How hard would you say the ASVAB test was? I wanna join this year. :)
@@aiadudez9329 I know you didn’t ask me lol but I used the Kaplan asvab book which helped a lot. I also used grammar hero’s videos on RUclips to learn the math stuff and it helped so much! I’m 27 so I’ve been out of school for a while now and forgot a lot of stuff. Those two things helped a ton. I’d say I studied for abt 2 months and got a 83 on my asvab. I didn’t think it was too hard. The science section was difficult for me definitely guessed for most of them lol but the math section was easy after watching grammar hero. Reading was pretty easy too.

@@SFarlough it was pretty easy for me because i had nothing on my background , no tickets, no medical problems so the process went smoothly , but my fiancé tried to join and he couldn’t get in as quickly as i could because he has to take care of his tickets, work on a license and he has a medical history of asthma

Hey!! Just a heads up- I was told by my recruiter and it says on DEP your underwear needs to be black or white only and they need to cover your butt (non thong granny panties basically lmao). I just noticed it when you held up the bag and wanted to let you know so you don’t get in trouble!! Best of luck girl I’ll be there soon too!

Hey Gabby, it IS better to have neutral colors. Black, gray, browns...but they actually aren’t are strict on the colors anymore, but just the style. It has to be briefs. I am currently in DEP, but I have a lot of friends in and that have been going through bmt recently!

@@camilleleake6022 thank you, I wanted to keep my regular size body wash and shampoo but I think it will be easier to put them in travel size bottles. I'm not coming by plane, only by bus.

Yes you can bring whatever you want that’s travel sized. They will give you sunscreen.
Did they let you in with all this stuff because all I got was shampoo lotion toothpaste toothbrush deodorant and I got my braids same as yours

How did you pre address your letters ? I leave for basic soon and don’t know laclands address
I just wrote my family and friends address down and added a stamp to each one

camille leake I took my Asvab but I’m retaking it the 20th and if I do well to get the jobs I want then I’ll take my physical the next day and hopefully sign in, how did choosing or them assigning your ship date work?

So after i signed My enlistment contract I met with my recruiter and he gave me a list of jobs I qualified depending on what my ASVAB score I got to choose 10 jobs that I would like to have. Whenever one of those jobs on my list open up he will let me know. After waiting for a little bit I finally got my second choice.

i have a question how do you become an e3
before joining?
There are multiple ways the first one is to have 48 or more college credits.
Second is to have you Eagle Scouts award for Boy Scouts or your Girl Scout gold award.
Third way to have the E-3 rank is through ROTC or civil air patrol. If you received any of these ranks in ROTC or civil air patrol “Billy Mitchell, Amelia Earhart or Carl Spaatz Award” then you should be able to be an e-3 when you join. I would always double check with an recruiter tho.

And another thing, my recruiter informed me that you can be an e-3 once you get out of tech school if you sign for 6 years
