Thats my swing technique..... a la Sam Snead. Love it can play draws or cuts, scratch golfer. OTT is very minor tho so still inside as backswing is very inside... feels great. Great channel Steve!
Very good Steve. The only part of the swing which really matters is from just before to just after impact. The rest of the swing is just figuring out a way to get impact right.
Thank you for the useful info Steve. One of the Goat of golf Sam Snead actually hitting balls this way. It would be nice if u can do a follow up video and how Snead made this swing work for himself.
They're much better and more orthodox inside and over the top swingers and they were some of the greatest of all-time. We're talking Snead, Hogan, knudson, Calvin Peete, Langer, Palmer....
Steve, how do you drop into the slot if you're too over the top and coming across the ball? I've tried the stick extended from the golf bag with a head cover on it routine and I tend to go back to my previous swing when the bag and stick aren't there? Is there another question you can give us to drop into the slot?
I second Steve's advice(for what it's worth 😃) of DRY SWINGS because it sounds like you potentially have a HIT issue with the ball. The club head HITS the ball, the club SWINGS, your body swings the club. In other words your body does not "hit" suddenly from the top.
@@tylerhawk742 its more that Over the top is a better way to swing a golf club rather than modern day PGA coaches saying dropping it under. MSE is spreading how the old pga pros used to swing a golf club, and he doesn't want to lead golfers down the path he took.

First video of yours that I take exception to.... I suggest sticking with the classical method you teach. You're still my go to video golf instructor.

Keep practicing and make the headcover tougher. Do lots of dry swings to get the feel.

IMO, the over the top, as you suggest, is not the shaft. I see it as a right shoulder move and then low and left through impact.
Shots fired at “MSE” 🤫
I do not know who that is.
@@Inmotion70 it’s another RUclipsr who’s recent claim is basically all the tour players swing over the top and is promoting everyone swing like that.
