They do cogg a bit I have the brushless and brushed version, check out my channel I have done some mods to my drift truck on there. I put a 2s 1500 zee battery in both trucks, the brushless cogged worse then stock battery, the brushed one loved it. Then I went to a 25t dynamite brushed motor and it's the perfect drift truck. Throttle response is great on the new 25t brushed motor.
