Gorgeous shots, and a great analysis of the film! I shot my first roll of Aerochrome a few months and can definitely attest to how narrow the exposure window is. It's a struggle and I don't know if I can justify the cost, but the slides you get back always look magical.
I just watched your video! You have the same problems as I did in the underexposed shots for sure. The one of the walkway leading into the trees is absolutely stunning.
@@Shaka1277 Thank you! I think for Aerochrome (and slide film in general) it might be useful to invest in a proper spot meter, so I'm still saving up for that, but I now know to avoid contrasty scenes haha. Looking forward to your future videos. I like how informative you are!
I think the aero"chrome" worked really well, yeah! I'd like to shoot some more old cars - properly maintained and with nice chrome - whenever I shoot it again.
If you use an orange/red filter, less yellow light hits the film than if you use a yellow filter, so the final infrared result turns out more red than pink. Of course you can also change it in post!
The film is very sensitive to both UV and blue light, so without a filter that cuts out blue light, you'd probably pick up a generic blue/cyan image, sort of like the colours in this one: www.flickr.com/photos/155307394@N06/51370160708/in/album-72157719569527040/
Kodak please bring back aerochrome. Even if it's 50$ a roll
Wow !! Absolutely lovely film. Great shots. Wonderful video , as usual. Thanks
Thank you for the kind words 🙌

Thank you, I'm trying to be helpful more than entertaining.
I think the cars are the perfect subjects for the colour rendition of the aerochrome, the metals just work and you’ve created great compositions.

Great shots, my only question is: Why some people get red instead of pink with Aerochrome?

@@Shaka1277 Thanks, that film is so expensive right now that I doubt I would ever shoot it.😩😩
yeah dude.... got some bangers! 🚀🚀🚀
🙌Hell yeah, you know it! Just 20 frames is really limiting though! I might have to shoot the next in a "normal" camera.
Great shots! I really want to know where to buy these 🙏
What colour does green go if you don’t use the yellow or orange filter ?

I wish Kodak would come back aerochrome just like Ektachrome
Same :(
Do you know if using a yellow filter will give the same look when using lomochrome purple ?
Sadly not. I'm going to do an in-depth scientific test in the future to see just how close you can get to the same look, but the answer is "not very".
@@Shaka1277 ah thanks for letting me know, I’ll keep a look out in the future for when you make the video :)
But there is another...it's called Kodak EIR?
It exists but it's even harder to get than Aerochrome. I've only seen two usable rolls for sale in the past 18 months personally.
