Total respect for your professional quality of an end product. Finding a painter of your character and ability is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Not sure what you charged this customer but I’m sure you could have gotten much more. I have been a painter for 35 years and learned several tips from your videos. Michael, get the small festool drill. The CSX compact drill. It will change your life and blow your mind how awsome it is for the type of work that you do. Taking apart and putting back together a kitchen, hardware, knobs, sliders, etc.. Is so pleasant and pleasurable when using that thing. Its expensive, but its a night and day difference to the orange one you have. And although its not brushless, the battery life is crazy long. Power wise, very good and impressive. Smoothness wise, the smoothest out there for its size. Sound wise, the quietest out there too.
What say you Steve the pharmacist from Pennsylvania mentioned how badass that Festool drill is. Was a glowing review about it too. I’ll have to pick one up
I have the Milwaukee m12 fuel impact. I love it. Small enough to get into almost any cabinet. It has 3 settings. Number 1 is the perfect torque for hinges.

I’ve taken down and sanded my doors and drawer fronts. But I needed a good push to proceed. I have 51 doors and drawer fronts to do, so I was slow to go to the next step. Eric Reason thank you! Kitchens that size are rare for me. This was the smallest kitchen we have done. Regularly 45-60 doors and drawers on a usual job. Don’t really like the smaller ones as they take too long. Average job for me is 5-6 days
I quoted a job that wanted 2 tone. light top dark bottom. should i try to get them to do an all single color just to save myself time and head aches? dont think ill get upcharge to do 2 tone anyhow. i feel its just a fad that will fade soon .

This was so amazing! I'm not a professional painter and I've been contemplating doing my master bathroom cabinets and bar cabinets - in black - for a long time. The fear of it all made me procrastinate until I saw your 6 part series. If you could answer a couple of questions before I get started: Please recommend an (uncomplicated;) paint sprayer for a non-professional painter like me, to use at home for our bar and bathroom, as well as some furniture pieces. Do you ever use a paint brush and/or roller instead of the sprayer for smaller projects and if so, which brand and brush type/roller type do you recommend? Would you use the General Finishes Enduro Poly Satin for furniture as well? Oh, and did you use 2 coats of the BIN primer on the cabinet box fronts (I may have missed seeing the 2nd coat). Thanks so much!
Anna Quintiliani glad you enjoyed them! Easy sprayer would be a cheap graco sprayer from a big box store. 2 coats of primer is a good idea. Hello. You mention taking classes at the end of this vid. Could you recommend a comprehensive cabinet finishing course you took or are aware of? I'm located on Long Island, NY. Also, thinking about purchasing the Paintline PSDR. Do you have any pros/cons of hanging doors vs laying flat? Thanks! Appreciate your time.
Definitely recommend henri Mendez as an instructor if he is still teaching classes. He teaches at IDAL once a year at least. There are also a few other people in the country offering classes but not sure how it’s going to work with covid right now. As for the PSDR I do recommend it for long drying products. I use a lot of fast drying products so I tend to spray flat.
I do not. Here in Wisconsin we go from -60 in the winter to 90 in the summer with huge swings in humidity. Every time I see cabinets caulked they fail here
@@MichaelCraine I understand your concerns about humidity and temperature fluctuations but most homes these days have central air which keeps temp and humidity within a very narrow range. Have the caulking failures you've seen been limited to homes with no central air installed? Or to ALL homes including those with central air? BTW, excellent video series!!!
John Bernard with and without. 100k houses and 700k houses. The HVAC and Humidifier setups in some of these houses are worth more than most of the cars I’ve had in my life and it still happens

joe carrr got a couple of the 12 volt rigid ones since then they aren’t too shabby but would like a bit better torque settings

Brad ouellette 1.0 or 1.3 tip at 5.5 lbs of power at the turbine for enduro and bin. No we do not thing Gf enduro at all it is thin enough already
