    Handz wakes up every day and says "How can I get myself into the sickest spot of my life?" and then flats QQ.

    • @brandonc422
      @brandonc422 11 месяцев назад +45

      It's really not as sick of a spot. The fact he flatted QQ was what made Rampage think he had a chance to get him to fold. Let's be real 99% of players are calling there. Rampage would never attempt that bluff if he knew what he had so the fact Handz flatted rather than raise put him in a position to capitalize. The fact he fumbled the bag and folded the hand doesn't change the rest of it or that it was a massive punt by Rampage. I like the guy but if that gets called everyone is laughing at him. Happy it wasn't but still.

      @@brandonc422The stakes played a role in it.....the more money on the table the more you can bluff. Handz clearly didn't want to risk a million dollars unless he had the nuts. Ethan sensed this and took advantage of it.....

    • @brandonc422
      @brandonc422 11 месяцев назад +13

      @@ianburns3358 Ethan has a knack for not knowing when to accept that he won't win every pot. He has come a LONG way from when he used to do this all the time but plays like that long term will have you get stacked. That terrible play almost cost him like $900k. It's just straight up not a good play under any circumstances. Airball, Garrett, Ben, Andy, guys like them call there for sure especially knowing how Ethan plays. I do agree that not having the nuts and the stakes play a huge factor and anyone would be nervous there but if you're folding in spots like that cause of the stakes then you shouldn't be playing games that big.

      Not really. That airball guy is not very good from what I've seen.
      On that Dwan Polk hand where Dwan foolishly took FOREVER on a clear river call.... airball just kept running his banter at Doug.
      He said something so alarming that literally gave away how he plays . . .
      How would you have played Dwans boat? Airball answers " I'm shoving on the river. Boats I just shove. Laugh luagh laugh"
      That guy would get torched vs any seasoned vet who understands ranges.
      When he bets big in a lot of spots...he has the nuts.
      But when he doesn't bet big...you can rule out so many hands.
      What hands is a guy like this bluffing with on that King High connected flop? Then with that turn card.....The value hands like sets and two pairs have you crushed...and now some of those bluffs got there.
      AA are an EASY fold on that board against this guy.

    Nothing short of a W for the poker world to see Tony G again in the mix, for an epic (although arguably tempered 85% of the time) cash game with loads on the line. I believe that many wished he wasn't so obviously tired (and perhaps sick with all the coughing), or longed for the old Tony G plays against folks like Hellmuth and Robl - but this Tony G was subdued and tighter - but like you said, still won $ and overall made great plays.
    Maybe it's time he got "Polked" heads up at The Lodge? I wouldn't be the only 30-something probably -degenerate scheduling time to tune into that stream. It's not bre-e-e-a-aking news, but an opinion from a Michigander who loves poker in all forms.

    On day 2 of the stream, Huss was needled endlessly by Rob and JRB with some soft needles from Ben. Huss sat their, took it like a champ, and had a good winning session, which made me a fan of his. For the day 3 Huss vs. Wes saga, I agree with Huss that Wesley was boring AF and senselessly bought in for 3 Million (pretty sure he was never up or down more than 100k), but Huss's needling of Wes was a bit too much for my taste. Huss was definitely the instigator and Wesley eventually felt like he had to clap back at Huss. They both eventually said things that would get you removed from most casinos for at least a 24 hour ban. I'd still much rather have Huss in these big games than Wesley, but it's better when Huss has some more seasoned vets to engage in needling skirmishes.
