility of it being an post movie scene or last scene kind of like the Kakarot scene in DBS Broly like the revelation for another movie or an arc on the manga or show

Im imaging Vegeta bring up reviving them to boster their ranks, Piccolo surprising people by backing up this idea and pointing out Gohan's growth alone/ what Saiyans are capable of
Then maybe Nappa goes with Vegeta and helps him get Super Saiyan, meanwhile Raditz spends time training with Goku and Gohan w/ Piccolo trading off. Perhaps at some point Raditz and Tien train together with Raditz preferring the lethality of the Crane School style this could also help to justify when Tien holds off Cell
By the Buu Saga we could have Cool Uncle Raditz taking care of Goten and Body Guard Nappa watching over Trunks.

hello Masako X, I would like to see what it would be like if raditz came back in a new season of dragon ball super as evil saiyan, because in Dragon ball super heroes he using ssj3 tied with turles that tied with cumber ssj3 full power, and it would be cool to see the legendary ssj canon vs the evil ssj, and the title could be a reference to the ep in which he appears "the evil saiyan that came from space".
My idea of whats in the pods are either Bio Broly clone, or A character that references Super Android 13
Bio Broly because they got a reason for it, Broly DNA is around the battle field, some blood sample, hell could have DNA from Goku and Vegeta mixed in and could explain when the bio Saiyan starts to melt and fall apart as the DNA they got isn’t stable.
Super 13 could be just a Gamma 3 who absorbs what remains of Gamma 1 and 2, some scientists could say something like ‘1 and two are both a 5 in our power, when combined with Gamma 3, they become a 13.’

I saw one of the random rumors was this was an post-credits clip or something, so he would be involved in the next movie, not this one, which would be cool. Get the "why is he alive" out of the way early so you can have a movie more focused on his return.
Otherwise I think if he is the last minute villain you could do something with maybe Gohan and Piccolo saving Goku instead, as a reflection to the beginning of Z, with Piccolo using the Makankosappo at the end but Gohan survives. It could be a neat bit of throwback in a way

I would like raditz return as cyborg , Hear me gohan's fighting life started because of raditz . Also if raditz survive the movie raditz might search for other scientist for more power leaving his saiyan pride . Vegeta might go in search for raditz because they are of same crew . If vegeta will get mad seeing a saiyan loosing his pride but raditz new technology power overpowers vegeta . I beleive something like this would be cool but knowing dbs they never plan for more than 2 arcs so this might probably does not matter
