  • I’m making a guide or jig to help locate where the router bit will be cutting. This is a simple jig, every cabinet maker should have. It makes it easy and more accurate in placing dado’s in your boards. You should make one for yourself, it’s simple and easy to make and use. This video will show how to make a useful jig, for the router. This will save you a lot of time.

    This is great, I wonder though if it could be adapted to route dadoes in narrower pieces of ply, I am thinking for the bottom of drawers, I have just 2 drawers to make so don't need to build a table exactly.

      I have done that! Make a wood router base plate, screw a wood fence on it. Now you can cut grooves for the drawer bottoms.

    Easy and to the point!
    Little intro music and a mic on your shirt and I’d subscribe.. 😉

      @@diywoodworkingdan The sound was actually okay, sure a lavalier mic would improve it but not critical. You don't need music imo, intro wouldn't hurt but please not in the background to you talking.

    And what do you do when the piece being routered is taller than the T-square?

      @diywoodworkingdan  8 месяцев назад +1

      I make another longer T-square. I’ll make them to fit my needs.
